View Full Details of Belong Morris FeinmannI wouldn't put my dog in there, the food was disgusting, my dads basic needs were not met. He wasn't clean, the room smelt of urine, he had no socks. Many times he had no hearing aids. They don't employ enough staff per resident. My dad lasted four months in there. What a sad ending to his life. He looked like a tramp.
My wife was a resident for 2 1/2 years until she passed away. Throughout her stay the care was excellent as were the facilities and activities, especially the musical events which not only did she thoroughly enjoy but was able to sing to some of the music and use words that otherwise she could not articulate. If the Bistro was open in the evening more families would probably eat there with their family.
From the moment that mum started to attend the experience days 2 years ago, through her moving into a household a few months later and finally passing away recently, everyone at BMF have been amazing. From the beginning, the staff were friendly, approachable and able to answer all our questions. It really felt as if our family had joined the BMF family. They facilitated mum's transition and helped her settle in. Throughout her stay, mum was really well cared for and supported to be herself. She gained confidence, made friends and engaged in new activities. Unfortunately she did have a couple of falls but each time she was supported to recover at her own pace and although her care was adapted as her needs increased, it was really important that she continued to be cared for by staff that she knew and trusted. I would not hesitate to recommend BMF' to anyone looking for a holistic, caring and compassionate place to live.
I continue to have confidence that a high standard of care is being provided for my wife and that the environment inside and outside is being maintained to a high standard. A few key members of staff have moved on recently which is what happens over time but did impact on my confidence, although my relationship with other staff is developing. I've engaged with the GP to reduce medication for my wife to offset undesirable side effects and this was achieved although I was surprised that the initiative had to come from me.
The care by Belong MF for my sister is first class and I cannot fault it.She is so well looked after in her household and enjoys the very full range of activities provided ib both the morning and afternoon. It is great for myself and my family to be able to meet with her for lunch in the Bistro.
My mum has been at Belong Morris Feinmann for over 3 years now, and going to Belong is the best decision we have ever made. Mum has dementia, but she is happy and content. It is extremely well -run and management are always available and always helpful. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents stimulated. And the staff - certainly in my mum's case - I could not have asked for anything more; supportive, caring, friendly - they truly are fantastic.
Incredibly caring and attentive staff that always put the needs of my dad first. They spend time building and maintaining a relationship with dad, understanding who he was before dementia. Great facilities and family atmosphere.
Very friendly helpful and experienced staff facilities and services excellent with bright spotlessly clean room and ensuite wet room very good activities programme staff very responsive to residents requirements medical care very organised To summarise I do not think I could find a better nursing home in the area for my wife as I am happy that my wife is safe and well cared for in warm community
Mum spent 6 yrs in an Independent Apartment at Belong until a Stroke in 2023 when she moved into the Care home. She has spent the last 18 mths in 24/7 care until her passing recently. The Building is modern and well equipped, it has every possible facility, and a vast array of activities to keep residents engaged and entertained. The care my Mum received especially in the later stages of her life was 2nd to none, the staff are totally dedicated to the welfare and support of residents, building strong relationships, and becoming not just carers, but their best friends and confidants. They continually go above and beyond, even coming in on their days off when Mum was approaching the end of life to comfort her and us. I could not have asked for more for my Mum, she was in the best possible place for her needs, and such a loving and caring environment. The Management are always available and responsive, and know each resident needs inside out. Nowhere better in my opinion.
The home is bright, clean and airy with excellent facilities. The staff are friendly, caring and professional to both residents and visitors. My father-in-law is very comfortable and happy here and we feel confident about the care he receives.
My dad spent the last eighteen months of his life at Belong Morris Feinmann, after moving in there when his dementia became too difficult to manage at home. The care and love he received was wonderful. Staff who genuinely care about the people they care for in a safe and really well-managed environment. We couldn't have been happier with the care Dad received. So much so that my mum is a resident there as well now.
My mum was not very well and I can not praise the staff enough for their care and the compassion they showed Mum. Even when the doctor wanted Mum admitted to hospital, I preferred her to be cared for in familiar surroundings with lovely people that really knew her. I would not want her to be anywhere else. Thank you Belong Morris Feinmann.
My dear mum lived happily here for the last six years. She was cared for with dignity, respect and genuine affection throughout this time and particularly during the awful COVID period when the wonderful team became her substitute family, giving us regular updates and peace of mind that she was content. The home is clean and well-maintained. Purpose-built and comfortable. The activities team are kind and enthusiastic, putting a lot of thought into making the residents' time happy and fun. The management is extremely approachable and diligent. Any concerns are dealt with promptly and professionally, no matter how small. They really care. During the last few weeks of her life, when Mum was on end-of-life care, the home was superb. Nurses are on hand at all times and ensured Mum was comfortable and pain-free. All staff showed their love and support for Mum at this difficult time and were there for me and my family too. I am so grateful to them all.
The care and support for my mother and our family have been fantastic throughout her time at Belong over the last three years. During her last few weeks, when her health deteriorated, the staff went above and beyond our expectations in the level of love and care shown to all of us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are very grateful for all the support we received.
The management and staff are amazing. Very receptive and proactive. I know my mother is very well looked after here at Belong Morris Feinmann.
My mum spent 5 years as a resident at Belong Morris Feinmann Home, moving in with decreasing mobility as a result of a spinal condition, eventually confining her to a wheelchair. Over the years she received the best quality care from warm, caring and skilled staff who provide a real home-from-home atmosphere. Her condition declined resulting in paralysis from the neck down so she became completely dependent on her physical care although mentally she remains fully alert. She then began to recover some mobility, aided in no small part by the exercise regime offered by the in-house physical instruction by Belong. Throughout her time at Morris Feinmann her situation was treated with the utmost care and sensitivity, adapting to her changes in physical ability. Mum has now relocated with her family to a care home in London and we cannot thank the manager and the team in Didsbury enough for the way they looked after Mum during her stay at Belong Morris Feinmann.
What can we say; words can’t really express our gratitude for the care given to Dad by the staff of Olive Household. They all went above and beyond to ensure he was safe and well cared for. We miss him every day but take great comfort in the fact he was happy and comfortable at the end. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A difficult decision to move mum from her own home at the age of 92, but it turned out to be the best decision without any doubt. Nice bright room and living areas with balcony and rooftop and outside gardens. The friendly and caring staff made the transition easy.
This is an outstanding, caring environment. Safe and organised but care is also given with kindness and patience. They are served by an outstanding and charming local GP team who attend every week for a day to review medical issues, adding to the feeling of safety.
The home has good care amenities and genuine carers who clearly care about doing a good job. The village set-up creates a strong community feel. My father has made some connections and friendships with other residents. He enjoys the opportunity to connect over lunch in the main communal area. He has particularly enjoyed the classical music performances, concerts and Jewish festival get-togethers which occur on a regular basis. My father likes his own company too and the carers are sensitive to this It is particularly good to know that on occasion when my dad has made a request to visit a restaurant outside the care home the carer will accommodate his request. The home director and immediate team were particularly helpful to all the family when welcoming my father into the home.
