My husband John went to Lisbeth Nursing Home on 30/12/24. Following a 5 month spell at New Cross hospital. John became Paraplegic in New Cross due to a serious infection and a fall, where he also gained a Grade 4 pressure sore, which went to the bone.
The staff at Lisbeth have worked tirelessly over
the last 13 months to heal that sore, to get it to a place whereby he can be sent to a specialist spinal unit for rehabilitation and his final step to get him home. After his poor care at hospital, I was weary of leaving him there. But I needed not to worry. All the staff have made us and John feel like a member of the family. Catering to his dietary needs and providing the excellent care he has needed. We have had a few tears, but many laughs within the home. Getting to know the staff making it a home from home for John. Andrea and Beverly took the time to ensure we were all cared for and to know John was in safe hands. I have no hesitation to recommend Lisbeth Nursing Home to anyone
Reply from Andrea Walker, Home Manager at Lisbeth Nursing HomeThank you for your feedback, it was an absolute pleasure looking after John. We are so pleased he is now on his final stage of his rehabilitation to get him back home.
You are all part of the Lisbeth family.

It was with great sadness when we had to put our Mum into a nursing home after she could no longer be cared for in her own home. She was there for nearly one year, during this time she was cared for as an individual, treated with dignity and love. All the staff have been fantastic with her, she forged
some close relationships in that year, not something we were expecting. The home were not just there for her, but for our family. Nothing was too much for any of the staff, whether it was management, nurses, care assistants, catering staff, cleaners, laundry ladies, and not forgetting Wallis the dog who helped when Mum was upset or stressed. Mum particularly enjoyed her time crafting and the entertainment, and the wonderful day trips. At the end of her life the home made sure she was treated with the greatest care anyone could have given her. They came to her funeral to say a final goodbye, and told us some lovely stories about her. Words can't convey our gratitude for her care.
Reply from Jessica Middleton, Manager at Beechwood PlaceYour mum was such a big character in the home and she is greatly missed. It was a pleasure to care for her and the team are very lucky to have a family that are so supportive of what we do and the activities we provide. We hope you will all stay in touch and drop in to visit.

In June 2024 my husband was transferred to Lisbeth from hospital for assessment. He had been very poorly and was in advanced stage of Alzheimer's. We had to accept a care home room wherever available BUT fortunately he came to Lisbeth. Following assessment I was so pleased he could remain there. Sadly
he passed peacefully away in hospital on the 19th January.
I need to offer my sincere thanks to Andrea and her staff for the love and nursing care given to my husband, he improved and staff could even get an occasional smile. He was well cared for throughout his time there. I was also supported on this journey and help was given with any problems or worries.
Although bed bound my husband was occasionally wheeled into the lounge for the entertainment, he loved music. I shared many happy hours there with him and I feel he was happy too.
Sending my love and heartfelt thanks to you all. xx

Visiting my brother in law today, I witnessed kindness and a genuine love between the residents and staff. They are so knowledgeable about the residents that they can tap into core memories with them to help reassure and settle residents. I witnessed staff dancing with a resident and another sharing
her donut, which all the staff had as a celebration, she cut it into tiny slices and shared it with all the residents that were in her room.
There is constant laughter and always something happening. One resident was giving Ballroom lessons to all the staff. He was in his element.
I always leave here with reassurance and a full heart knowing my very poorly brother in law is respected and cared for by the most incredible team.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister was transferred to Allesley Hall from a home in London when they were both part of MHA. I had been very pleased with the home in London and following a conversation with the manager of Allesley Hall was confident the same standard of care would be maintained. My experience shows this has been
the case. My sister is rather challenging, but the carers have learned how to manage her with respect and dignity. Communication is excellent. The home and gardens are in a beautiful location. After a year I believe the 5 star rating is warranted.
Reply from David Ogunleye, Director at Allesley HallHi Ronald, we appreciate the trust you've had to allow us to look after your sister. Hearing that our nurses and carers have treated her with compassion, respect and dignity is great to hear. It completely aligns with our values. Our management team also try their best to ensure they communicate updates with you and I hope you know, if you need any further assistance, I'm just a call away. Thank you for the 10/10 rating!

My mother was a resident of Allesley Hall for nearly 4 years until her recent passing. From the very beginning mum spoke very highly of all the staff and how much she loved her room. Right up until the end mum would comment how all her requirements were met.
Personally I have never met such a caring
group of people. The staff are amazing, I will genuinely miss seeing them all. They all showed such warmth and fondness towards my mum. It felt like an extended family, one I would choose!
As my mum's life drew to a close, all the staff were so caring with us all it was a great comfort to me and eased the sadness.
I would highly recommend Allesley Hall.
I wish everyone there all the very best and my heartfelt thanks for everything you did for mum and my family.
Reply from David Ogunleye, Director at Allesley HallHi P O, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mum. As someone that met her personally, it was always a pleasure speaking with her and having her be part of our home. Please don't be a stranger in the future! If you ever want to pop in, please do. Thank you for the referral and the warm messages. The staff really appreciated hearing it! Love Allesley Hall Care Home.

