My brother in law moved to Bridgeway in September 2022 after spending 3 years in a home in Torquay where he was abused physically, mentally and financially. The staff at Bridgeway have been fantastic in building up my B-i-l's confidence and trust with their care and patience. My husband and I cannot believe how much he is enjoying the best life he can. He is now laughing and is part of the whole Bridgeway family which enables us to be able to take holidays etcetera with total peace of mind.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and inviting, there were many football themed decorations and trimmings all over the communal area, the staff had obviously gone to a lotbof effort to include all residents in the world cup football that is on at the moment. Our son looked very happy, eating well, staff were communicating very well with him, which can be difficult as he uses his own version of sign language, however his needs were being met to a high standard, and his weight has gone from borderline underweight to a healthy BMI bracket, all thanks to the healthy menu made available to our son. My mum moved into bridgeway in 2023, considering this was the last thing we ever wanted to do was put mum in a home it has turned out to be the best place for her, mum receives a high level of care, she is washed dressed and hoisted out of bed every day, showered or bathed twice a week whichever she would prefer, my mum couldn't speak when she first arrived at bridgeway, she couldn't eat or drink, now she is able to talk, she can also have liquids and yoghurts throughout the day, mums improved a lot since coming here and that's down to all the amazing staff that go above and beyond for their residents, mum enjoys karaoke Fridays, there is always so much going on for residents and their families, it's a friendly lively home that just has that feel to it, there isn't a single thing I can fault about it, there is something special about bridgeway care home and if I could recommend anywhere in the world for your families to be taken care of it would be here!!
