My step father was in Polebrook from June 2024 to October 2025. He had full nursing care in the later stages of his time at Polebrook and I was more than happy with the care he received. I liked that we could visit whatever time of day or evening. There were always plenty of staff around. The staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, even offering us a drink when we visited, finding chairs for us to sit on. Plenty of entertainment put on for residents and family. Communication was very good too. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this care home to anyone facing the prospect of putting an elderly family member into care. Minor detail, ther is plenty of parking too.

My mother has been looked after very well in the nearly 3 years she has been resident at Polebrook the staff genuinely care about her and are always friendly to myself and the rest of the family when we visit If we have any questions these are answered promptly and in good detail . We all feel happy that our mother is in such good care and being looked after so well . Thank you

I have no concerns about the care my husband is receiving the staff are caring and kind. Visiting is no problem and I am often offered a cup of tea! The parking is easy and the grounds maintained so outdoor events can take place in a nice environment.

All members of staff are an absolute credit to Polebrook nursing home, always welcoming with a cheery hello and time to discuss residents care and needs. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Patience and resilience towards residents is always very much apparent, treating residents with compassion and dignity. A wonderful team who have always been outstanding in every way caring for my mother.

Since mum was admitted to care at Polebrook i have nothing but praise for the staff each and every one of them they are informative of mums ongoing care monitoring her diet & health issues Always a warm welcome to visit & good to see mum comftable & happy thankyou for such amazing care

Our father is always very clean and tidy and well shaved. The home is always clean and bright and staff very welcoming.We realise Dad isn't the easiest to deal with but everyone is so kind and patient with him. Following the latest episode with his health, we were made aware immediately of his condition and kept up to date as things progressed. Whenever I make contact with the home I always receive a prompt response. Overall the family are very impressed with all the staff at Polebrook who do an amazing job. Thank you

My Dad is on the Pathway and has 24/7 care now. He is cleaned, fed and made sure he is ok. The organised functions for residents & guests are superb. For all of this I & my family thank the care staff.

Always a pleasure going to polebrook everyone makes you feel very welcome, the staff are amazing, can't say enough nice things about .I try to go to most of th entertainment as I enjoy it as much as my mother in law,its great as she has even made some friends xxxxx

My mother experienced a period of delirium requiring hospitalisation, and her condition was so severe that we feared for her life. Following her diagnosis, the hospital secured placement for her at Polebrook Nursing & Residential Home. Having no prior experience with care homes, I was initially apprehensive. However, since her admission in mid-2024, my mother's well-being has significantly improved. The staff are exceptional; she has developed positive relationships with several caregivers. Their attentiveness is remarkable, ranging from providing comfort to handling incidents such as spills. The staff's familial care is deeply appreciated and exactly what I hoped for. Therefore, I extend my sincere gratitude to every member of the Polebrook staff for creating a safe and supportive environment.

My aunt has lived at Polebrook nursing home since 2021. There is always a happy face on reception to welcome me and I have seen the staff show kindness and patience to the people they are caring for. I feel confident that my aunt is well cared for. It would be helpful if the bedrooms were more wheelchair friendly.

The home is so well run. The staff are welcoming, caring and nothing is too much trouble. I visit my husband daily and have never experienced anything untoward. I would readily recommend this care home to anyone who wants their loved one to receive the care they deserve.

I visit about four to five ladies weekly and there are always activities going on and entertainment. We are very lucky to have four to five activity people every day and one at weekends. Yesterday they had an interactive learning experience which entailed them bringing snakes, spiders and all animals like that the residents always enjoy.

Mum has been a Polebrook resident since 2021 and has always been treated with kindness and respect. The care home is always clean and vibrant with many activities taking place. The whole team there was incredibly supportive to Dad on all his visits and has been very friendly and helpful to everyone else in our family, keeping us fully informed. Thanks very much to everyone there.

The Manager and everyone at Polebrook provided the most wonderful supportive care to my brother-in-law over the last 8 weeks of his life. The kindness, sensitivity and commitment to the highest standards of care was remarkable - service of the highest professional standard, treating him with dignity, love and deeply personal care. Nothing was too much trouble. We and other visitors were always welcome. The atmosphere was one of warmth and trust- a very happy family. We cannot thank them enough.

Mum has been a resident for approximately 20 months. Her care over that time has been excellent. We have been kept informed of issues whenever necessary. The whole staff have her welfare at heart, and carry out their duties with compassion and understanding.

Excellent care shown to my mum. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure she is comfortable and well cared for. They also support me and help me to cope with her condition. Nothing is too much trouble. I can't thank them enough.

Our mum came for 2 weeks respite as an emergency and we were so grateful. We immediately felt she was in very good care and confident she would be safe. From the very beginning we as relatives were welcomed into the home as the staff were so friendly and open. We are so pleased that we can visit any time and nothing is too much trouble. We find all staff whatever their role show respect and care for our mum and us.

Mum was a resident for a short time to receive end-of-life care. She was treated with care and dignity throughout and by everyone. The team were also very helpful and attentive to family members. Thank you for keeping Mum safe and comfortable.

This home has been the best home. The staff treated my mum like their own. Palliative care done with empathy and dignity. Staff are welcoming and patient and caring. Manager is very friendly, compassionate and personable. I would recommend it to friends.
