My husband moved from another care home to this establishment following concerns there. We were recommend The Firs and found the recommendation to be correct! From the staff to accommodation and care it has been exceptional. Staff have been so accommodating to my husbands care needs. My husband has
gone from hell to heaven.

We definately chose the perfect place for our dad. The whole team at The Firs are amazing. The home is very clean and homely. The management team always keep us informed of any changes.

A great experience. I was nervous about going into a nursing home for respite, but from the moment I go to The First I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The staff are excellent, my room was cosy and the food was really good. I enjoyed my full English every morning. I was treated like a
king and would definitely come back to The Firs for a stay.

Absolutelty excellent service from the whole staff at The Firs! I was apprehensive about my husband going in for respite, but from the assessment at home to him being discharged, we couldn't have been put more at ease or welcomed. My husband was happy and content from the moment he arrived. The
staff also made sure we made wonderful memories to cherish. From making Valentine's Day memorable to getting my husband and I out for a meal, which we hadn't done for 2 years. Simply amazing. Definitely go back when respite needed again.

Absolutely all the staff are truly amazing in their level of care and compassion given to all residents. They go out of their way to make residents and their families feel a part of a big happy family.

Since my husband went into The Firs he has received excellent care. The carers are extremely patient and he can be very hard work. Every member of staff including the domestic are happy to spend time with him and support me. The nursing staff are very good, and the manager is always willing to offer
support to me.

My auntie is a resident and I feel happy in the knowledge that she is safe and being well looked after. Her health is gradually deteriorating, but the girls looking after her keep us updated. My auntie enjoys the company of the other residents and staff and loves to join in with all the activities
and entertainment that is always happening. She has little opportunity to be bored!

A nursing home to be recommended for all aspects of your loved one's care. Compassionate, attentive and dignified staff. Home-cooked meals and snacks. Clean, tidy, orderly bedrooms. Pretty, wheelchair friendly garden.

The care, love and kindness shown to my mum by all the staff is incredible. It’s a friendly, fun atmosphere, and as a family, we are well-informed about events, meetings and any care requirements. The discussions with staff are honest and realistic and always show deep respect for residents. Having
been concerned about Mum going into nursing care, I don’t believe we could have found anywhere to better The Firs. It’s been a great relief to know that she has 24-hour care, and she absolutely loves the many staff members who care for her. The social side is great with activities, which cater for many tastes, including trips out, which the residents really enjoy. It’s an amazing and very caring home.

Happy with all the work that’s carried out in the home. We can see the hard work put in by each individual member of staff. There is always a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome each time we visit. The staff are always quick to meet the needs of residents and clearly know them well. Activities and

The care and compassion shown to my mum go above and beyond what is expected. The staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. We as a family can rest assured that mum is well cared for and is safe and secure at all times and that is worth its weight in gold. The Firs is like
an extended family and I for one would highly recommend it.

My sister came into The Firs for end-of-life care. I can not fault the love and care she and her family received from the moment she entered the home. It wasn't possible for her to be at home in her final weeks, but the staff were brilliant at ensuring a homely environment allowing my sister a
comfortable loving place to live her last 2 weeks of life.

The Firs Nursing Home provides an excellent and compassionate standard of care. All the residents are made to feel at home and have stimulating activities. The staff are attentive and caring and relate well to residents.

I visit my mother regularly and the staff are always helpful. My mother is well cared for and her dignity preserved. Before she became ill 'end of life' she enjoyed many activities - bingo, quizzes etc. The staff respond quickly when the buzzer is rung. Although they are always busy they make time
to have a 'short chat'! the staff show great empathy and really care for their resident's well-being. I would be willing to recommend The Firs to anyone! Well done to all!

The Firs and every single member of staff are exceptional.
The care, love and warmth they showed my dear friend in the last 2 weeks of her life was amazing.
They made her feel so comfortable and happy in the 2 weeks she was there.
All the staff were approachable and friendly to my friend and her
visitors.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Overall, the food was lovely, the home was clean and all the staff were incredible at their jobs. Thank you so much.

Mum has been in The Firs for nearly a year, during which time she has been well cared for. When we visit, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the general atmosphere of the home is good. The staff take the trouble to provide care and stimulation for the residents in the form of
activities and entertainment.

I have never had a problem with the home at all. The staff are brilliant with me and my friend, who is the resident. He seems really happy where he is. The staff are fantastic in all ways keeping me informed of my friend's needs. I would recommend The Firs to anyone.
