My husband entered Nightingales in April 2026, removed from a different home. The improvement we have seen in him has been remarkable. He is happy relaxed and more alive, this is without a doubt due to the care he has received. The staff are extremely kind, attentive and treat the residents with dignity.
Having experienced a traumatic time in the previous home I would not hesitate to recommend Nightingales.
Reply from Carole Harrison, Home Manager at Nightingales Nursing HomeThank you for your lovely review, I will share this with the team. I am glad you have noticed a difference in your husband and it is having such a positive impact on his wellbeing

My mum has been a resident in the home for 12 months. The initial transition from independent living to care home living was a difficult and emotional process for all of us but the professionalism and experience of the management helped us through it.
The care staff who look after mum on a day to day
basis are wonderful. They are so patient with all the residents (and visitors) and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I highly recommend them.

St Alban's Nursing Home

My father had never wanted to be in any sort of care/nursing home and I did not want that for him either. Unfortunately circumstances dictated that a nursing home was the only option for him. I chose this home after speaking to the social services "settlement" team literally the day before he landed.
I popped into the home to introduce myself. I got a full tour which illustrated how clean and organised it all was as well as being staffed by a lovely team.
My father can be a challenge so his first couple of weeks were not without bumps in the road but all managed by the team. As time has progressed he is more comfortable and relaxed. I am more comfortable as I know that he is safe. All the staff members are lovely with him despite his erratic behaviour. What I appreciate the most is that the staff treat him as an individual, each in their own way with warmth. He is convinced that he is in a hotel in his alternate universe. This is a a testament to the "service" he is receiving!.
Reply from Claire Ellwood, Matron at St Alban's Nursing HomeThank you so much, for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We truly understand how difficult the transition into care can be, and were so pleased that both you and your father feel more comfortable and reassured. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal, and were glad we can support him in a way that feels personal, warm, and safe.

My husband transferred to Nightingales from another local care home. I worried that he may find it difficult to settle in and to be honest I was apprehensive for myself. My worries were unfounded as we were made so welcome by all the staff, carers and admin alike. My husband soon settled in and is now
much happier. My grandson summed it up when he told me that it felt just like home.

My mum suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease and in February 2025 she moved to Nightingales, from a care home that was not providing the care she needed. My mum has complex behaviour and medical needs which require a lot of intervention. The staff who look after for mum are caring, compassionate,
understanding and show great empathy. The support I have received in respect of my mum's care has been second to none especially when having to deal with the complexities of the many different organisations of the Health and Care sector.
My mum is still very mobile and enjoys being outside, so weather permitting she goes on supervised walk which is really beneficial to her health and well being.
The home has regular activities and entertainment which the residents enjoy.
I am kept fully up to date about any health or other issues and I also have access to the detailed observation notes.
I have regularly witnessed the care the staff provide for the residents and the fun they share.
Reply from Carole Harrison, Home Manager at Nightingales Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. It is nice to know that you feel safe leaving your mum in our care and how well the staff look after her with compassion and understanding. Your feedback will be shared with the whole team-they will really appreciate it.

I love the fact that my uncle thinks of Nightingales Nursing Home as his home. He is so settled there, which is amazing given his reluctance to move from his happy home. It is a pleasure to visit him, he is always happy, well looked after and well kept, while keeping his individual style. The staffing
levels are amazing, as are the staff. The staff are always welcoming and know their clients, nothing is too much trouble for them, even when it's a time consuming task. The staff ensure everyone's nutritional needs and fluid intake are met. There is always a hot or cold drink and cake available in between meals (which my uncle loves). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to anyone, the decor maybe a little outdated but the care is excellent.
Reply from Carole Harrison, Home Manager at Nightingales Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We're truly pleased to hear that your uncle felt happy, respected, and well cared for. It means a lot to know you felt reassured during your visit and that you feel reassured that your uncle is well care for. Your feedback will be shared with the whole team-they will really appreciate it. We are currently completing a refurbishment plan and any feedback is welcomed.
Kind regards

My mum has been at Priory Park for best part of 4 years. I have NEVER smelt urine. I use the stairs at least 2 times a week. Never had a problem AT ALL..
Amanda and her team look after my mum as if she were family. She is well fed and watered by the brilliant care staff.
There is a GP very close
by and i believe they regularly visit the patients at PP.
My mother has complex needs and is cared for tremendously well.
Would highly recommend.
If I could give 6 stars I glady would! A

Friendly, polite, caring & approachable staff.
Taking into account the management, carers, cleaners, kitchen, laundry staff & maintenance.
The staff work as team & I think that's what makes the home so good.
The home is clean & they treat the patients like they would liked to be treated. There
is always something going on whether it's a movie afternoon or bingo etc.

