View Full Details of Ashby Court Care HomeWhilst going through an extremely distressing and difficult time, my mum has received the very best care and attention for all her needs. I honestly couldn't praise all of the staff at Ashby Court enough. This extends not only to my mum but to myself at this difficult time. The extremely high standards are apparent in all aspects. Thank you will never be enough!
The staff are always welcoming and communicative. All areas, including my parents' room, are kept extremely clean. My parents are very happy here.
Extremely happy with the care my mother in law has received since coming to the home in April this year. Staff couldn't be kinder and have shown such patience and care towards her and us when we have had concerns or worries. Care is personalised and staff understand each resident on a personal/individual basis.
Staff are always pleasant. We as a family are happy with the care our mum is receiving. Any concerns are always addressed promptly.
The staff and nursing staff are very caring towards my grandmother. Very attentive and are always available. Reassuring and kind, nothing is ever too much bother for them.
Very good and lovely home.
Mum has been a resident for 2 months. I have been very pleased with the care she has received on the nursing wing. The nurses regularly update me on her health and well-being. The care team are also excellent. Any health concerns have been flagged to her GP or the out of hours team swiftly to ensure necessary medications or treatments are started without delay. Overall the experience has been excellent and mum has settled well.
My sister in law has been at the home for over 12 months now, this is an excellent home, plenty of activities, great communication with relatives, all needs catered for, all round excellent home , manager of the home is excellent
My parents moved into Ashby Court due to my mothers ill health and complex needs. My father chose to go with her although he did not need care at the time. After her death he stayed at Ashby Court until his death this year by which time he had been resident for 8.5 years. The great strength of Ashby Court is its care for the individual and flexibility within that care. My parents needs were vastly different but the staff did the nursing care of my mother whilst allowing my father to feel he was still looking after her. At the same time the staff made efforts to give him time off to leave the Home for meetings and activities in the town. There was always open dialogue between myself the staff and and my father as to his care right up until his short final illness which was managed with respect for his wishes and in a dignified manner. I always felt the staff cared about the residents and took the trouble to get to know who they were. Five stars well deserved
I am more than satisfied with the level of care my mother receives at Ashby Court. The staff are always friendly and attentive but clear and professional. It gives me great confidence that my mother is getting the care and support she needs in a great environment, thankyou
Always pleased to see how well my step-mum looks and how she is well looked after. The staff are friendly and obviously have rapport with her. The care home itself is always clean, bright and well maintained. I understand that the bedrooms are being refreshed I would highly recommend Ashby Court and its staff.
Mum has dementia and is cared for very well. Staff are professional but are very caring and patient. She is allowed to get up and go to bed as she wants. She may not always want to eat at the dedicated meal times, but she is always fed when she is ready. There is always food and drink available. She participates in activities when she is able and enjoys the interactions. Family are kept informed of any issues, promptly as they arise. Notwithstanding the inherent confusion of mum's condition, she is happy and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for staff when helping mum. It's all on mum's terms, as she can cope, she is the centre of things.
My Mum was a resident at Ashby Court from December 2023 until her death there on 27th May 2025. During that period she was cared for wonderfully well. The staff catered for her needs diligently and well and my sister and I were able to approach staff to have questions answered whenever we needed. Mum began her residency upstairs in the nursing unit but moved downstairs when her condition improved sufficiently and we were pleased with the way she was encouraged to take part in activities and communal mealtimes. As mum's condition worsened she was taken back upstairs in the last weeks of her life and was cared for with compassion and professionalism by the nurses and other carers. We were particularly grateful for the manner in which we were informed of mum's death and by the the care we and she received in the immediate aftermath. To conclude, we are very glad that mum spent her last months in such a caring environment.
Mam is well cared for. her limited needs are taken care of. She has a nice room and she eats well. She joins in with activities and has said on a number of occasions that she's happy at Ashby Court.
My Nanna has been with this care home for over 8 years. In that time we have only ever had positive experiences. The dementia unit is secure and well looked after. The staff are very friendly and do everything they can to ensure the residents are cared for in a safe and comfortable way. I would definitely recommend Ashby Court.
Brilliant team who looked after my dad and the visiting family brilliantly well. Everyone was great at what they do and were friendly and upbeat at all times. As he neared the end the nurses in particular were honest and empathetic.
Ashby Court Nursing Home provides excellent care for my mother with a dedicated staff who prioritize the well being of the residents. The facility is clean and well maintained with an excellent variety of activities to keep all residents engaged, which mother enjoys immensely. As a family we feel that mum is safe and comfortable here and we appreciate the open communication with all the staff and management at Ashby Court.
My nanna has been in this care home for the last 8+ years. The first couple of years also spent with my grandad who has sadly passed away. They lived together in a double room on the dementia unit which was very accommodating. I would often visit them both in the living room which was lovely and inviting and the staff were always friendly. The staff made my grandads final few days very comfortable and peaceful for him which we are very grateful for. Nanna is now in the nursing unit and she has a lovely room with bright light and lots of pictures on her wall. I have always had a great experience with all of the nursing staff who seem happy to be at work and have a lovely relationship with my nanna. She is always dressed well and clean. The food is prepared to a high standard and smells great. I will always speak highly of this care home.
Always had a pleasant experience when visiting my Grandma. The care home is clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly. I've also experienced my Grandma getting great care when I arrived. It's a very secure safe space.
Her room has a large plastered patch on the wall that has been there for a year. Considering the cost of the room, I would expect redecoration. The staff are lovely and they lay on activities most weeks which is nice. The cost is incredibly high.
