Today I had the pleasure of attending the afternoon tea, put on for the family and friends of the residents of Rosedale. The manager and staff were very welcoming presenting a wonderful array of delicious sandwiches, cakes and tea. The venue was clean and bright and very comfortable for the residents and visitors too.

Most importantly was the care, support and dignity shown to each resident, whatever their needs. The manager and staff showed a professional and friendly approach to who they cared for creating a happy atmosphere enjoyed by all. Manager and staff are great ambassadors for your company.

Have had several delightful visits to a friend/relative at Rosedale. I noted how pleasant the room was and how comfortable the friend was being there.
The staff were welcoming and treated the residents with care and politeness.

The general atmosphere at Rosedale was very positive, and there was a sense of kindness towards the residents, each person valued. The "tea party" was a huge success, and many thanks are due to the manager and his staff. Well done!

Mum has been at Rosedale for about three years now. We have always been happy because she has been happy there. When we learned of the recent ownership change we feared the worse.

However, after several months we couldn't have been more wrong. The ' New ' manager has been like a new broom. He has swept through the place with changes and upgrades seen throughout. New Alarm Systems, complete redecoration and totally new furniture throughout. There is a refreshing new attitude exhibited by all staff with the emphasis on ' Living ' and a real attempt to make all the Residents feel 'Special'. Cannot recommend Rosedale more highly. All credit to a super ' Team ' of carers.

From our initial visit to Rosedale in June we have been very impressed with the manager and the team of carers.

Mum is very happy with her care and so are we. The whole team at Rosedale are very caring and friendly. Mum loves to have a chat and she is getting to know the carers. Added to that mum has a lovely bright and sunny room.

The home is clean and welcoming, a friendly small home… just what mum wanted.

My aunt went into Rosedale last September. The staff have been, and still are, caring and respectful of my aunt's needs. The owner who has run the home for twenty-four plus years has now retired and sold to a new one. Most of the original staff have remained and are continuing to care under the new management. This is a testimony to the sensitive and caring way the new management has managed the change.

My mother-in-law is treated with respect, dignity and kindness. The mood at Rosedale is 'up beat' and happy and once the activities are up and running will also be a more stimulating environment. There are some very positive planned changes and when completed it will be a truly lovely place to be. The food always looks very appetising and residents now have a choice of meals which is wonderful. I always leave Rosedale knowing my mother-in-law is well cared for both physically and mentally.

The staff at Rosedale gives me a pleasant welcome and are friendly. My friend enjoys the view from her window and says the food is good. She finds her bed and chair just right. All the staff are respectful and kind. They have been strict about the Coronavirus rules.

My mother has been a resident since January 2022. The staff have always been very kind and caring, creating a very homely environment. The home recently underwent a change of ownership which is resulting in more investment in the appearance of the home, including the garden. I consider the home excellent value for money and most importantly my mother is well cared for amongst staff that really care.

When my mum needed more care than I could give her we chose Rosedale because of its small size which was ideal for her. The excellent staff many of whom have been there for many years are all very kind and dedicated and have much compassion and empathy for the residents, and our loved ones in their care. I know that my mum is happy and safe which in turn makes me happy as I know she is well-cared for. The home is now under new management who have identified several areas where they intend to make improvements for example decorating etc.

Overall Experience

My mum came into the home for two weeks from hospital following a fall. We had already viewed Rosedale with the intention of arranging regular respite care, it was therefore our first choice for care when she was able to be discharged. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and I felt my mum was really looked after in a caring and respectful manner. Having permanent staff that the residents see on a daily basis is so important. We would have no hesitation in choosing Rosedale for future respite care.

What an amazing team there is at this home. It has a real family vibe. This has been retained after a recent management change too. The staff are all fully employed rather than agency workers and it is evident that each resident is respected and loved by each and everyone one of them.

The home has recently been taken over due to the retirement of the previous owner. The new manager is really approachable and open for a chat. He remembers my name. He is open and honest and has made massive changes to the somewhat tired decor in a short space of time. His presence has reinvigorated the team. He is open to feedback from both staff and residents and will do his utmost to carry through in a timely manner. This home will have a bright and happy future. Social services picked this home as part of a care package for my mum. I feel blessed that they chose Rosedale. As a family of a resident, our opinions and wishes are listened to as well and accommodated to the best of the team's ability.