We are informed of any changes, accidents or A&E visits straight away.

My dad has been a resident at Priory Park Care Home for almost a year now.I was surprised to see how quickly he had settled in.This was a relief to mum and I,after months of worrying and searching for the right care home to meet his needs. Its a lovely tastefully decorated home with excellent staff. All
members of staff are very welcoming and attentive to all residents and visitors. They keep me informed of any medical issues with regular updates on how he is doing.Dad really enjoys the home cooked meals they provide,as well as snacks in between meal times.Priory Park has high standards of cleanliness.Dads bedroom personalised with all his belongings, photos television, mini fridge etc.His room really is cosy and comfortable. It has a lovely outdoor space with a large patio and garden .Its great to sit out in especially when they put on entertainment, summer fairs etc.But just simply nice to get some fresh air ,have a cuppa and a chat whilst viewing the beautiful garden.Dad is content here.

Priory Park Care Home

My wife has Alzheimer's and, before coming to Priory Park she was in another care home which was unable to fully meet her needs. In particular there had been difficulties with her sleep pattern and surrounding behaviour which had resulted in my wife often sleeping in a recliner or armchair in a common
area rather than in her room. Also, she often displayed aggressive and challenging behaviour, in addition to which, due to severely impaired hearing and poor eyesight, communication was often extremely difficult, affecting all aspects of her care.
Due to the skills, knowledge, understanding, patience and compassion of the staff at Priory Park, there was a marked improvement in my wife's sleeping pattern, behaviour and general well-being within a matter of months This has continued over the two years that she has been there.
My wife's willingness and/or ability to meaningfully engage in organised activities at the home is limited but her interactions with staff are generally good.

My family and I highly recommend Priory Park Care Home. We have found management extremely well-informed, thoughtful and experienced in their care of dementia residents. Very efficient, caring, friendly and supportive with good communication when appropriate.
The staff interaction with the residents
together with all the various activities is supportive, friendly and compassionate. They all go 'the extra mile' to make residents as happy and content as possible. I know this all makes a huge difference to the quality of my husband's life.

Both of my parents have been at Priory Park care home for the last two years. All of the staff are wonderful and so caring. They know each individual resident so well and are able to identify their needs and react with care and compassion. Not only do they build an excellent relationship with the residents,
they also know the family and build a great relationship with them too.
The activities that take place are designed to engage the residents and residents are encouraged to take part. It certainly puts a smile on their faces when they are baking, gardening and interacting with therapy ponies.
Amanda, the care home manager, and her amazing team are always very approachable and keep me informed of any decisions with regard to my parents care and I am eternally grateful for their support through difficult times. Unfortunately, my dad passed away recently and the dignity and care that was shown to him during his end of life was faultless and was done with such understanding and compassion.

A truly wonderful care home where the care afforded to my parents is outstanding. The kindness and support shown to them at all times is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and we are always welcomed with a smile, a hello and the offer of a cup of tea!

The carers are always attentive, professional

and respectful. They make what is a very difficult period in ours and my parents' lives much more bearable. Their knowledge regarding caring for the elderly and those with dementia is outstanding.

Sadly my father passed away in the last 6 weeks and without doubt the support provided to my family made a very difficult time much easier to cope with. And my father was treated with such respect as he sadly neared the end of his life.

who have had relatives in residence for a lengthy period they have nothing but praise for all aspects of care.

Visiting my brother in law today, I witnessed kindness and a genuine love between the residents and staff. They are so knowledgeable about the residents that they can tap into core memories with them to help reassure and settle residents. I witnessed staff dancing with a resident and another sharing
her donut, which all the staff had as a celebration, she cut it into tiny slices and shared it with all the residents that were in her room.
There is constant laughter and always something happening. One resident was giving Ballroom lessons to all the staff. He was in his element.
I always leave here with reassurance and a full heart knowing my very poorly brother in law is respected and cared for by the most incredible team.

Choosing Pilling Nursing Home for my mum has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made. She has been here for ten months and recently celebrated her 98th birthday. From day one she was met with warmth, kindness, and genuine care.

Every member of the team is exceptional. Nothing is ever

too much trouble. From thoughtful snacks made up of my mum's favourites to the kindness, reassurance, and human connection, the care goes far beyond the practical.

Days are filled with caring interactions and meaningful activities, while individuality is respected - duvet days, late nights, and personal routines are accommodated. Residents are treated with dignity and compassion.

What matters most is the love and humanity shown every day. My mum is safe, known, comforted, and genuinely cared for. As a family, we have complete peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by people who truly care. Pilling is not just a nursing home - it is a caring community, and we are truly thankful.
