I cannot recommend Bridgeway Care Home highly enough.
When my sister was admitted to hospital on Wednesday 21st January, her funding technically ended the moment she entered the ambulance. Despite this, the manager ensured a carer accompanied her to hospital to provide a thorough handover and a
familiar face. Bridgeway then went above and beyond again by keeping a carer with her the following day, purely out of compassion.
On arrival at hospital we were told she would not be fed due to her PEG. When the manager became aware of this, they personally drove to the hospital out of hours to advocate for her. Within an hour, a ward bed was found and she was fed. Throughout her hospital stay, Bridgeway remained actively involved, regularly contacting and visiting the hospital to ensure the correct level of care was being provided.
Having a family member in care is usually stressful, but Bridgeway gives me complete peace of mind. It is not just a care home - it is a family.

It is a seriously sad fact to know that Bridgeway Care Home - without doubt the best Care Home in the North West of England cannot be recognised for the outstanding Care they provide for every resident. The staff from the owner down do an amazing job each and every day yet they are penalised by a 42
month old inspection report by the CQC. The registered manager David took over 40 months ago and leads the most dedicated caring team I have witnessed in the 30+ years my brother has been in care. Despite this and also because of this they are penalised by a rating of "needs improvement " from June 2022.
My brother was at his lowest ebb when he moved to Bridgeway in Sept 2022 and ax a family we genuinely thought we were losing him. Thanks to the dedication, hard work and compassion shown by everyone he is now 38 months later living the best life he can.
Every member of staff needs to be recognised for all they do , yet can't because CQC will not reinspect as they have no concerns.

Bridgeway Care Home in Preston is truly outstanding. The carers are compassionate, genuinely love their work, and take a real interest in each resident, extending their warmth to families too. The manager is exceptional-caring, fair, and highly respected, creating a positive and supportive
environment.
Every visit feels like a warm welcome from friends, and the events they host are second to none, bringing families and residents together in meaningful ways. Our sister has never had such a rich social life or been so active in the community-she's thriving, and we love receiving updates and photos of her enjoying life.
During challenging times, the support we've received from the team has been incredible. They've helped us ensure our sister receives the best care and has a bright future.
The nursing staff are professional and responsive, always addressing any concerns promptly. We feel so lucky to have found Bridgeway-it's more than a care home, it's a family.

My mum moved into bridgeway in 2023, considering this was the last thing we ever wanted to do was put mum in a home it has turned out to be the best place for her, mum receives a high level of care, she is washed dressed and hoisted out of bed every day, showered or bathed twice a week whichever she
would prefer, my mum couldn't speak when she first arrived at bridgeway, she couldn't eat or drink, now she is able to talk, she can also have liquids and yoghurts throughout the day, mums improved a lot since coming here and that's down to all the amazing staff that go above and beyond for their residents, mum enjoys karaoke Fridays, there is always so much going on for residents and their families, it's a friendly lively home that just has that feel to it, there isn't a single thing I can fault about it, there is something special about bridgeway care home and if I could recommend anywhere in the world for your families to be taken care of it would be here!!

Our foster son is a resident and has been in Bridgeway for six years he has a wonderful life staff are very understanding and helpful nothing is to much trouble our foster son has challenging behaviour but there work and dedication has calmed him down and he is really happy this home has been a
godsend and we can not praise them enough and senior staff are wonderful as well always available when you need them

Bridgeway care home is the most remarkable place, everyone feels like family here. So much thought and effort goes in to everything they do , the staff are amazing, everyone there is again infact. Doesn't matter when you go you are always made to feel welcome.
The residents always look so happy.

Every time we visit we're met with smiles and welcomes from everyone.This is THE best place our daughter has ever lived in for the care and variety of interests and most importantly the cleanliness and dedication of the staff. The whole place is spotless and there's always some member of staff
cleaning when we arrive unannounced. Our daughter is well looked after which gives us complete piece of mind.

Our daughter has been at Bridgeway for 3 years and has received care and attention to the highest standard..despite some difficult times with our daughter's behaviour, the staff have addressed her issues calmly, with patience and kindness which approach has helped her through her difficulties.
Staff are cheerful, smiley and have good relationships with our daughter..there is a lot of banter and positive approach.
There are activities going on all week with special events throughout the months..these keep our daughter engaged and sociable..I cannot speak too highly of the management who run Bridgeway in an inclusive manner to the benefit of all the residents whatever their abilities.
Our daughter is settled and happy at Bridgeway.

Bridgeway Care Home meets the needs of our Relative in every way possible. The Care provided is excellent and we find every member of staff exceptional in their roles. We find all residents daily receive activities which are enjoyed by all ie- Music, Drawing, Painting, Group therapy, Trips out in
community to places of their choice.

My nephew was struggling with coming out of his room and joining in at the care home. We could see that his mental health was declining.
After a meeting with staff and owner, a plan of action was put in place. Within days he had completely changed his mind.
The staff had encouraged him to make
choices about his daily living, they supported him in making friends and joining in with activities. He has his own designated space in the community room where he can play music and have visitors and where other residents can sit with him. He is a changed person, now enjoying all the regular activities, making friends and going out in the minibus on planned trips is his favourite thing to do.
Overall the home is lively, welcoming and well organised. Residents needs appear to be met, staff are friendly and work well together to ensure residents are well looked after and safe. Families are encouraged to come in and join in with activities and meet each other.
A home to be recommended.

Bridgeway is the best care home I have ever seen. From the owners to management and staff everyone is totally dedicated to the care and wellbeing of the residents and each other. This is the only care home where we are able to go on holiday and not worry about my brother.
Residents are encouraged
to live the best life they can within their capabilities. From entering Bridgeway you feel the happiness and caring immediately. Everyone is smiling and happy to answer questions. My brother had come from a home where he was neglected both physically and financially. The care team under the managers management have helped to build my brothers confidence and trust little by little which has given my brother a new lease of life. We truly believe they have saved his life.
If it were up to me the would be given the highest accolade possible.

My mum moved into Holywell Bridgeway last year. She has been here 6 months now and I honestly cannot fault this home in any type of way. Each and every one of the staff here are truly amazing. They are kind, caring and very passionate about what they do. Holywell Bridgeway brings so much to the care
home not only for their residents but for families too. They love to get residents' families involved in many different events and activities which I think is brilliant, it's nice to be involved in things which make it feel like our home too. I couldn't have found a better care home for my mum to live.

When visiting my friend at Bridgeway Care Home I am always made to feel welcome by the management and staff. The home is always spotlessly clean and the residents are well turned out. They have regular entertainment where residents are encouraged to participate. It is a joy to visit and I am

There is a warm and friendly atmosphere when I visit a friend of mine who resides there. The management and staff are always helpful and nothing is too much trouble for visitors and residents. My friend loves living there and has really come out of her shell. She loves chatting with staff and
participating in all the events that take place there. I have attended several events and management has always encouraged visitors i.e. family and friends to get involved.

I have found the home to be amazing, they do such fantastic work, the carers are so kind and caring and work hard to make everyone's life a joy. I can recommend this care home to anyone and feel happy to do that with confidence.
