I suffer from severe mental health problems. The home accepted me at one of the lowest points in my life. They cared for me and all staff members are very helpful and caring. The room is big and I am able to move around freely. I am happy to be here and I thank everyone for looking after me well.

Mum has been a resident at Glen Arun for over 2 years. There were minor issues with the transition to the care home, however any gaps in the required processes have now been addressed by the change in management. Although quite weak and confused when she arrived at the care home, the staff have always
ensured that her best interests and personal requirements have been considered, and she is now happy in a regular daily routine. Communication with the management is clear so as a family we are always aware of what is planned and any medical concerns that they have, which gives us great peace of mind. Food is of a good standard, and residents are encouraged to take part in a range of activities. All staff are friendly and very welcoming when we visit. So, our overall experience is of an excellent care home which always has the residents' interests at its heart, and which is open and transparent in all its dealings with their relatives.
Reply from Jade Tauli, Deputy manager at Glen Arun Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful and positive feedback about mum's experience at Glen Arun.
We are delighted to hear that she has settled well and is happy in her daily routine. Your kind words about our staff, communication, food, and activities mean a great deal to us. We also appreciate your understanding during the earlier transition period and are pleased that the improvements made have had a positive impact. Providing care that is centred on each resident's best interests, while maintaining open and transparent communication with families, is very important to us. It is truly rewarding to know that this gives you peace of mind.
Thank you again, Joseph for your trust and support. We look forward to continuing to care for her and to working closely with your family.

We knew the care given by all the staff at Glen Arun was wonderful, as they look after my mother. Therefore, when my aunt and uncle (both in their 90s) needed to move out of their home into somewhere where they could received the care and support for both their personal and medical needs, Glen Arun
was the logical choice. They have now been there about 18 months and have really settled in well. They both enjoy the companionship of others in the Day Room and participating in the events with the staff. Even though we visit them several times a week, it's lovely to see them pop up in the Facebook posts enjoying themselves. On occasions when one or other is unwell and stays in bed, we know that there are staff checking on them regularly to make sure their needs are met. We cannot fault anything about the Care Home or the staff - they are all brilliant.
Reply from Jade Tauli, Deputy manager at Glen Arun Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to all of us at Glen Arun, and we take them with immense pride. It is incredibly rewarding to hear how well your family(Aunt &Uncle) settled in and how much they enjoy the companionship, activities, and day-to-day life within the home. Knowing that you feel reassured about the care and support they receive-especially during times when they are unwell-means everything to our team.

When visiting the staff are courteous and friendly. In the lounge staff are very patient with residents and attentive. Staff encourage residents to eat drink and join in with activities. Rooms are clean and clothes are hung up or put away properly. The menu shows that residents get wholesome familiar
food such as fish and chips, shepherds pie, roast dinner, syrup sponge and fruit crumble. A very homely home.

Genuinely caring staff. I know my mum is safe and well looked after. Mum is treated with dignity at all times. The food looks good and I like their routine of eating in a dining room. It's good that they aren't stuck in their rooms all day and are encouraged to use the lounge.

My mum came to Rosedale after a fall and was in hospital for a few weeks. This has been a difficult time as my sister died a few weeks before my mum's fall and so she was very low in herself already. Going to a care home filled her with anxiety and fear. The manager went to see her in hospital before
she was moved into the care home, and was very kind and reassuring to her. When she arrived she was anxious and a bit low and Alex, the manager and all the staff made sure that she was reassured and looked after. She said that she felt right at home the moment she arrived. She has settled amazingly quickly and is now getting involved in activities and engaging with the other residents. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved about all the above.
The home is warm friendly and very comfortable. All areas of the home are spotlessly clean There is a nice relaxed atmosphere. Her room is large, light and airy. She is very much treated as an individual with respect, and superb care!

My mum went into King's Court Care Home on 31st July 2024. She is living with dementia, and the first few months were understandably hard for both her and me as we adjusted. She has since lost her hearing, which makes communication very difficult, but the staff are patient and kind, and always find
a way to connect with her. Over the last 6 months she has really settled in and is genuinely happy. She now calls King's Court her home. She tells me that everyone likes her and that she likes everyone who cares for her, and I can see that's true. I am grateful to all the team for the care, compassion, and warmth they show every day.

My mother is resident at King's Court. She has challenging behaviour and the staff are always kind. They try to find ways to cope with her and liaise with the doctors aswell. The staff all appear to be kind & friendly, with smiles for everyone. Visitors appear to be welcome and are encouraged to join
in activities. The lack of ensuite facilities has been an issue.

This is an excellent care home and you would be hard put to find anywhere better in the UK geared up for residents with differing types of dementia. A very nice caring atmosphere, cozy, friendly and well run. The garden is lovely and perfect as it allows secure walking outside with minimal supervision.
There are regular activities organized and the individual rooms are well arranged on the three floors. All the staff are excellent and in their own way have individual characters which make it easy to engage with them when visiting.

My father spent 6 months in Glen Arun and the care and kindness he received was amazing.
During the last few weeks we were updated on his health frequently in the most caring and compassionate way.
On the days leading up to Dad's passing both he and our family were treated with dignity and kindness.
We
spent a lot of time with Dad during his stay and even at the end we could be there as long as we wanted with constant visits from nurses, carers, and the Manager.
I cannot fault this care home and everyone that works there

My mum was admitted to Glen Arun after a stay in hospital and the home environment was no longer suited to her care requirements. During her time at the care home she was cared for with dignity, respect & compassion. As a family we were constantly updated with any changes to mums care.
The fact that
all the staff are employed by the home and are not agency staff means there is a sense of pride & community among them. It also ensures a continuity of familiar faces for the residents, which helps to build a level of trust & friendship.
I only hope when my time comes, I am fortunate enough to receive the same level of care. Thank you everyone at Glen Arun.
