I fell and broke my hip at home and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where I was operated on and spent a week recovering. I chose to stay at The Grosvenor Hall Care Home for my rehabilitation. The care that I received here was excellent, and the staff were all very attentive, kind and
empathetic. Thank you all very much.

Being a frequent visitor has been a real eye opener as each visit has seen a patient in tears and so very unhappy with quality of care, sympathy and hygiene issues to name a few.
The buzzers for someone needing some help are going constantly and it often appears as if it's ignored without any idea
as to the problem. Physio is very hit and miss considering you are in for intensive physio and more days than not are even a no show.

Overall I'm very pleased with the care my mum is getting and feel at ease she is in safe hands. Whilst mum is recovering from a broken ankle she has been well looked after and mostly at ease in her room.

This was my first stay in a care home, while I was waiting for brain surgery to treat my condition. At the time, I was living with severe mobility problems, cognitive difficulties and incontinence. I was also frightened and overwhelmed. From the moment I arrived at Grosvenor Hall Care Home the team
made me feel genuinely welcome. Although my days were long and I was often confined to my bed, I never felt forgotten or alone. Staff came by regularly, not just to provide care, but to check on me, reassure me and offer comfort. Those small human moments meant more than they may realise. The team showed patience, kindness and dignity at all times even when my needs were complex and fluctuating. They treated me as a person not a condition. I am deeply grateful everyone at Grosvenor Hall for their compassion, professionalism and warmth during a very vulnerable time in my life. Their care made a difficult person far more bearable and I will always remember their kindness. Thank you.

I came into the Grosvenor Hall Care Home to top up a stay at another care home - all arranged by community health services.
Before all this, I had spent time in hospital following a couple of strokes.
The initial transitional care was arranged because I needed to be looked after, as well as being
ill, my husband, Mick, had to go into hospital for a bowel cancer operation, so neither of us was available to care for the other. Thankfully provided excellent care in every way. Thank you.

Most of the carers are very good and treat clients with respect and attention. Sometimes there are delays in visiting clients when the staff are dealing with other clients. The catering is very good with choices at each meal and more than adequate is served. Rooms are very clean and kept tidy, en
suites in the rooms used to enable clients privacy in washing and personal visits to toilets. TV in rooms used by my relative.

I visit my wife 4 times a week. She has been on nursing care for 18 months. Her room is always clean and she is comfortable and content. She has dementia. Every time I visit I am greeted with genuine smiles by the staff. All of them. She could not be better cared or anywhere else.

The Grosvenor Hall Care Home exemplifies everything good about the finest residential care on offer. I was privileged to be invited to stay following a traffic accident. I shall always remember how lovely, spotless and comfortable the whole premises were. The staff are wonderful. I felt safe,
comfortable and cared for all the time. They work so hard, are professional, caring and looked after us as if they were family. The food was excellent. Lots of choice and such healthy dishes. There can be no better place to stay in England. Thanks to all of you.

My Father was residing in Grosvenor care home for nearly five years and has received constant care and attention, sometimes exceeding our expectations. The kindness of their staff has moved us on many occasions. I can only recommend this care home if you look for a place to welcome your loved one,
particularly if they have Alzheimer's disease. Despite his mental and physical decline, he has enjoyed his time there and we can only be grateful to the staff and residents who helped him live the last years of his life comfortably.

My mum was brought here after her knee operation in hospital.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. She was unable to get out of bed, but staff were good changing her nappies when needed. Meals were a bit hit and miss, but I was staying with her so I was able to top up. Beeping from the
call buttons were very annoying all through the night.

The staff are all very friendly and always have a smile, there are activities for all residents, they try to get them all involved so they get used to socialising. It's a very calm atmosphere, my dad is very content and well looked after. It's more like a hotel.
I highly recommend.

I have worked in the care sector for a number of years and have worked in this sector for many of them. I have never worked in the home, however, I have been a visitor for the past 2 years. The first year appeared satisfactory. Unfortunately in this last 12 months, myself and family have witnessed
many changes within the home and unfortunately all not positive. My relative and other residents I noticed, never had hygiene and toileting needs met whenever myself or other relatives visited. I had to ask for 3 weeks for her nails to be cleaned to no avail resulting in doing it myself. Staff at times could be very rude and appeared uncaring. On end of life, we weren't told until I visited the next day, along with an unexplained cut to her toe that I had to point out to be treated before infection. End of life medication was in the building however we had to plead with 2 nurses to administer the much needed medication with the backing of 3 staff members at the home. A very disappointing ordeal.
