My Dad was at Priory Park Care Home for a few months and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The home itself is well looked after, clean and with thoughtful touches to make it cosy feeling, and there is good food and a lovely agenda of activities, but it is the staff themselves who are beyond brilliant. They always had time for my questions, and really got to know and understand my Dad, and were consistently kind and responsive. My Dad sadly passed away in May, but I will always be grateful to Amanda, and Chloe, and all the staff, for their unerring support and care during my Dad's final months.
Thank you for your lovely review of our home Nicola. It was our pleasure to care for your Dad and get to know you all as a family.
Although my husband was only resident for a few months his care was exemplary. Owing to his health problems he had to be admitted to hospital several times and Amanda, the manager, helped us get him back to their care chasing the hospital even on her days off. As a family we will be forever grateful to her and her staff. He sadly died during his last hospital admission and even after his death their kindness continued. I would have no hesitation in recommending Priory Park to care for your loved ones.
Thank you for your lovely review Ann. It was a pleasure and a privilege to support and care for your husband at Priory Park.
The care staff who look after mum on a day to day basis are wonderful. They are so patient with all the residents (and visitors) and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I highly recommend them.
Thank you for your lovely review Jane. Thank you for your feedback for the care staff - I will pass it onto them. It our pleasure to care for and support your Mum.
Amanda and her team look after my mum as if she were family. She is well fed and watered by the brilliant care staff.
There is a GP very close by and i believe they regularly visit the patients at PP.
My mother has complex needs and is cared for tremendously well.
Would highly recommend.
If I could give 6 stars I glady would! A
Thank you for your review Alex and for sharing your experience of our home. We are grateful to have been a small part of your Mum's journey and care. We look forward to your visits.
Taking into account the management, carers, cleaners, kitchen, laundry staff & maintenance.
The staff work as team & I think that's what makes the home so good.
The home is clean & they treat the patients like they would liked to be treated. There is always something going on whether it's a movie afternoon or bingo etc.
We are informed of any changes, accidents or A&E visits straight away.
Thank you for your lovely review Carole. It has been a pleasure to care for both of your parents at Priory Park. We are grateful for all of the support you continue to provide to Priory Park.
My dad has been a resident at Priory Park Care Home for almost a year now.I was surprised to see how quickly he had settled in.This was a relief to mum and I,after months of worrying and searching for the right care home to meet his needs. Its a lovely tastefully decorated home with excellent staff. All members of staff are very welcoming and attentive to all residents and visitors. They keep me informed of any medical issues with regular updates on how he is doing.Dad really enjoys the home cooked meals they provide,as well as snacks in between meal times.Priory Park has high standards of cleanliness.Dads bedroom personalised with all his belongings, photos television, mini fridge etc.His room really is cosy and comfortable. It has a lovely outdoor space with a large patio and garden .Its great to sit out in especially when they put on entertainment, summer fairs etc.But just simply nice to get some fresh air ,have a cuppa and a chat whilst viewing the beautiful garden.Dad is content here.
Thank you for your detailed review. It is our pleasure to support your dad. You and your family are valued members of our Priory Park Family.
Due to the skills, knowledge, understanding, patience and compassion of the staff at Priory Park, there was a marked improvement in my wife's sleeping pattern, behaviour and general well-being within a matter of months This has continued over the two years that she has been there.
My wife's willingness and/or ability to meaningfully engage in organised activities at the home is limited but her interactions with staff are generally good.
Thank you for sharing your experience of your wife's care and support at Priory Park. Thank you for your support within our home, it is very much appreciated and valued.
The staff interaction with the residents together with all the various activities is supportive, friendly and compassionate. They all go 'the extra mile' to make residents as happy and content as possible. I know this all makes a huge difference to the quality of my husband's life.
Thank you for your review A. We are grateful to be a part of your husband's care and support team. We truly appreciate all of the support and input you provide to our home.
Great care home, would recommend to anyone who has someone in need of dementia care. Staff always kind and helpful. Located in a nice part of Preston and with good acccess and facilities. Hope this review is helpful
Thank you for your review, it is our pleasure to support your Mum. Thank you for recommending our home to support people living with Dementia.
The activities that take place are designed to engage the residents and residents are encouraged to take part. It certainly puts a smile on their faces when they are baking, gardening and interacting with therapy ponies.
Amanda, the care home manager, and her amazing team are always very approachable and keep me informed of any decisions with regard to my parents care and I am eternally grateful for their support through difficult times. Unfortunately, my dad passed away recently and the dignity and care that was shown to him during his end of life was faultless and was done with such understanding and compassion.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. It has been our pleasure to care for and support your parents at Priory Park. You and all of your family are a huge part of our home and we are very grateful of your support and input.
