View Full Details of Doulton Court Care HomeMy aunty spent her final days at this home and on each time we visited we were greeted in such a welcoming and friendly way. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they showed such care and respect towards my aunt, even though she was no longer able to communicate with them. I know she would have been so grateful. It was far better than our expectations of a nursing home. We were allowed to visit whenever we wanted and the home environment was lovely and clean. The managers were really open and easy to talk to and the nurses and carers were brilliant with us and her. My aunty came to this home for the end of her life and as a family we could not have wished for a better place, would highly recommend to anyone.
I needed short term care for my father-in-law. As soon as I walked into Doulton Court, I knew it was the right place. The manager showed me round, she was lovely, so friendly. My father-in-law had four nights there and came out so much better. All the staff were marvelous.
Thank you so much for all your help and support in arranging a blessing at Doulton Court so that our grandad could walk me up the aisle. You all put on quite an event and we felt so welcomed. The food, and decorations were wonderful and the family had a wonderful afternoon with memories made that will last a lifetime.
My brother-in-law moved to this very good care home on the 1st of June 2023 and has shown in just three weeks a remarkable transformation of character. His cognitive condition is improving daily which relieves any anxiety and proves that management and staff are operating in a very correct way. We cannot thank all involved with my brother-in-law enough for their expertise and knowledge of the care system. They should not be faulted.
I am really pleased with this home. The care that Mum receives is excellent. Overall staff are very friendly and welcoming. Makes me feel very pleasant with the family and helpful.
Very pleased with the care and the very relaxed atmosphere at the home, the staff are very friendly and caring. It is also very clean and has plenty of open spaces plus a lovely garden to relax in and feel safe at all times.
The staff have been extremely helpful and understanding during a very traumatic time. I feel totally reassured that my mother will be well cared for and very happy in Doulton Court.
I just want to express my utmost gratitude to all staff members and others connected with Doulton Court Care Home who cared for my sister whilst a resident, I and the entire extended family will never be able to thank you all enough for the care, love and affection you gave to her. You are a credit to the caring profession and the system of provision of residential homes.
The staff showed an enormous amount of care and affection towards my relative.
Attended my first meeting with new managers I was well impressed, they have got some great ideas and seem very committed to carrying them out.
The staff are caring and go out of their way to make the residents feel loved and respected. The home try to make residents' families feel included.
Since the new manager has taken over, I have seen several positive changes. All Mum's paperwork is correct and stored correctly. Mum's overall care seems better and Mum is happier and healthier since the new manager taking over. Mum has not had one infection since fluids are being pushed and Mum moving downstairs. Since the new manager taking over, I feel fully confident Mum is in good hands. Thank you guys for all your hard work.
My husband is always happy and well cared for. He enjoys his meals which are varied and look and smell appetising.
Lovely caring people, you feel you are a person, not just a number. Nice outlook, has good food and is nice and warm. Could do with better wifi and my room had no tv. Residents were friendly and they were helpful as to have a large scooter being their for outside use.
My husband spent the last four weeks of his life in the care of Doulton Court. Every member of the team took great care of him and of me too. It was the right decision to have him cared for by professional people although a difficult decision for me to take at the time.
My dad has been in Doulton Court Care Home for respite. As a family, we are so impressed, he has come on leaps and bounds (he has vascular dementia). We are now considering a full-time move for him. Food is exceptional and Dad is now eating properly.
My only complaint was the extremely poor internet connection. Also, the phone signal was almost non-existent. I appreciate that the clientele was not likely to use the facilities (I was only there due to an emergency respite period). I found in my case it was so frustrating to be so cut off. I would have liked to be able to stream programmes that are not available on Freeview or be able to phone and receive calls from family via internet services. Otherwise, the staff were excellent in making my stay comfortable for which I send thanks.
Fantastic place! Mum arrived in November 2021 in a very sorry state from a previous care home. Doulton Court staff have done wonders. Mum is nearly back to her old self, with encouragement and great food she has put weight on. She now leaves her room and joins in activities. I often see her smiling and laughing which we hadn't seen for a long while. Thank you Doulton Court for bringing our mum back to us.
How lovely are the staff at Doulton Court? Mum sadly passed away on 30th April 2022 and all the staff were so caring, not just to mother but to all of the family. We were kept well informed of Mother's condition and she was well cared for and kept comfortable right up until the end. We would like to say a special thank you to one member of staff who truly has a special gift in her vocation. We could not have found a better place for Mother to spend her final days. The passion, motivation and empathy shown to every person by all of the staff were truly touching to see right from the cleaning and kitchen staff up to the management. Thank you all.
My dad was admitted to Doulton Court Care Home after a hospital stay. On arrival at Doulton Court, he was made very welcome. From day one, the carers and all staff treated Dad with genuine care, dignity and respect. We noticed how well Dad looked and how happy he was. Unfortunately, Dad was re-hospitalised for a short period but was eager to return home, which he meant Doulton Court. Dad is offered a choice at all times and enjoys the variety in his meals.
