View Full Details of Cavendish Court Care HomeCavendish Court is a very high standard care home in terms of both facilities and staff. A home from home as close as it could be. From our first introduction we could see this immediately. My wife was extremely well cared for to the end. Our expectations for her welfare and care were constantly exceeded. Those who were specifically responsible for providing her personal care and comfort were outstandingly professional and full of empathy. In fact not just to my terminally ill wife but to all of us whenever we made a visit. Gentle, compassionate, sensitive and most competent. Aspects that are high on the list for commendation are: accessibility, communication, cleanliness and the food. I don't think there was any more that could have been done to make my wife any more comfortable to the end. All of you have been absolutely marvellous and totally dedicated. Thank you so very much Cavendish Court. Eleven out of 10.
Thank you to all of the staff at the home for looking after my wife so well. In particular, special mention should be made of two particular carers whose caring, gentleness and compassion is commendable. Thank you a particular staff member for all of your advice and assistance, it is very much appreciated.
Summer solstice party 20 June. I attended an event that the staff had work extremely hard to put on. The courtyard was cleaned up and looked lovely as the residents made their way outside for afternoon tea and cake. It was the first time Mum had been outside for over a year. I'm sure she felt good to have the sun on her face (limited there was shade) and fresh air. Thank you!!! Staff worked hard at this - with deviance - I think!
My 94-year-old mother is in the best care here at Cavendish Court it has given me and my family such peace of mind. Very caring professional lovely staff in Clean homely surroundings I couldn't be more grateful thank you Cavendish Court
Family has always been a cornerstone for my mother in law and for us, here we've been able to preserve that bond we now gather at her new home-Cavendish Court here we have found the staff to be dedicated and compassionate treating the patients with respect and seeing them as individuals, allowing them to express their personalities and maintain their dignity during such a challenging phase of their lives.
I've been nothing but impressed with the level of care my grandma has received since being in Cavendish Court. The staff are attentive, patient, and genuinely kind & it's clear they treat residents like family. Every time I visit, she's smiling, well looked after. It's such a relief knowing she's in a place like Cavendish.
Cavendish Court is just such a great care home ,the staff are all so professional in their work but very caring and kind . Nothing is to much trouble for them! IT'S just got such a good feel factor to it when you walk through the door. Its a extremely happy care home and my Mum has started to settle in well!
Since new management a lighter brighter atmosphere. Staff helpful and caring.
Lovely staff, very caring and really proactive at keeping us up to date. Also amazing when my mum passed away.
A good experience at Cavendish Court in October 2024. Management and nursing staff worked well with care and kindness and all were polite and helpful.
The staff are always so caring and thoughtful towards my mother-in-law. She is very settled and content.
I feel happy and safe here and can't speak highly enough of the staff who look after me. We share a laugh and a joke. The staff make a difference to my day, I think they have been instrumental in helping me to adjust to life changing disabilities. I am treated with respect and consideration at all times and with respect and consideration at all times and with compassion. When I have had difficult times adjusting the staff have been very supportive.
My initial impression was that it would be a good place for my wife to recuperate after a hip replacement. My wife is unable to communicate and is immobile and I immediately discovered problems with the care they provided with regard to toilet needs, moving her, and preparation for bed. The management took these problems on board and now things are considerably better. The care assistants and nurses who have regular contact with my wife are very good and as expected some are better than others. Some shifts all seem very calm yet on others they appear to be rushing around in circles. As I attend mealtimes the various times lunch or tea is served doesn't help with organisation. Lunch has been served anytime between 12 and 1 and tea at 4:15 and 5. I think this problem may have been resolved as the last few days have been much better. Once my initial concerns were resolved the care provided was better and although my wife's mobility has not improved which is a lack of support from the NHS her continence needs could be better supported. All the staff from the cleaners, laundry, care assistants, nurses, secretary, and manager are all very friendly and approachable.
This care home accepted my Mother in the midst of COVID. But made her transition into a new home very easy. The staff are amazing and always do all they can to protect your loved one. The home is clean, warm and welcoming. Staff on all levels are always happy to stay for a chat. Mum recently passed and once again all the staff members were amazing. If truth be told no one wants to see loved ones in this environment, however, my Mum was well looked after which gave family members peace of mind.
My husband stayed for a week recently for some respite care as he suffers from Alzheimer’s. The care he got was fantastic the staff were nice and helpful and went the extra mile. Would recommend and would definitely let him go again.
Mum is well looked after. Very caring and capable staff who can provide the necessary personal care for residents at different stages of dementia.
My mother has been a happy resident for one full year. Management and staff are excellent, helpful and kind. To see my loved one happy makes me happy, I'm thrilled to see how well she has settled and is contented.
Lovely place to stay. Mum was very happy and was looked after very well. Great place, polite and friendly.
After a long period in hospital, my mum has settled in Cavendish Court very well. The staff have been instrumental in making the transfer from home via hospital to the home as seamless as possible. Mum has been treated with kindness and understanding, for which I am grateful. Activities are beginning to open up after Covid - a lot of work had been put into the Jubilee afternoon team party.
Very friendly staff, always welcoming with a smile, easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble.