A truly wonderful care home where the care afforded to my parents is outstanding. The kindness and support shown to them at all times is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and we are always welcomed with a smile, a hello and the offer of a cup of tea!
The carers are always attentive, professional and respectful. They make what is a very difficult period in ours and my parents' lives much more bearable. Their knowledge regarding caring for the elderly and those with dementia is outstanding.
Sadly my father passed away in the last 6 weeks and without doubt the support provided to my family made a very difficult time much easier to cope with. And my father was treated with such respect as he sadly neared the end of his life.
Thank you for this lovely review. We are very lucky to have shared such a small part in your parents' journey. Thank you for your continuous support - You are valued members of our Priory Park Family.
The care home always had a smell of urine stairway dirty never hoovered room smelled unhygienic we had to clean it daily staff were good but management terrible made up behaviour issues food wasn't great would not recommend it to anyone
As your relative has not been resident in the home for some time, there have been ongoing developments and...
In 2 months the change has been very positive, both are encouraged to walk as much as possible, they are eating properly (all home cooked) and both are happy and have settled in well.
The home manager and her staff have been brilliant, making my in-laws actively engage with them and the other residents, the carers have a very happy, friendly and tactile approach and it's had a really good effect on them. It isn't nice to see any of your relatives with dementia having to reside in any care facility, but we are so happy with their progress and the fact that all the staff treat with them dignity and with a fun approach brings a little normality to a difficult situation. Credit where it's due, so thanks to Priory Park and all its wonderful staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is our pleasure to care for your loved ones - they are a big part of our Priory Park Family. I will ensure I pass your feedback to the wonderful team.
We were initially worried about Dad going into a Care Home for the first time. It was a difficult decision after such a life of independence. Six months since he joined the home he's very settled, happier and stronger than when he struggled at home. The staff are really wonderful with him. He knows them well and they know him. We see the same familiar faces each time we visit and they love giving him a happy life which has restored his dignity. We happily recommend the home to anyone.
Thank you for such a lovely review. I will ensure I pass your kind words on to the staff team. It is our pleasure to care for and support your Dad!
My dad has been at Priory Park Care Home in the Dementia unit for about 4 months now. He has settled in really well. He is eating better, sleeping better and overall is happier and alot more relaxed. I cannot praise the manager and her team enough for the care and compassion they have shown my dad, he has very complex needs and every one of his needs are met. 5 stars is not enough for this home and the way they look after Dad, if I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you so much to the manager and her team.
Good Afternoon! Thank you for your kind and detailed review. Thank you for the praise for the full team - I will ensure this is passed on to my colleagues. Many thanks once again!
Coming to terms with the fact that you can no longer provide the level of care a loved one needs and that a nursing/care home is needed is never an easy decision. When looking for a home, we visited Priory Park Care Home and met with the manager, who spent an hour showing us around and discussing the care Mum would receive. In February this year, Mum become a resident, and I have always found the staff caring and approachable and have been kept informed of any decisions or needs relating to my mum's care. Not only do the staff care for Mum they have also been there for me too, and their support is much appreciated.
Good Afternoon! Thank you for taking the time to submit a review for Priory Park Care Centre. Thank you for the feedback on your experience of the support given for mum and for you. Many Thanks once again.
Before moving in she had become increasingly upset, very distressed and anxious with changes in her behaviour with the carers in her own home.
We accepted and followed all the professional advice of the care home manager, including not visiting initially for a few weeks to allow her to settle in.
I am both relieved and extremely pleased with how well the transition went and is continuing to go without her being anxious, distressed or displaying behavioural changes.
A very big heartfelt thank you to the manager for all your professional knowledge, advice, help and support and to all the staff for the welcoming, understanding and looking after her with kindness.
Thank you for your lovely detailed review - It is our pleasure!
We are advised about PPE and current protocols around safety, security and the care of residents.
We are offered a drink whilst visiting.
We are very happy with the thoughtful, kind and caring attitude offered in the way that my elderly sister is cared for in the confusion of dementia.
Thank you for your lovely review - it's our pleasure!
After worrying about her loneliness and lack of social interaction for a long time, she has settled really well into Priory Park. The staff are all so supportive and attentive to her needs both physical and social.
Thank you for your review - much appreciated. We look forward to your visits!
The Manager and all the staff are wonderful, they are an amazing team.
Mum is very happy at Priory Park she is well cared for, settled and is safe.
All the staff are very approachable and go out of their way to help and put plans in place to make things easier for Mum and for us. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done professionally and with a smile.
Thank you for such a lovely review! It is our pleasure to support your Mum and you as a family.
