My partner has been at Aaron Court since November 2023 and I am more than happy with the level of care he receives. All the staff are wonderful, very friendly and have made me feel welcome from the beginning. The staff take time to talk with residents and families and do a very difficult job very
well.
They have a lovely garden area and the food is always to a high standard.

My brother went into Aaron Court 17 months ago. I visit with my sister in law on a regular basis. The difference in my brother is amazing. He is happy, eating well and so well looked after. He is enjoying the care and attention from the staff who are so kind and lovely. I have watched staff with
residents, and the care and patience shown is exceptional. Having nursed my own mother with Alzheimer's, I know how hard their job is and your staff show so much love and are even at difficult times. My brother is enjoying all the activities in the lounge and it's lovely to see him laughing again. I have to say, from entering the building to the residents' lounge, the place is so clean and smells fresh, which is just so lovely.

Whilst CQC have given an inadequate report as the daughter of a resident i must disagree with their assessment. I can only comment on my experience. I cannot comment on the paperwork side of the report. I find the staff vet kind and caring to my mothers needs, my mum is always clean and dressed.
Her nails are always clean, her hair is always washed and dried. If I ask a question of the staff I am always given a response. The activities staff are fantastic, they adapt activities to residents ability. All staff treat my mum with kindness and dignity. I am kept will informed of mums health, if anything occurs I am contacted straight away. Mums room is always clean and fresh as is her laundry. Overall the home itself is always clean and tidy. Visitors are treated with kindness and respect.

I try to visit my dad most days, even if it's only half an hour. Each time, I am made to feel so welcome by all the staff, office doors are always open to encourage openness and feedback. The staff do an amazing job, which is not easy when caring for dementia patients. I'm so grateful for the
wonderful care dad's getting at a difficult time in our lives and can't thank them enough.

Huge improvement this summer since the change in management and the introduction of the activities for ladies.
Residents look happy and enjoy themselves instead of sitting and staring at the wall as they did previously.

My mum went into Aaron Court in July after a hospital stay. We were told it was rehabilitation to get her home, but by early September she was back in hospital severely malnourished, dehydrated, and with stage 2 pressure sores. We were told she was dying. She'd lost so much weight she was fiddling
with her wedding ring - worn every day for 56 years - and a staff member threw it in the bin. No apology. She was often left in bed all day, unwashed, in mismatched clothes that weren't hers, with matted hair and dirt under her nails. We raised concerns about pain she was in, but nothing was noted. The pressure sore was only picked up at hospital, who raised a safeguarding alert. The home smelled, felt unclean, and senior staff were dismissive. We were led to believe this was the right place - it wasn't. Our family will never forget what she went through at Aaron Court.

Not being cleaned, hair matted and filthy. When I have enquired apparently lots of agency staff this is still not acceptable. My mother's teeth went missing and all care staff could do when we asked was to shrug shoulders. My mother is not being treated with dignity. Yes I have complained and will
continue to.

The staff are very warm, friendly, approachable and professional. They are proactive with Mum's care.

Since my Mother's admission from hospital to Aaron Court in March to her being almost ready to go home, my Mother's care has been exemplary, even when my Mother was very challenging to deal with in the early days of her stay. As my Mother has improved, the staff have fully encouraged her to move
about and become involved with activities around the home.
From a family perspective, it has been reassuring to see and talk to Mother's carers at all levels including management, who have all been nice, caring people who, without exception, all made time to see me and discuss anything. This put my mind to rest in so many ways.
I have never seen my Mother eat so much before, as the food has been superb from what I have seen and my Mother told me. The portions were perfect - my Mother hates waste and so her portions were just right for her every time.
I cannot speak more highly and thank everyone.

The second in command is fantastic. Came with us to make sure the resident's next placement was the right choice, came in her own time. She wouldn't take any money for her brilliant help and asked all the right questions for our needs. All the other staff are really friendly.

Initially, I was hesitant if not reluctant to place my wife in a care home. It is a big decision after being together for 68 years. On meeting the manager who was extremely professional and reassuring, she explained what I would need to provide for my wife. The care staff were excellent in handling
my wife, making her feel calm and relaxed in her new environment. My wife settled in well and any small problems were easily dealt with. I feel that I have chosen the best care home in the locality. All the staff look after my wife to a very high standard.
