View Full Details of Priory CourtThe care my mum received in her time at the Priory was excellent. All the team were truly caring not only to Mum but to the family as well. My mum died peacefully in the home surrounded by her loved ones. I cannot thank them enough for what they do. The only negative I would have is the rather pushy invoicing. I had an invoice dated 29.09. 25 pay within 14 days. Paid invoice on 07.10.25 then received an immediate payment required in red stamp dated 07.10.25. Certainly not 14 days later and very insensitive. Not the care homes fault.
Priory Court admitted my oldest friend's wife, Gina, who I've known for 62 years. The support she received from 'everyone' was exemplary and faultless in every way, making her last days as comfortable and dignified as humanly possible.
Visiting friend who was there for end-of-life care. The attention from the staff and nurses was amazing. My friend was in a lot of pain and they helped her pass. It was the staff and family that kept her jolly, happy. How wonderful.
My mother-in-law was a resident in Priory Court for nearly 3 weeks and received end of life care. I found all the staff very caring and my mother-in-law died there in a very comforting and peaceful way at the age of 99. It was a very quiet and peaceful room that she was in and the staff checked on her frequently.
My mother, Margaret, was only resident in Priory Court for a couple of weeks but the care and support give to her by the management and staff was excellent. The staff treated my mother with dignity. My mother was comfortable and passed away peacefully just the way she wanted it.
A very homely, caring and welcoming home. So reassuring to have my mother here. She is comfortable and very well cared for. All my dealings with all staff in person and by phone have been professional, patient and supportive in every way. My family are also very pleased and confident about Mum's care here.
Outstanding care and support for my mother in law in a very difficult situation. My mother in law was always very cared for and as a family we have been supported by the staff. A big thank you to matron and her team who went above and beyond, and always focussed on her needs. We would recommend here for anyone who needs the support
Priory court took great care of my mum and did their best to involve her in activities. I found the home to be clean and tidy and the staff to be friendly and courteous at all times. Thankyou to the matron and staff for their efforts in a difficult situation.
My Grandma moved in to Priory Court in October 2024. During September, my Grandma became seriously ill and the family were preparing for her final weeks. She had stopped eating and drinking, could no longer walk, was on oxygen, started with dementia and was very frail. My Grandma was discharged from hospital to Priory Court with the expectation of end of life care to be needed within the next few weeks/months. Since living at Priory Court, she has made a remarkable change. She is alert, has her appetite back, is no longer on oxygen, participates with activities and her character is back! She enjoys interactions with the staff, and the staff behave professional and with respect, are approachable and accommodate her needs very well. The home has a friendly 'home-from-home' atmosphere and is spotless. We, as a family, are happy with the service that has been provided for my Grandma, but more importantly, she is too.
My mum was admitted to hospital in Sept 2024 after a fall at home Unfortunately her health deteriorated and she was placed on the end of life pathway. We was advised to visit a few Nursing Homes to allow her to be discharged. I made arrangements for myself and daughters to visit. We was so impressed with the laidback cosy feel of the home we decided there and then to take one of the rooms. On discharge my mum was still very poorly, she had stopped eating and was only drinking small amounts. She was very frail, and was suffering from dementia. We thought she would spend most of her time in her bedroom and was encouraged to bring mum's belongings to make it more homely for her. Fast forward to Feb 2025. My mum's health has improved beyond belief. She has definitely got her appetite back! She spends her days with other residents, trips out and enjoys the quizzes and entertainment. This change has been remarkable. The care she has received has been remarkable. She is happy, we are happy!!
Since moving into the home, I have noticed a huge difference in my mother's mental health and appearance. As a family, it has made a huge difference knowing our mum is happy and well looked after. My mum has said the staff are amazing and do everything they can to maintain her independence and respect her dignity. My mum has been able to make her room feel like a home. The matron and carers go above and beyond. It's nice to see my mother smiling again.
Dear Priory Court, With my father's passing, I just wanted to say a few words to you and your staff. Although my dad was only at Priory Court for eight months, he enjoyed his time there. I was really impressed with the level of care and, in particular, how friendly and gentle all the staff were. You all made Dad's stay there very comfortable and homely, I can't thank you all enough. The running of the care home is a credit to you all. Very professional and caring. You should all be proud of the work you are doing there, caring for our elderly family members at this often difficult time in their lives. Well done, I shall be forever grateful to you all.
Our relative was extremely well looked after. She was treated with care and dignity. Our special thanks to the matron and a big thank you to all the staff.
We (her children) are very happy with the care provided by Priory Court for our Mum. She was suffering with dementia, poor eyesight and needed nursing care. The home is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum's room was immaculately maintained and she was kept warm. She must have also liked the food because she ate and drank most of what was provided (we know this from the daily records). Another plus is that she often joined in with the regular entertainment - she loved a good sing-song. Mum was happy at Priory Court. She spent her last two years there and recently passed peacefully. We are very grateful to all the staff there for the care and kindness that they showed her in these last months and days.
I am very happy to write a review for Priory Court. Since my father arrived, we have been very satisfied with the care and attention he has received. A very warm and caring home, with wonderful staff on all levels. More than happy to recommend.
Arrived 12/4/2024. No previous personal or family experience of care home life. Previously living at home alone for six years following Wife's death. Managing very well with family and carer help - fully mobile, active - walks, gardening, painting. Then early April persisting medical problems and two falls at home (no injuries). Family concerns re welfare and need for 24-hour care. GP very helpful in making arrangement for residence at Priory Court. Early days regretted/resented loss of independence. Had to learn the house routines, but had to ask or find out by experience. Now well settled - warm, comfortable, feel cared for and cared about.
My mother has been at the home for nearly two months and I'm very happy in all aspects of the quality of the care given. All the staff are attentive and respectful and I feel that my mum is treated with dignity at all times. The staff are very approachable which helps me feel reassured and supported. Big thank you to all the staff.
My father was placed at Priory Court via NHS after a very bad fall. His needs were 24/7 hour care. Upon arriving at Priory Court he had splendid care and attention. Communication from the home was outstanding, whenever I rang there was always a kind and caring response. My overall experience was splendid. A big thank you to the matron and the team.
Our dear dad was in the care of Priory Court for just five weeks before he passed away peacefully. The staff treated Dad with the utmost dignity, respect and care, enabling us to spend quality time with Dad at the end of his life. Dad was clean, warm, comfortable and safe and my brother and I were so relieved to find this home from home for Dad. Priory Court, run by the matron and deputy matron, is a real gem. Small, welcoming, warm and above all spotless. All the staff were so welcoming, at what is a very strange and upsetting time when, as a family, you have to decide that you need help looking after your loved one. The residents have plenty of input and the 'home' truly is their home. Well done Matron and Team and thank you.
My grandma was discharged here from the hospital. It is a lovely clean home with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Grandma seems to like it there, she enjoys the meals and chatting with the workforce.
