View Full Details of Bright Meadows Care HomeMy wife has been a resident of Bright Meadows care home for 18 months. The carers continue to give tremendous care and support to my wife, her personal care is 1st class. She eats well and more often than not is very settled. The home is always spotlessly clean.
My mother came into this care home January '25. The care she recieves is brilliant. My mum is struggling with anxiety she does not like the fact that other residents are getting into her room. She has been told to lock her room door but she forgets sometimes due to dementia. She does not feel safe she has told us and its is one reason why she does not want to leave her room as she feels her possesions will be stolen. As a family we dont like people going into her room either. Staff just say lock the door.
My review of the care home is that it is an excellent home for my husband. It is a caring and clean home.
It was my wife's birthday on 19 March she had a lovely day. We went to the community room and played music with many residents and friends. My daughter and sister came we had drinks and cake it was lovely. The day after her sister came and we sat in the garden with the weather being nice. Other residents came out we had a really good time. Thanks to all the staff she had a wonderful birthday.
Very impressed with the care home. Rooms are kept very clean and my friend is very well looked after. All the staff I have met are lovely and are very helpful. Always have a smile on their faces under very difficult conditions as my friend like a lot of the residents are not very well.
I am generally quite happy with the care my mother has recieved. Staff have been quick to pick up on issues that need addressing and to deal with any of my concerns. The place is always clean and tidy and bright and airy. Staff & management are friendly & helpfull. Coming into care is a big adjustment for my mother to make and staff are aware of that and respond accordingly.
First christmas at Bright Meadows, I was very anxious at this thought. We saw family in the morning, and the rest of the day was great, great christmas dinner with other residents and their families, music, singing and dancing. The staff made a masive difference to our christmas day. Thank you winter unit and to all carers who worked hard christmas day to make it enjoyable, for everyone.
The overall experience has always been excellent, from walking through the front door at reception to when I come back out again. All the staff, reception, cleaners, carers, are really good, very helpful and are willing to do anything for residents and visitors. I have never seen anything other than caring staff and the place is always spotless. The staff should be very proud as this type of job is not easy and my mind is at rest knowing my friend is receiving such good care.
My husband was admitted to Bright Meadows Care Home in the middle of August 2024. I was very surprised when entering the building to my husband's bedroom, no nasty smells, everywhere is clean and bright. The whole care team greeted me with a warm, friendly smile and polite conversation. My worries and concerns have all gone. He is receiving excellent care and wants to stay forever.
Excellent home, my dad is happy, secure and so well looked after. Peace of mind for the family at last. The home management make a real effort to get to know him and really treat him with dignity and best of all, humour. All staff are excellent, from the reception to care team. Would recommend the home, excellent care. Thank you.
I have been visiting my mum for one week. She is happy here which is down to the environment and the staff. Everything appears very clean and tidy. The lounge and Mum's room are bright and airy, and the en-suite is a real bonus. Overall my first impressions are very good. Never been during meal times so I can't comment on the food, but Mum said it's very good.
Not the best, each time I visit it's not clean, not enough carers. Most carers are lovely and caring, some aren't. The sensory room is a great idea. The residents need more attention i.e so many carers to so many residents. I feel most of the time the carers are all together in one place, instead of being spread. This would help with things like accidents.
My wife seems settled. She has a nice room, staff very helpful, home looks nice and clean, staff also very polite. Outside areas are clean and tidy.
Bright Meadows Care Home provides care for my nana. The staff are nice and occasionally will stop and have a chat about my nan's care and how she has been doing.
In general, the care is adequate but lacking people-centered care. Reception staff are always welcoming and engaging. On the whole, carers seem to lack insight into the little things, such as maintaining dignity by ensuring face is clean etc. Management are not visible enough and communication could definitely improve.
Overall, a very positive place with staff who are kind and compassionate (re. permanent staff). There are lots of activities, birthdays are celebrated, lovely vies of the very well-kept gardens. It has taken a while but my mother is calm here and I am so happy with Bright Meadows Care Home.
My dad is very well looked after and settled.
Good, friendly atmosphere.
I am very pleased with all the help and encouragement my husband receives. Can't fault anybody. Not keen on paying £4,999 per month though but think we will get help eventually.
Excellent.
