Pilling Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Choosing Pilling Nursing Home for my mum has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made. She has been here for ten months and recently celebrated her 98th birthday. From day one she was met with warmth, kindness, and genuine care.

Every member of the team is exceptional. Nothing is ever

too much trouble. From thoughtful snacks made up of my mum's favourites to the kindness, reassurance, and human connection, the care goes far beyond the practical.

Days are filled with caring interactions and meaningful activities, while individuality is respected - duvet days, late nights, and personal routines are accommodated. Residents are treated with dignity and compassion.

What matters most is the love and humanity shown every day. My mum is safe, known, comforted, and genuinely cared for. As a family, we have complete peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by people who truly care. Pilling is not just a nursing home - it is a caring community, and we are truly thankful.

Reply from Kirsty Miller, Registered Manager at Pilling Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review. Your words mean a great deal to our whole team!

My Mom received amazing care in the 3.!/2 years she was at lisbeth. Mom was treated like family and so was
I and my daughter and son. All the staff are so friendly as soon as you walk through the door. They even called her nan which she liked as she had Dementia. The residents are always happy and the
staff go above and beyond. The activities are really good and so is the entertainment. Even though Mom was bed ridden at the end they still included her , what a care home. We would not have wanted her anywhere else. The last week
of moms life was hard for myself and daughter and son, watching her slip away but what a team they even made sure we were looked after. Thank you so much Andrea you have a care home to be proud of and all the staff should be proud of themselves . To everyone at Lisbeth we loved you all and we will never forget what you did for Mom.

Glen Arun Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has been a resident at Glen Arun for over 2 years. There were minor issues with the transition to the care home, however any gaps in the required processes have now been addressed by the change in management. Although quite weak and confused when she arrived at the care home, the staff have always
ensured that her best interests and personal requirements have been considered, and she is now happy in a regular daily routine. Communication with the management is clear so as a family we are always aware of what is planned and any medical concerns that they have, which gives us great peace of mind. Food is of a good standard, and residents are encouraged to take part in a range of activities. All staff are friendly and very welcoming when we visit. So, our overall experience is of an excellent care home which always has the residents' interests at its heart, and which is open and transparent in all its dealings with their relatives.
Reply from Jade Tauli, Deputy manager at Glen Arun Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful and positive feedback about mum's experience at Glen Arun.
We are delighted to hear that she has settled well and is happy in her daily routine. Your kind words about our staff, communication, food, and activities mean a great deal to us. We also appreciate your understanding during the earlier transition period and are pleased that the improvements made have had a positive impact. Providing care that is centred on each resident's best interests, while maintaining open and transparent communication with families, is very important to us. It is truly rewarding to know that this gives you peace of mind.
Thank you again, Joseph for your trust and support. We look forward to continuing to care for her and to working closely with your family.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We knew the care given by all the staff at Glen Arun was wonderful, as they look after my mother. Therefore, when my aunt and uncle (both in their 90s) needed to move out of their home into somewhere where they could received the care and support for both their personal and medical needs, Glen Arun
was the logical choice. They have now been there about 18 months and have really settled in well. They both enjoy the companionship of others in the Day Room and participating in the events with the staff. Even though we visit them several times a week, it's lovely to see them pop up in the Facebook posts enjoying themselves. On occasions when one or other is unwell and stays in bed, we know that there are staff checking on them regularly to make sure their needs are met. We cannot fault anything about the Care Home or the staff - they are all brilliant.

Your kind words truly mean a great deal to all of us at Glen Arun, and we take them with immense pride. It is incredibly rewarding to hear how well your family(Aunt &Uncle) settled in and how much they enjoy the companionship, activities, and day-to-day life within the home. All staff that I had contact with were polite, caring individuals, from carers and nurses that were mainly concerned to provide care to my resident friend; to those that were always ready to arrange tea or coffee, or provide access to the entrance door. The fees for my friends end of life care were
provided by the local NHS trust so the value for money assessment has not been assessed.

