My mum has been a resident in the home for 12 months. The initial transition from independent living to care home living was a difficult and emotional process for all of us but the professionalism and experience of the management helped us through it.
The care staff who look after mum on a day to
day basis are wonderful. They are so patient with all the residents (and visitors) and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I highly recommend them.

My mum has been at Priory Park for best part of 4 years. I have NEVER smelt urine. I use the stairs at least 2 times a week. Never had a problem AT ALL..
Amanda and her team look after my mum as if she were family. She is well fed and watered by the brilliant care staff.
There is a GP very
close by and i believe they regularly visit the patients at PP.
My mother has complex needs and is cared for tremendously well.
Would highly recommend.
If I could give 6 stars I glady would! A

Friendly, polite, caring & approachable staff.
Taking into account the management, carers, cleaners, kitchen, laundry staff & maintenance.
The staff work as team & I think that's what makes the home so good.
The home is clean & they treat the patients like they would liked to be treated. There
is always something going on whether it's a movie afternoon or bingo etc.
We are informed of any changes, accidents or A&E visits straight away.

My dad has been a resident at Priory Park Care Home for almost a year now.I was surprised to see how quickly he had settled in.This was a relief to mum and I,after months of worrying and searching for the right care home to meet his needs. Its a lovely tastefully decorated home with excellent
staff. All members of staff are very welcoming and attentive to all residents and visitors. They keep me informed of any medical issues with regular updates on how he is doing.Dad really enjoys the home cooked meals they provide,as well as snacks in between meal times.Priory Park has high standards of cleanliness.Dads bedroom personalised with all his belongings, photos television, mini fridge etc.His room really is cosy and comfortable. It has a lovely outdoor space with a large patio and garden .Its great to sit out in especially when they put on entertainment, summer fairs etc.But just simply nice to get some fresh air ,have a cuppa and a chat whilst viewing the beautiful garden.Dad is content here.

My wife has Alzheimer's and, before coming to Priory Park she was in another care home which was unable to fully meet her needs. In particular there had been difficulties with her sleep pattern and surrounding behaviour which had resulted in my wife often sleeping in a recliner or armchair in a
common area rather than in her room. Also, she often displayed aggressive and challenging behaviour, in addition to which, due to severely impaired hearing and poor eyesight, communication was often extremely difficult, affecting all aspects of her care.
Due to the skills, knowledge, understanding, patience and compassion of the staff at Priory Park, there was a marked improvement in my wife's sleeping pattern, behaviour and general well-being within a matter of months This has continued over the two years that she has been there.
My wife's willingness and/or ability to meaningfully engage in organised activities at the home is limited but her interactions with staff are generally good.

My family and I highly recommend Priory Park Care Home. We have found management extremely well-informed, thoughtful and experienced in their care of dementia residents. Very efficient, caring, friendly and supportive with good communication when appropriate.
The staff interaction with the
residents together with all the various activities is supportive, friendly and compassionate. They all go 'the extra mile' to make residents as happy and content as possible. I know this all makes a huge difference to the quality of my husband's life.

Both of my parents have been at Priory Park care home for the last two years. All of the staff are wonderful and so caring. They know each individual resident so well and are able to identify their needs and react with care and compassion. Not only do they build an excellent relationship with the
residents, they also know the family and build a great relationship with them too.
The activities that take place are designed to engage the residents and residents are encouraged to take part. It certainly puts a smile on their faces when they are baking, gardening and interacting with therapy ponies.
Amanda, the care home manager, and her amazing team are always very approachable and keep me informed of any decisions with regard to my parents care and I am eternally grateful for their support through difficult times. Unfortunately, my dad passed away recently and the dignity and care that was shown to him during his end of life was faultless and was done with such understanding and compassion.

A truly wonderful care home where the care afforded to my parents is outstanding. The kindness and support shown to them at all times is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and we are always welcomed with a smile, a hello and the offer of a cup of tea!
The carers are always attentive,
professional and respectful. They make what is a very difficult period in ours and my parents' lives much more bearable. Their knowledge regarding caring for the elderly and those with dementia is outstanding.
Sadly my father passed away in the last 6 weeks and without doubt the support provided to my family made a very difficult time much easier to cope with. And my father was treated with such respect as he sadly neared the end of his life.

