Having found ourselves in a situation where needing end of life care, we was given a list of homes to choose from it was all very allian to us as a family having never been in the situation before, we picked the park as our first choice and I am so glad we did, I was put at ease almost straight away
after speaking with Violet on the morning of my uncles arrival.Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff all very accommodating, any questions regarding my uncles care were answered promptly and he was looked after well if only for a short time, should we find ourselves needing care i would have no hesitation in choosing the park again. A big thank you to all members of staff we came into contact with.

My father in law was on palative care when entering the home. The staff were annoying and caring throughout his stay. He was mostly in his room so some staff members played board games with him. After he passed they prepared him lovely as we all said our goodbyes. I would recomend this home to
anyone. Thank you.

my wife was admitted to the park direct from a stay at hospital having been diagnosed with altziemers. it took a lot of searching and visiting other homes until a visit to the park where the atmosphere immediatley felt homely with a calming atmosphere, the staff were compassionate and friendly,
nothing was too much trouble, they had a vocation not just a job, margaret was treated with care, respect and kindness, her room was clean and tidy, most of all the open door policy ensured that she could always see nurses and care staff and they could see her. she was included in activities and taken out into the garden on the warm sunny days.it relieved pressure on myself knowning that she was being looked after 24/7 professionally, i was also regularly kept informed by the staff of her progress. my thanks to all the staff for their care and attention.

My mother was admitted for end of life care following a stroke. The staff were compassionate and empathetic throughout. We felt her care was exceptional. This made her last few weeks as comfortable as possible.
Importantly, communication was excellent. We had full trust in the staff at all times.
Thank you.

The staff and level of care at The Park was very friendly and understanding during a difficult couple of weeks at The Park. I would like to thank everyone for their professional approach, good advice and kindness. In particular, the manager was very experienced, empathetic and knowledgeable, taking
into consideration the needs and welfare of the resident and family. A big thank you to all the staff.

After over 2 years of in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, we thought we were losing my sister. Then she came to The Park Residential and Nursing Home - Sanctuary Care, and her whole life changed. The staff there helped her eat good food, learn activities. She was treated with dignity and felt
safe again. She made friends with many residents and staff and learned to live a better life. When I called to talk to her, they would take the phone to her and hold it to her ear so we could talk. I visited the home, and everyone was courteous and friendly.

We found the home to be clean and appeared well run.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and seemed happy.
The food looked nice and drinks were offered throughout the day.
Once dad was given the all clear to walk using his Zimmer the staff encouraged him to walk to the dining room for meals.

I have found the Park staff to be very friendly and kind to my mum and to all our family when visiting. They showed us around and were very thorough and understanding of my mums needs. They have helped us and kept us informed of how my mum is settling in to her new home. They have allowed us to
spend a lot of time with her while she is transitioning into their care. The home has a good feel to it and it is clean and my mum has a lovely room with a door to the garden which is so lovely and we can make it her own.

Stepdad has only been at The Park a short time but he has been made to feel welcome. He has been well cared for and looked after. Everyone is very friendly and kind. There are lots of smaller sitting rooms that are lovely to use when the family visit. Bedrooms are comfortable and very well presented
with a warm cosy feel. One staff member in particular in admin has been great; so friendly, informative and helpful.

My husband has not been in long but up to yet everything okay. Pleased with room and carers.
25 November 2024
Having used two non-Sanctuary care homes for respite care 10-14 days prior to his admittance to The Park, I realise the three Sanctuary homes in Chaddesden are all not up to the aforesaid standard. These were the only ones offered at the time. My husband's room reminds me of a ship's cabin, nothing
like the room we were shown when we did the viewing. I appreciate my husband is doubly incontinent so most days the bed hasn't been remade as it is left to dry out. I would also comment I don't think he is encouraged to clean his teeth or put his plate with 6 teeth on it in the cleaning tabs I provided.

My brother-in-law has been in a room at The Park Nursing Home since November 2023. He has gained wirght and looks very happy. He is confined to his bed, but looks well looked after. His room is comfortable and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The manager explained why the staff were not
able to move him around very much. We understood the constraints and were very happy with the quality of care given.

When visiting my friend at the home he seems happy and settled, though sometimes I think he is a little bored. He speaks well of the staff staying they are friendly and helpful. From my own observations, I have never seen any activities taking place with residents. I also feel the lovely garden is
underused again never seen any residents sitting and enjoying the warm fresh air.

The service, care and compassion shown to my aunty was excellent. She was on end-of-life care but was always treated with the dignity she deserved. The staff also looked after the visitors, which helped us through a very distressing time. Would like to say a very big thank you for all you have done
to help. Wishing you all the very best in what you do.

From the moment you walk in, The Park is a very welcoming place. All staff are very friendly and helpful and are on hand to answer any queries.

Our aunt came in on July 9th Tuesday, for end-of-life care, and has received excellent care and attention. The staff have all been considerate, understanding and very professional at all times. We would not hesitate to recommend 'The Park' to anyone. Well done to you all.
25 June 2024
My mum has been a resident since October 2023. The daily care staff are caring and considerate of Mum's needs. The nursing staff have taken appropriate action when required, escalating issues to the GP in a timely manner. The management and admin team have dealt with any queries or incidents with
openness and honesty, providing a speedy and satisfactory response. The overall internal condition of the building is clean and tidy. Mealtimes are at set periods which helps give mum a routine each day, as do set regular times for showering/bathing. Whilst some mindful and/or physical activities during the day may be arranged, as mum is aged 98 and has lost her sight, it is not always possible for her to engage.
