View Full Details of Mother Redcaps Care HomeI had a family member in Mother Redcaps Care Home for 21 months, and I cannot praise all the staff, including the admin and the manager, enough for their care and support during his time there.
I was really happy with the cared and attention my father in law received. It was so nice to see staff who really cared, after experiencing a previous care home where staff did not, this home changed my view on them.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the lovely staff who are so kind and caring with my dear Mum. My Mum is 94 and is very happy and always says how lovely the staff are so very well done the staff team at Mother Redcaps
Staff are always welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist. The meals are healthy and appetizing and served appropriately. We are always offered a hot drink and made to feel welcome. Staff have quickly got to know my family member and made them feel at home. Sometimes activities are cancelled due to staffing issues. However the families opinion is we made an excellent choice.
After developing Alzheimers over a six year period, it became clear that I could no longer look after him properly, and I looked around for a few local care home here in Wallasey. I settled on Mother Redcaps for two principle reasons- it has a wonderful position with magnificent views across the river and the warm welcome I received from the administrator on the front desk and without exception, the rest of the staff. It was a huge change to make, but after the initial few weeks, things are settling down into routine. One big plus point is that there is unlimited visiting from 8am until 7pm, which is very important to me.
My mother was looking for a perfect spot in which to spend her final days - on the promenade near New Brighton, overlooking the Mersey at Liverpool. She also wanted good, traditional food and caring staff. She had all this with a light touch at Mother Redcaps.
I appreciate the care my mum receives on a daily basis. All the staff are wonderful, helpful and I know my mum is in good hands at all times. One of the staff members knows my mums behaviour an is able to pick up if she's not ok a relay this to staff. The staff who clean an do laundry are equally as nice an always take time to chat. The laundry situation remains to be unresolved which is unfortunate.
The staff are absolutely brilliant, they treat my mum and myself like friends and call us by our first names and my mum talks about the staff in glowing terms. My mum could not be in any better place. The staff are 110% in what they do, they are really genuine people.
Amazing with mums care needs. She has dementia and can be very stubborn. They are so patient with her and humour her. They never make her feel a burden . They are always ready to give me update on how she is doing , nothing too much travel .Staff amazing x manger always smiling
Moved mum into redcaps after many years of trying to keep her safe as Dementia was tightening its grip on her unfortuniltey. Since her move approx 12 months now we wished we have done it sooner for her. She mixes well with other residents but mostly enjoys her time with the staff She's nearing 94 yrs old in July and feel that she will go well beyond that whilst at Redcaps Care home Much love to all of you there
Mother Redcaps has been a life saver for my friend. She is a lady of very few words but she does say to me "it's lovely here isn't it and I don't have to pay for anything isn't that amazing" how comfortable for her is that. The staff are lovely and the new staff introduce themselves to me and offer me a drink and keep me updated about her health. She has just been transferred to Sandy Bay.I was shown her bedroom before she was transferred and all looked good but I haven't been into visit her yet so hopefully she has settled in nicely,I have spoken to the staff on the phone and they have assured me she is comfortable. She now needs more help and I am confident she will get that. Thank you to all the staff for all their help.
Excellent care. Always prepared to adapt to my brother-in-laws needs i.e. music and mobility equipment provision.
My brother has been at Mother Redcaps for nearly 6 months. He has settled really well and interacts well with staff other residents. His general health + personal hygiene are being well managed.
This home has helped my mum and supported myself so much since bringing my mum here. The staff are so friendly and I'm always welcomed with a smile and they always keep me updated with anything that goes on. My mum receives fantastic care with meal plans, personal care and activities, but most importantly she is treated with dignity. Finding out my mum has dementia was very difficult for myself, but the people here have helped support me with advice amd even just talk to me about how my day was. I fully recommend this home to anyone who has a family member or friend who needs care.
Excellent service.
I can't thank you enough for the care I have had while I was staying at the care home and I thank you all for the care. Thanks again to all the very pleasant staff.
The staff are lovely and attentive to my mother-in-law. Her room is always clean and tidy.
Dad has settled in well and feels happy and secure.
My husband has been here for five months. Staff are very nice. Bedroom fine. Very picky with his food, most days he eats it.
I love the home very much. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. If I need anything they are able to get it for me. It's like home.
