Excellent care given by an outstanding team of staff led by an amazing manager. My mum is very happy here and has been for over 5 years. Sadly the previous owner had not decorated for a long time so Mum's room is one of the few rooms that has not yet been updated but it is clean with an en-suite and
a lovely view of the garden. I would thoroughly recommend this small, friendly, caring home.

My Aunt has been staying at Rosedale for some time now and is very happy there. She has a good relationship with the carers and staff who treat her with respect, dignity and she always has a bit of a joke around and fun with them. She enjoys the food and is comfortable in her setting, they have a
lovely dinning room and main room for all, her bedroom is nice and has everything she needs.
thanks for looking after my Aunt Rosedale team !

The care my mother has received at Rosedale has been exemplary. Everything has been done to help my mother be as well as she can, and as settled as she can, and as stimulated and engaged as possible. The home is well managed and my mother is treated with care, kindness and compassion by a dedicated
team. I feel well informed and updated by the care home manager and staff. The home is also very active in ensuring timely assessments from the wider community multi-disciplinary team. Rosedale is well-staffed with regular interactive sessions. Mum is also enjoying her food again.

Genuinely caring staff. I know my mum is safe and well looked after. Mum is treated with dignity at all times. The food looks good and I like their routine of eating in a dining room. It's good that they aren't stuck in their rooms all day and are encouraged to use the lounge.

My mum came to Rosedale after a fall and was in hospital for a few weeks. This has been a difficult time as my sister died a few weeks before my mum's fall and so she was very low in herself already. Going to a care home filled her with anxiety and fear. The manager went to see her in hospital before
she was moved into the care home, and was very kind and reassuring to her. When she arrived she was anxious and a bit low and Alex, the manager and all the staff made sure that she was reassured and looked after. She said that she felt right at home the moment she arrived. She has settled amazingly quickly and is now getting involved in activities and engaging with the other residents. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved about all the above.
The home is warm friendly and very comfortable. All areas of the home are spotlessly clean There is a nice relaxed atmosphere. Her room is large, light and airy. She is very much treated as an individual with respect, and superb care!

My mother moved to Rosedale after having a fall and breaking a vertebrae in her neck. The staff have been amazing. The manager went with a staff member to have training at the hospital. They were the only home in Horsham who were prepared to care for my mother with her spinal injury.

The staff are

so helpful and caring. My mother has settled in so quickly and is very happy there.

Mum moved into Rosedale last month. We were so anxious about her going into a care home and finding the right one. All our worries melted away after she moved in and we feel so at peace and blessed that she's at Rosedale. The staff are so caring and compassionate from the cleaner to the manager. Food,
cleanliness and care is 5*. There is no horrible smell of stale urine that so many care homes have. Her room is bright and airy but more importantly she is treated like an individual and her needs taken care of with kindness. Rosedale is an answer to our prayers!

Mum went into Rosedale early January 24 and has been very welcomed by both staff and manager. Mum is settling well and is doing so much better. It's such a homely, friendly place. The staff have been there a long time, so they get to know the needs of their residents. Everyone is brilliant in looking
after Mum, making sure all her needs are met - she has now put on weight and joins in with the activities. She enjoys the company of the other residents, and she is now embracing care home life. We are made to feel very welcomed and are kept informed on a daily apt to do with Mum. So happy we found Rosedale.

It is always lovely to visit Nan. She is so much happier here, with access to the garden where she can sit and relax. Now she has her cast off, they are encouraging her to move about as much as she can. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. Nan especially likes the manager, who seems to have a great
connection with Nan. They are always bubbly, friendly and going the extra mile to make sure she's comfortable (i.e. padding Nan's bed so her arms don't get trapped).

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.525)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.525) out of 10 for Rosedale Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.725 for Rosedale Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (108 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 142 Ratings = 4.725
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rosedale Care Home is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 18 registered maximum number of service users is 3.6, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
