My mum has recently moved in to Spenser Grove for a rest bite period due her Dementia worsening and starting to wander outside at night. The staff have really looked after her, helping her settle in, making her feel welcome and encouraging her to get involved with the regular activity's on offer.
The rooms & facility's are excellent, very clean & tidy. Mum has now settled in & we're in the process of hopefully making this her new home. Staff are well trained and very kind/patient when looking after residents. The food is very good with choices at every meal. My mum is now safe and happy again, which is great to see.

Excellent overall care, staff are empathetic with residents needs. Management are always available to discuss care plans, respite stays and day care if warranted.
Day care is also available, which helps myself as a carer to plan for the week ahead. Day residents are always made welcome when
visiting.
Security at the home is excellent and visitors have to sign in and out electronically and wear an identification badge when visiting.

Our mum is 91 and moved into Spencer Grove in December, after a spell of uncharacteristic illness. She has settled so well, beyond her (and our) expectations. All the staff and carers have the residents welfare and happiness as their utmost priority. There is a comprehensive programme of
entertainment and the Montesorri-led activities are well structured. Our mum is happy there - what more could we ask for?

The team provide exceptional care, facilities and entertainment. Mum has only been a resident for 2 months, but has settled in really well, thanks to the induction and attention she has received. We have great confidence in the experience Mum is receiving and grateful that the transition from
independent living to residential care has been managed well by the management and staff. Mums health and mobility has improved and she seems far more social than living on her own. Great job Team Spencer Grove and thank you.

My Father has had to move down on to the nursing floor due to his needs. I was apporached with care and asked about my thoughts. They gave me all the information I needed and told me that I did not need to be there to help move his things etc, they would be able to do all of this for him. They
showed me two rooms and after seeing them and a chat about them it was clear which was the best room to meet his needs.
After they had moved him, they had found some items that they thought to be special, they had kept safe untill I vistited him next time. I was very greatful for this as they were some picutres that my father had drawn and i will treatsure them.
The staff are always friendly and show care and compasion.

well looked after. Thank you all.

Mum has been in the care of Spencer Grove since January 2023 when she was admitted on End of Life Care. From that day to this her life has improved immeasurably. Though she was well cared for at home, I could only be there for a certain number of hours and she didn't want it to be otherwise, but
when she became poorly it was clear we couldn't cope between us. Mum chose Spencer Grove as her new home as they had also cared for my Dad at the end of his life, so she is where she wants to be and completely content. This is something she wants everyone who visits to know. She has friends, she has a cosy room, she is waited on for all her needs and now when I visit, we have quality time together, instead of me doing all manner of necessary chores, so it benefits us both. The Spencer Grove Team, across the board, are so caring and kind that Mum feels she is at the heart of a new family who cherish and care for her throughout each day.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their care of Jill. After a recent illness, with careful treatment and assistance she has recovered and is now relatively stable.
As her needs changed, things were constantly assessed and altered to give her the best care.
The fact that there is both residential
and nursing at the same facility gives you the options you need as the persons health changes over time.
There are even staff dedicated to the well-being of the mind. Keeping residents active with games, crafts, quizzes, as well as regular entertainers and other events.
The staff and facility are absolutely outstanding.

Lovely, kind, caring, staff who have really tried to help my mum settle in even though she has struggled. They have gone to great lengths to make her feel at home. The home is immaculate and looks more like a hotel than a care facility. The activities are always fun, varied and the residents are
encouraged to join in. The live music acts they have visiting really boosts the morale of the residents. Lots of smiles and most importantly laughter.

Spencer Grove is an excellent home for my mother. The staff are very caring and committed to helping the residents. The many activities are varied, interesting and stimulating. Mum really appreciates having everything done for her; not having to worry about household maintenance, shopping,

My mum has lived at Spencer Grove for around 18 months after a big decline in her health meant it wasn't safe for her to live on her own. Right from the first moment we went through the doors we knew it would be the right place for her.
The staff really are miracle workers. They've helped Mum get
back to a physical level we didn't think possible as a family, she's so happy and settled, she's safe and so well looked after, and she's made genuine friendships with some of the other residents too.
With me not living nearby it's so reassuring for me to know that Mum is in such a great place. And with great people, I should add - the staff are just fantastic. They are brilliant with the residents, and also their families; they've always got time to discuss any thoughts or concerns. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Spencer Grove isn't just a care home - it's a home for those who live there, and somewhere you can look forward to visiting.
If I could give higher ratings I would do.
