View Full Details of Cheaney Court Care HomeMy husband moved to Cheaney Court from a care home in Wellingborough and he couldn't have gone to a better place. He calls it his home and although he tends to have a troubled mind he's very attached to 'Cheaney' and often wants to be reassured that he is in 'Cheaney'. The staff are all vigilant over the residents and are constantly watching that they are safe. They often sit next to a resident for a quick chat if they have a moment to spare and it's a delight to see an old face light up because they've been given attention. They are approachable, as is the manager and deputy manager and will always give time to listen to any queries from visitors. He is dressed in clean clothes daily. The food is nutritious and fresh and each plate is individually named to ensure each person has their own appropriate meal and plate size. I have no worries. My husband, after being in four care homes due to unfortunate circumstances, is now in the best. An excellent care home .
Good visit. Very helpful staff. Mum seemed as happy as she could be. Mum likes the staff.
Everytime I visit mum at Cheaney Court I'm received with warmth and care. I know that mum's every need is met with are and compassion, which is invaluable. The August BBQ was a huge success bringing staff, residents and family together for a lovely event. Thank you. Mum is settled, safe and happy, for which I am very grateful. Thank you very much.
The overall experience of Cheaney Court Care Home and their staff has been of a high standard and without a doubt they have put their patients interests first and foremost. Thank you everyone for your help & dedication to your profession.
The whole staff were helpful, compassionate, skilled etc and looked after my brother in his last days in the best way possible with a great deal of thought towarda his relatives as well.
My dad had been at Cheaney Court since September last year. Unfortunately my dad passed away on the 15.06.25. From when my dad went into Cheaney Court until he passed away the care that was provided was outstanding, even after he had passed away he was still treated with the upmost respect. The manager is very approachable, listens to families & shows empathy. The nurses are fantastic at their jobs, they don't just care they really care! Listening to my dad's wishes as well as the family. The staff are amazing, always friendly & welcoming. It felt I wasn't just visiting my dad but going to his home & seeing friends. I know my dad felt happy & safe there, he never complained, said that staff do a fantastic job & that one staff member in particular goes above & beyond, would listen to what dad liked & wanted, organised was his words. All the staff need recognition for what they do every day, in my eyes they are all angels! I'm glad dad got to spend his last few months at Cheaney Court.
Dad has settled in really well, a true home from home. All the staff are wonderful, nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is great. Dad enjoys the organised activities and socialising with others, and he loves the singing afternoons. His medical needs are well managed. I am always kept informed about how Dad is doing, which gives me peace of mind. Thank you for everything!
Nursing staff were attentive to mums changing health needs. The staff were willing to discuss mums needs with me. Listened to my views and concerns. A good range of activities for residents to join in with.
Everyone very kind, helpful, answered all question as best as they could. Just all round a great place. Clean, no smells, good food. Nothing but nice things to say.
Staff and management always helpful, happy and polite. What strikes is that staff seem happy. My mother's care has been exemplay, despite lots of medical intervention and she is very happy with this herself. I would highly recommend.
Fabulous care home, staff all excellent! Everyone speaks to you, friendly and patient. Spotlessly clean too!
My mother received excellent care and service firstly as a respite and in later years a resident. They showed great care and concern in the last 2 months of her life and she passed with dignity
Our Mother was a resident at Cheaney Court for almost three years. In that time her care was exceptional! The team led by a professional manager worked extremely hard to provide a safe, kind and welcoming environment for both residents and visitors alike. My family do not hesitate to thank the whole team for their care and efficiency in making our Mother's final days comfortable and safe.
Our brother-in-law was a resident here for around six months and we found the staff and care were excellent. Everyone is always very kind and caring.
I certainly did not expect to have to need a nursing home but you have made my stay painless and comfortable. Thank you everyone, management, nurses, carers, domestics, kitchen staff and maintenance. If I've forgotten anyone apologies. Thanks again.
A huge thank you to all the staff at Cheaney Court for an excellent, well-run home. My dad was a resident here for nearly a year. The staff were wonderful and warm and caring. I used to visit regularly, the home was always clean, the staff were all familiar faces and treated the residents kindly with warmth and humour. You could regularly hear laughter in the corridors and everyone managed to stay cheerful and positive, even under trying situations. It is hard to move a parent to a home, necessary this time for health reasons, but Cheaney Court made it easy and gave regular updates. Dad sadly passed away in October, and this was treated with kindness and compassion. Thank you all again.
My father was transferred directly from the hospital to Cheaney Court, Desborough suffering from multiple debilitating ailments. Every effort was made by the staff to assist with physical recovery, providing encouragement where needed while also looking out for his mental well-being. Staff always went the extra mile to make both Dad and visitors feel welcome and at home - a nice atmosphere makes for pleasant visits. My thanks to the staff and management, highly recommended.
I am really pleased to see my uncle looking tidy, clean and well. His room is also very homely and I am very satisfied with the level of care.
Since my father has become a resident at Cheaney Court he has been treated with nothing but care, kindness and dignity. All the staff greet my father by his name and never pass him without a few cheery words or conversation if they have the time. While my father is reluctant to join in the many activities on offer he is still gently and kindly encouraged to participate. With regards to the cleanliness and food provided both are excellent. On behalf of my mother and myself, I wish to thank the management and staff. We are both very grateful.
My Father has been in Cheaney Court since November 2023. The care he has received has been of a high standard even when he is going through an "awkward day". The main complaint from Dad is the food is boring, especially as he has to have mashed food due to a swallowing problem and the desserts are boring. The staff seem kind and professional in a difficult working profession.
