The care home is very friendly and clean, staff are very caring to all dads needs. The short time he was here was very welcoming and dedicated to his well being. We are very pleased with the dedication and services that he received. We would highly recommend this care home to visitors. Many thanks.

So my sister Ann has been a resident here since January 2025, really can't explain Ann's condition? Dementia/Alzimers is a hideous illness and you don't know what to expect from one visit to the next? Ann can be extremely nasty and really can longer comprehend normality. We visit at different
times and different days.but have found no fault with the care Ann recieves. All the staff are pleasant helpful and kind, given what they deal with each and every day. So thsnkyou a trillion times over. Sandy

Very caring staff. Excellent care for my mum who had dementia. She was very happy in this home. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Silverwood is, as claimed, good but not the 'best' in the market. The staff seem to be well trained and patient. My position and health mean I can do more than most residents, and many of the staff understand I can get around; others have the understanding.

Dad is very happy at Silverwood Care Home. He contributes - leading an art group and managing the garden at the rear - and appreciates being allowed to. He also spends his own money on these projects. The senior nurse and carer are very respectful, and we are impressed with the team - good
communication. His room is ideal (with a patio), and he is allowed to pop out to church whenever he chooses. The food is plentiful - he would prefer more (flavour) but understands why it is 'safe'. We live opposite, so see him 3 - 4 times a week - a pleasure

The family were very happy with the care my mother received at Silverwood Care Home. We felt she was safe and very well cared for. Staff/carers were polite, welcoming and attentive and never ignored any requests from residents or visitors.

My husband has Alzheimer's, which is compounded by aphasia, which inhibits his ability to speak. Following two admissions to hospital, he was moved into care. I was not satisfied with the level of care and moved him to Silverwood in January 2025. We have not looked back; the care and genuine
commitment of the team at Silverwood is wonderful. My husband is demanding, but the carers are so kind and patient, ensuring that his care is of prime importance.

My wife moved from hospital to Silverwood on the 20/2/20 as a family we are very happy with Silverwood the staff are cheerful attentive and caring. The lounge is very comfortable and cosy after I visit I never worry about my wife's care.

Cannot praise Silverwood enough for the care they have given my mother in law over 47 of the last years. She wasn't always easy and the staff have been brilliant with her. Always caring and patient. The home is always clean and tidy and always looks good. Would recommend to anyone should they be in
the position to have to put a loved one in a care facility. With all our gratitude and thanks.

My mother was so lucky to be in this care home. All staff superb. Dedication and commitment first class. My mother was not an easy person. If I could pay the staff in gratitude and respect, they would be millionaires.

I would like to thank all the staff at Silverwood Care Home for their love and care of my parents. I am especially writing to thank them for the care they showed to my father and us in his last few days. All the staff were so attentive and caring. They continually came to check my Dad was
comfortable and were very gentle with him. They looked after us as well and brought cups of tea and snacks. I am so grateful for their kindness.

I would like to thank the staff and management for looking after my husband for 5 and a half years. The care was excellent, especially during Covid when my husband was very ill, but the Head Nurse got him through.
He was always kept clean and well-nourished. The atmosphere at the home was always
happy. He was also encouraged to join in activities which he enjoyed. The home work together as a team and the changes in the residents after settling in are noticeable.
The compassion and care near the end for my husband was wonderful. I would certainly recommend this home.

The above care home was a pleasant place to be. It was bright and very clean in all the areas I visited. The staff were pleasant and helpful whenever I visited. I was very pleased that my husband was 'turned' every two hours during the day to help with the pain of bedsores. My husband was not able
to partake in activities due to his illness but was encouraged to sit in his chair when well enough.

My mum moved into Silverwood in April 2023 when she needed to move to nursing care, which her previous home did not provide.
From the first day, she was lovingly cared for and well attended. Mum settled in easily and was very content.
The staff were wonderful with her and supported us too,
especially during the end of her life. We are so thankful to them for making her last months so comfortable.

My wife was transferred to Silverwood Care Home after it was felt that her condition could not adequately be cared for at her previous home. Having been to see various homes I was impressed by what I considered to be the best care and attention I had seen. I was especially pleased that no agency
staff were used. While she was there she was treated with care and respect, nothing being too much trouble. She was always up, dressed and washed. The staff were always friendly, smiling and helpful and the management always had time to answer any questions. I cannot speak more highly of the care she received in her last months and have no hesitation in saying I would recommend Silverwood Care Home to any family requiring first-class care and attention.

Was a terrible time when my husband had to go into a care home but thankfully Silverwood Care Home made the transition very easy and caring for both my husband and myself. The staff are very caring and are always there for both of us. Very glad that we chose Silverwood.

Mum became a resident 4 years ago entering residential, eventually moving to nursing. The level of care that Mum received on both sides was second to none even though her mood was variable and at times quite challenging.
By the first week in August, at almost 102, it was becoming apparent that Mum
might not have very long as she fell into a deep sleep but the staff continued to rally around treating Mum with the same care, compassion, love and jolliness as they always did, willing her to keep going, speaking to her as if she was awake. Mum’s end-of-life care was wonderful. Her room was made cosy and her favourite music was playing on the radio. She was kept comfortable and staff made time to pop in to hold her hand and speak to her. The last moments were very sad but I had the whole of the Silverwood family offering their support. They were more than marvellous! From Management across the board, they are a family and we can never thank them enough for their outstanding care of Mum.

Very caring staff. Excellent care for my mum who had dementia. She was very happy in this home. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