Choosing Pilling Nursing Home for my mum has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made. She has been here for ten months and recently celebrated her 98th birthday. From day one she was met with warmth, kindness, and genuine care.

Every member of the team is exceptional. Nothing is ever

too much trouble. From thoughtful snacks made up of my mum's favourites to the kindness, reassurance, and human connection, the care goes far beyond the practical.

Days are filled with caring interactions and meaningful activities, while individuality is respected - duvet days, late nights, and personal routines are accommodated. Residents are treated with dignity and compassion.

What matters most is the love and humanity shown every day. My mum is safe, known, comforted, and genuinely cared for. As a family, we have complete peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by people who truly care. Pilling is not just a nursing home - it is a caring community, and we are truly thankful.

Reply from Kirsty Miller, Registered Manager at Pilling Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review. Your words mean a great deal to our whole team!

My Mom received amazing care in the 3.!/2 years she was at lisbeth. Mom was treated like family and so was
I and my daughter and son. All the staff are so friendly as soon as you walk through the door. They even called her nan which she liked as she had Dementia. The residents are always happy and the
staff go above and beyond. The activities are really good and so is the entertainment. Even though Mom was bed ridden at the end they still included her , what a care home. We would not have wanted her anywhere else. The last week
of moms life was hard for myself and daughter and son, watching her slip away but what a team they even made sure we were looked after. Thank you so much Andrea you have a care home to be proud of and all the staff should be proud of themselves . To everyone at Lisbeth we loved you all and we will never forget what you did for Mom.

Mum has been a resident at Glen Arun for over 2 years. There were minor issues with the transition to the care home, however any gaps in the required processes have now been addressed by the change in management. Although quite weak and confused when she arrived at the care home, the staff have always
ensured that her best interests and personal requirements have been considered, and she is now happy in a regular daily routine. Communication with the management is clear so as a family we are always aware of what is planned and any medical concerns that they have, which gives us great peace of mind. Food is of a good standard, and residents are encouraged to take part in a range of activities. All staff are friendly and very welcoming when we visit. So, our overall experience is of an excellent care home which always has the residents' interests at its heart, and which is open and transparent in all its dealings with their relatives.
Reply from Jade Tauli, Deputy manager at Glen Arun Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful and positive feedback about mum's experience at Glen Arun.
We are delighted to hear that she has settled well and is happy in her daily routine. Your kind words about our staff, communication, food, and activities mean a great deal to us. We also appreciate your understanding during the earlier transition period and are pleased that the improvements made have had a positive impact. Providing care that is centred on each resident's best interests, while maintaining open and transparent communication with families, is very important to us. It is truly rewarding to know that this gives you peace of mind.
Thank you again, Joseph for your trust and support. We look forward to continuing to care for her and to working closely with your family.

We knew the care given by all the staff at Glen Arun was wonderful, as they look after my mother. Therefore, when my aunt and uncle (both in their 90s) needed to move out of their home into somewhere where they could received the care and support for both their personal and medical needs, Glen Arun
was the logical choice. They have now been there about 18 months and have really settled in well. They both enjoy the companionship of others in the Day Room and participating in the events with the staff. Even though we visit them several times a week, it's lovely to see them pop up in the Facebook posts enjoying themselves. On occasions when one or other is unwell and stays in bed, we know that there are staff checking on them regularly to make sure their needs are met. We cannot fault anything about the Care Home or the staff - they are all brilliant.
Reply from Jade Tauli, Deputy manager at Glen Arun Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to all of us at Glen Arun, and we take them with immense pride. It is incredibly rewarding to hear how well your family(Aunt &Uncle) settled in and how much they enjoy the companionship, activities, and day-to-day life within the home. Knowing that you feel reassured about the care and support they receive-especially during times when they are unwell-means everything to our team.

All staff that I had contact with were polite, caring individuals, from carers and nurses that were mainly concerned to provide care to my resident friend; to those that were always ready to arrange tea or coffee, or provide access to the entrance door. The fees for my friends end of life care were
provided by the local NHS trust so the value for money assessment has not been assessed.
Reply from Richelle Smith, Manager at Elvaston Lodge Nursing HomeDear Malcolm,

On behalf of the Elvaston Lodge team, I am grateful for the reviews you provided us. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. This means a lot to us.

Take care.

Kind regards,