Always felt confident that mum was receiving the best care. The lift is too small.
Reply from David Ogunleye, Director at Allesley HallHi, thank you for your review and I'm sorry about her passing and hope you're doing okay. I'm happy to know that you felt confident that we delivered the best care possible for your mum as that's what we strive to do. Regarding the 3* value for money rating, sorry if you felt we're more expensive than others but in order to provide the best care possible for our residents and make sure that they are treated with dignity, quality care and more, we need to reflect that in our costs. Where possible, we do try to help families. For example, in your case, we provided your mum with a room upgrade as well before passing away, which I know you were extremely pleased about. Thank you for choosing us to care for your mother.

Kind regards,

My mum had been bed bound for some months and the transformation in the 3 weeks respite care she had was incredible. She loved the people, felt safe and cared for, ate well and her personal care was outstanding. In her words she felt "alive" again. Her room overlooked beautiful views and as an avid
garden lover she was really happy in her environment. Her personal appearance and general wellbeing was definitely enhanced by the high care standards and her mental health improved no end. Thank you to everyone for making her feel so welcome and able to take part in life at Allesley Hall in such a dignified and respectful way.
Reply from David Ogunleye, Director at Allesley HallHi Sue, as you know, we loved having your mum at the care home and it was great to see her spirits become revitalised. This became especially apparent from the relationship she developed with Nick, our activities coordinator who seemed to quickly recognise her personal interests and how to motivate her to socialise.

It really is great to hear about her mental and physical health improvement I hope she's able to have a great time celebrating Christmas with the family. Thank you for the lovely testimonial.

Best wishes,

When visiting the staff are courteous and friendly. In the lounge staff are very patient with residents and attentive. Staff encourage residents to eat drink and join in with activities. Rooms are clean and clothes are hung up or put away properly. The menu shows that residents get wholesome familiar
food such as fish and chips, shepherds pie, roast dinner, syrup sponge and fruit crumble. A very homely home.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have held off doing a review for a while as I wanted my comments to be based on months of experience rather than days or weeks. My mother is in Allesley Hall & has been there for over 6 months. As a family we considered very carefully what type of establishment would best suit her & her needs & she
herself was very much involved in the decision, as moving in to permanent care after a long life of living independently was going to entail a huge transition for her. After an extremely traumatic & dangerous few weeks at another home in Coventry she was transferred to Allesley Hall & the experience could not have been more contrasting. The management, nursing staff, & all other staff are not only professional and efficient, they are truly caring in every sense of the word. The surroundings are comfortable & the location is stunning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allesley Hall. My mother feels safe, happy, & so well looked after. That is worth its weight in gold to our family.
Reply from David Ogunleye, Director at Allesley HallHi, thank you so much for the review. I'm delighted that your mum is now receiving compassionate care and most importantly, is treated safety and with dignity. It honestly makes the world of difference to read this and I can't wait to share it with the team. Sometimes it's hard to see how much work the team put in behind the scenes to provide residential care or nursing care to the quality that they do, so hearing positive feedback like yours truly does help.

Thank you,

Allesley Hall care home.

Genuinely caring staff. I know my mum is safe and well looked after. Mum is treated with dignity at all times. The food looks good and I like their routine of eating in a dining room. It's good that they aren't stuck in their rooms all day and are encouraged to use the lounge.
Reply from Aleksander Angelov, Register Manager at Rosedale Care HomeThank you for your wondeful comments. Your mum is amazingly settle at Rosedale.

My mum came to Rosedale after a fall and was in hospital for a few weeks. This has been a difficult time as my sister died a few weeks before my mum's fall and so she was very low in herself already. Going to a care home filled her with anxiety and fear. The manager went to see her in hospital before
she was moved into the care home, and was very kind and reassuring to her. When she arrived she was anxious and a bit low and Alex, the manager and all the staff made sure that she was reassured and looked after. She said that she felt right at home the moment she arrived. She has settled amazingly quickly and is now getting involved in activities and engaging with the other residents. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved about all the above.
The home is warm friendly and very comfortable. All areas of the home are spotlessly clean There is a nice relaxed atmosphere. Her room is large, light and airy. She is very much treated as an individual with respect, and superb care!

My mother recently spent two months in Allesley Hall, requiring respite, due to struggling to care for herself and anxiety. She was very well cared for, drastically reducing the anxiety and becoming much happier. Many thanks to all concerned.