My husband is a new resident and I have to say the manager has been amazing, helping us through problems with social workers etc.
The care he has received from all the staff has been exemplary and having a care review was so helpful.
His room is lovely as are all the areas. Talking to other
relatives who have had relatives in residence for a lengthy period they have nothing but praise for all aspects of care.

My elderly in-laws moved to Priory Park approx 2 months ago, this was a forced move from a previous home and we were worried that it might prove problematic and speed up the diagnosis.
In 2 months the change has been very positive, both are encouraged to walk as much as possible, they are eating
properly (all home cooked) and both are happy and have settled in well.
The home manager and her staff have been brilliant, making my in-laws actively engage with them and the other residents, the carers have a very happy, friendly and tactile approach and it's had a really good effect on them. It isn't nice to see any of your relatives with dementia having to reside in any care facility, but we are so happy with their progress and the fact that all the staff treat with them dignity and with a fun approach brings a little normality to a difficult situation. Credit where it's due, so thanks to Priory Park and all its wonderful staff.

We were initially worried about Dad going into a Care Home for the first time. It was a difficult decision after such a life of independence. Six months since he joined the home he's very settled, happier and stronger than when he struggled at home. The staff are really wonderful with him. He knows
them well and they know him. We see the same familiar faces each time we visit and they love giving him a happy life which has restored his dignity. We happily recommend the home to anyone.

My dad has been at Priory Park Care Home in the Dementia unit for about 4 months now. He has settled in really well. He is eating better, sleeping better and overall is happier and alot more relaxed. I cannot praise the manager and her team enough for the care and compassion they have shown my dad,
he has very complex needs and every one of his needs are met. 5 stars is not enough for this home and the way they look after Dad, if I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you so much to the manager and her team.

Coming to terms with the fact that you can no longer provide the level of care a loved one needs and that a nursing/care home is needed is never an easy decision. When looking for a home, we visited Priory Park Care Home and met with the manager, who spent an hour showing us around and discussing
the care Mum would receive. In February this year, Mum become a resident, and I have always found the staff caring and approachable and have been kept informed of any decisions or needs relating to my mum's care. Not only do the staff care for Mum they have also been there for me too, and their support is much appreciated.

My mother-in-law has Alzheimer’s dementia. She moved into Priory Park recently after having a live-in carer at home for 7/8 months.
Before moving in she had become increasingly upset, very distressed and anxious with changes in her behaviour with the carers in her own home.
We accepted and
followed all the professional advice of the care home manager, including not visiting initially for a few weeks to allow her to settle in.
I am both relieved and extremely pleased with how well the transition went and is continuing to go without her being anxious, distressed or displaying behavioural changes.
A very big heartfelt thank you to the manager for all your professional knowledge, advice, help and support and to all the staff for the welcoming, understanding and looking after her with kindness.

When entering the care home, we are always met by pleasant and friendly staff from the manager and throughout all of those who take part in the care and support of my sister.
We are advised about PPE and current protocols around safety, security and the care of residents.
We are offered a drink
whilst visiting.
We are very happy with the thoughtful, kind and caring attitude offered in the way that my elderly sister is cared for in the confusion of dementia.

It was a massive decision to move Mum from her home, but Priory Park is a lovely caring home from home.
The Manager and all the staff are wonderful, they are an amazing team.
Mum is very happy at Priory Park she is well cared for, settled and is safe.
All the staff are very approachable and
go out of their way to help and put plans in place to make things easier for Mum and for us. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done professionally and with a smile.
19 May 2022
My father spent time in two previous care homes, neither of which could care for his needs so I was relieved to see him cared for well in Priory Park during his Discharge to Assess time. The staff were very supportive of his needs and gave him lots of time and attention during what was a difficult
and stressful time for him.
He wasn't easy to care for but the staff showed empathy and consideration for him at all times, never moaning about him when we visited. On the contrary, they really did see the beauty of him and cared for the needs of myself and my mum when we visited. They reassured us and offered valuable insights into my dad's behaviour and prognosis.
They also supported us when the time came for my dad to return home and made themselves available should we need to get in touch. The manager was very involved with the day to day running and had a full understanding of my dad's needs. She gave my mum as much time as she needed during visits, helping to reassure her.
