Open day celebrations. Music, dancing, games, raffles, opening of the new shop, & so much more. A brilliant day so well organised. Well done!
Lovely, happy home. Very welcoming. Excellent care for my husband. As someone not needing care it was a very pleasant experience which we hope to repeat. Driver and all carers courteous and competent - I would definitely recommend it to others.
I am very happy here My 103 birthday was unforgetable
Nowhere could be any better. Staff excellent hospitality very good. We are very lucky to be here. Thank you all.
Absolutely fantastic, genuinely caring staff. They worked so hard to make sure my dad had a happy and fulfilling life. They gave my dad an excellent service and helped him settle in and enjoy life when living at home was no longer possible. Moving to a nursing home was very difficult for all concerned and Laurelbank really helped us through it.
I just listened to the radio and heard about the celebrations for a 103 year old lady, and honestly, I hope whenever this day is thought about or spoken about, it's with nothing but pride. Laurel Bank & everyone that helped need to be just so proud of the work they put in and how they make a place for residents to continue living their lives. I always say Laurel Bank is made of magic but I think this is a reminder to all, that magic is made at Laurel Bank. A place where despite the age, dreams still can come true. People would be lucky to have family or friends stay here. It really is so wonderful with great management, great staff & lovely residents!
A lovely home, Standard of care good Staff friendly and helpful in every way. Very pleasant surroundings. The caring for my husband was extremely good plenty of activities to keep him occupied, meals were fantastic plenty to choose from. Cleanliness superb, all in all his stay was successful and interaction was encouraged. Thank you to all the nurses carers and staff For making his stay a pleasant one.
Laurel Bank has been exceptional in caring for my mum following an emergency short-term stay due to a fall. It quickly became clear she needed permanent care, and the manager and deputy manager made the transition seamless, ensuring all her needs were met. The administrator handled the administration efficiently, making the process stress-free. The entire team-nursing, care, and housekeeping-provides outstanding, attentive support. Special thanks to the Pink Ladies, whose fantastic activities have truly lifted my mum's spirits. We're so grateful for the kindness and dedication of everyone at Laurel Bank!
The home has such a wonderful, homely and caring feel as soon as you walk in the building. The care and kindness shown in so many ways, from reception area, laundry, kitchen and care/nursing staff, they all work so hard to ensure that residents are as happy, content and looked after as can be. Thank you all sincerely.
Our mum's care at Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home was outstanding, she was treated with respect, such amazing care, understanding and real friendship. Every time I visited which was most days when I was in Lancaster, there was such a happy vibe, the staff are second to none and went out of their way to make Mum's life happy, she always had a good laugh and funny stories to tell. Mum's food was excellent and was given many options if she was not feeling like eating from the menu. I cannot thank the amazing staff at Laural Bank enough. You are a credit to Barchester. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Mum is making very good progress at Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home, both medically and mentally. The recent trips out to a cafe and the park were very much enjoyed by her, the encouragement by the activities coordinator has been particularly outstanding. Mum is also able now to take most of her meals in the dining room and is enjoying the company.
Word-of-mouth recommendation caused me to choose Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home for two week's respite care. Warmly welcome - all staff are loving and caring. Room is spacious, decor tasteful, surroundings quiet and restful. Dining room is light and airy, spotless, white damask tablecloths and napkins. Lounge and quiet lounge - chairs and settees arranged randomly - not in long lines or circles with everyone staring at each other. Decorations throughout immaculate. Food always hot, plates hot and well presented. Even after a short stay, I am impressed and overall, I know this home is well-run and the word I would use to describe it is outstanding! I could write more.
Does virtually anything very well - most are excellent. Most staff are excellent and in all the standards are very good. Cannot fault it in any category.
Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home looked after my auntie, the care and compassion they showed her from the day she arrived until God called her home. They are angels in disguise, there will be a reward in heaven, our family will never be able to thank you for the love you showed our auntie and all her family.
I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home and the care they showed my mum (and also support for me) in the 8 weeks she spent with them. Despite her speech problems, the staff built good relationships with her. She really enjoyed all the food which was tasty and varied and served beautifully on white tabelcloths in the dining room where a huge effort was made to make this social time. There were activities everyday, several lounges plus the garden so residents had a choice of places to sit. The nurses, in liason with GPs, and palliative team made sure that Mum had excellent medical care. At the start of her stay, we had 1 small concern and this was dealt with immediately. I will forever be grateful for the quality of life at the end of her life that Laurel Bank provided.
Everything is good for my sister. Well looked after and lovely staff.
An excellent residential home for the elderly.
Staff are friendly and attentive. Helpful and nothing appears too much trouble. Everywhere is clean and well cared for. Communal areas are homely.
Initially, Mum came in for respite and initially wouldn't leave the room but gradually, over the month Mum stayed, mixed with others and engaged and now wants to stay. Mum loves the interaction she has throughout the day with both fellow residents and all grades of staff. Mum is also starting to engage with activities which are at Barchester Laurel Bank Care Home. Mum's mental health and socialisation have improved vastly.
