View Full Details of Guy's Court Residential Care HomeGuy's Court helped my mum much more than the hospital rehab ward. Her mobility and cognitive function improved so much that she could eventually come home. I am still shocked by how much difference the care and attention she received has made
Mum has been at Guys Court for around 4 years now and we've always been really happy with the level of care provided. Recently mum came back to the home after a spell in hospital and the care home staff have looked after her very well indeed-nursing her back to better health after her hospital stay and have kept me informed of the situation and how mum is doing. The staff seem to really get to know and genuinely care about the residents and positive relationships are formed. The staff also get to know the immediate family too-kindly offering us cups of tea! I like that the home offers various activities for the residents and organises various special events throughout the year. They even arranged a special celebration for my mum and dads 50th Wedding Anniversary! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Guys Court to anyone.

My mother-in-law is presently a resident at Guy's Court, although she is just in respite at this time after a short stay in hospital, she is cared for with all the professionalism as every other resident. We are aware that eventually it will become a more permanent move, and this has given us peace of mind that when the time comes she will get all the care that is needed day to day. With all the activities daily, and us being able to visit whenever we like, it will make the decision for the family an easier one.
Nan has moved into Guy's on respite looking at long term and she has settled in so much been made to feel welcome by staff and residents as a family we were so nervous but have no regrets now and are hoping she continues to enjoy her time there.
My mum has been in Guy's Court since October 2023. She started in respite and then short-term placement as a permanent resident. We as a family could not be happier with the care, the home and all the staff. Our mum is thriving and is very happy in her new home. We are over the moon to be able to write such a fantastic review after making the hardest decision of our lives by taking the step of full-time care for Mum. We highly recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for the best care for their relatives.
My aunt has recently been in Guy's Court. I felt extremely comforted by the fact that she was under such good care. My fears were allayed as the manager explained everything and answered all queries. Thank you for providing our family with assuring in a vicarious time.
My brother is a resident at Guy’s Court. It is a pleasure visiting him. We are always made welcome and have got to know the staff well. We are kept updated about how he is doing and the staff are quick to identify any concerns about his health. The activities are always planned and families are invited which is lovely to see. He has gained weight during his stay and as a family, we are really happy with his progression. We enjoy visiting him and know he is safe and well cared for.
Wonderful care home. All the staff are so friendly and attentive and are looking after my mother-in-law so well. She has improved so much since going into there in April. She is happy in herself, is eating a lot better and is just generally content. Thank you to them all, would recommend to anyone who is looking for their loved one to be cared for.
I would like to give thanks to all of the staff at Guy’s. My Nan was a resident there for 2 years and sadly passed away earlier this year. The care and compassion shown was second to none. They have treated us all like family and it is clear to see that each and every staff member of staff cares dearly for our loved ones.
From my mother’s initial entry to Guy’s Court, to present day, her care has been exemplary. Each resident is treated as an individual. The home is professionally run, with an accessible management team. The home is clean and welcoming, residents are listened to and encouraged to express their wishes, from what they want to eat to suggestions for activities. The activities programme is inclusive and varied. The staff are friendly, always welcoming to visitors, compassionate and caring when dealing with residents. The main thing is that I am reassured that my mother is very well looked after; her health is monitored, she is treated with dignity, she has quality of life and is in safe hands. I am so grateful to all of the staff for caring for my mother.
My brother has been a resident at Guy's Court for nearly a year. The home is first class. Supportive, friendly and helpful staff across the board from domestics to care managers. The food is very good with a good choice of options. They provide activities every day whether that be bingo, music or films. Trips away from the home are organised and the residents are actively involved in decision-making. The manager responds to queries even when she is away from work which is a real credit to her. My brother is only 55 and is a resident here following a stroke. He is treated as an individual by all the staff and nothing is too much trouble. I really couldn't ask for a better home for my brother and I would recommend Guy's Court wholeheartedly.
Following the unexpected and unwanted news that my grandmother's care home was closing, I faced the unenviable task of finding an alternative in short order. The search was as depressing as I remember the first time around, with very many homes out there being satisfactory - but not much more. From my initial contact with Guys Court, the staff were engaging, competent and respectful. On my unannounced first visit, I found a well-organised, calm, but efficient operation filled with happy staff and smiling residents. The accommodation was of a high standard with a lovely dining room and communal room and recently refurbished bedrooms. The manager couldn’t have been more helpful with the process and is clearly an experienced and respected leader. My grandmother has been made to feel welcome, loved and appreciated in her first few weeks. I receive regular updates on her progress, and she is the happiest I can remember seeing her. I do not think I could have found a better home for her.
My mum has just been admitted, she absolutely loves it. The staff are 5 stars. They have so much time and love for the residents, it's amazing. Couldn't wish for a better care home. The management are second to none.
My aunt came for respite care recently. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The manager was knowledgeable and really alleviated any concerns we had. My aunt will be returning next month. I cannot champion this home enough and would highly recommend. Thank you, guys!
My mother spent 18 months living in Guy's Court until she sadly passed away last year. The care she had was exemplary throughout and very dignified at the end of her life. Currently, my father is in Guys Court having a period of respite care. He has been in there for about 8 weeks. The care my father is getting is again exemplary. I want to credit the manager and her team of such dedicated staff. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care for their residents which at times must be very difficult in such challenging circumstances. It’s truly humbling to see the staff's genuine passion for care. They are all a credit to Sanctuary Care.
My father was recently admitted to Guys Court after looking at a number of homes locally. His care is second to none and I am very pleased with his progress. Staff are kind and approachable. The food is varied and plentiful. He has improved massively since moving in and the interaction he is getting is definitely enhancing his quality of life.
My mother has been at Guy's since December 2020. She loves it there and says that all the carers are wonderful. She says the meals are really really good. She likes her room. From what I have seen the staff are wonderful. They aren’t doing just a job but are very caring to each resident. They talk so nicely to my Mum and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are plenty of activities going on for the residents and they celebrate any occasion that is relevant. I haven’t been able to go inside the home yet due to Covid restrictions but have been able to see Mum in the conservatory after having covid tests beforehand. All the staff I have seen have been really helpful, friendly and kind. I am looking forward to Covid rules being lifted then I can see more of everything. Mum is looking forward to the hairdresser restarting but meanwhile, the carers have been wonderful at helping mum look her best. Thank you all.
Mum has dementia and has been a resident since December 2020. I’ve found the staff to be extremely caring and understanding. They always go the extra mile to do whatever they can to help mum. Mum always says how nice her bedroom is, how good the food is and how nice the staff are. There are plenty of activities taking place. Highly recommended.
My mother moved to Guys Care Home just before Christmas. She says the staff look after her well, and the home is lovely. The home is kept to a high standard. The staff are all very caring and friendly. They listen to my mother and encourage her to join in with activities. They help her to get dressed in the morning, with lots of encouragement choosing her clothes for that day. They do the same at bedtime. The food is good. There are also snacks and drinks on offer throughout the day. The staff are always pleasant and keep us updated with how my mother is.
