Overall Experience
Mum has been a resident at Beechwood Place for 3 months after a friend highly recommended it . During this time I would also highly recommend. I cannot fault any of the staff they are all without exception friendly, happy & caring. Mum has made some new friends & is extremely happy. She has been on some outings ,which was not
possible when she was at home due to mobility issues, which she has really enjoyed.

So if it was possible I would give more than 5 Stars.

We are really glad your mum has settled in so well, she is a big character within the home and we love her engaging in activities as much as she does.

All the staff are lovely with both of my parents. My dad needed to go in at short notice due to my mum being in hospital and the care received was amazing. It was a very upsetting time for me and my dad because I didn't think that I was ever going to have to put my dad in a home. All the staff; in the offices, nursing staff, care staff, kitchen staff and the people who cleaned all the laundry were and still are amazing. I can't thank them all enough for the help and reassurance they gave me. My mum is now in Beechwood too, due to her mobility and it is so nice knowing my parents are together and being well looked after 24/7. My mum tells me all the time how lovely everyone is and that she really loves it there. My dad has Parkinson's and Dementia and has a few bad days. They carers are great with him. I am so happy I chose Beechwood for my parents.

Beechwood Place Nursing is a warm and wonderful place for my mother to be. It has a lovely homely feel to it and is very bright and welcoming.
The team are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble whether it's for my mother or our family. They are respectful and courteous.

The home is bright and kept to a high standard and the rooms are beautifully done. The manageress has been absolutely exceptional.

Mum has been here for over twelve months since needing care after a stay in hospital. She is treated with care as an individual and activities are thoughtfully planned. The staff are wonderful; helpful, thoughtful and approachable. So glad we were fortunate enough to find a place for Mum here.

It was with great sadness when we had to put our Mum into a nursing home after she could no longer be cared for in her own home. She was there for nearly one year, during this time she was cared for as an individual, treated with dignity and love. All the staff have been fantastic with her, she forged some close relationships in that year, not something we were expecting. The home were not just there for her, but for our family. Nothing was too much for any of the staff, whether it was management, nurses, care assistants, catering staff, cleaners, laundry ladies, and not forgetting Wallis the dog who helped when Mum was upset or stressed. Mum particularly enjoyed her time crafting and the entertainment, and the wonderful day trips. At the end of her life the home made sure she was treated with the greatest care anyone could have given her. They came to her funeral to say a final goodbye, and told us some lovely stories about her. Words can't convey our gratitude for her care.

Reply from Jessica Middleton, Manager at Beechwood Place

Your mum was such a big character in the home and she is greatly missed. It was a pleasure to care for her and the team are very lucky to have a family that are so supportive of what we do and the activities we provide. We hope you will all stay in touch and drop in to visit.

After my dad had an admission to hospital I feel I wanted to review how well all the staff dealt with it. I was kept informed and upon my dad's return he was well looked after - he really struggled being in hospital but the care, kindness and ensuring all his needs were met when he returned to Beechwood were everything he needed.

On another note, my dad wants to add how much he likes the vending machine so he can treat himself (and me) to sweets/snacks/drinks. It's a little thing but a nice thing to have.

My mum has been at Beechwood for almost three years. She receives excellent care and is treated with dignity from all the staff. Recently, there has been lots of decorating and the home really is homely now. Mum's needs are assessed regularly and the activities are tailored to suit her. The food is always home cooked and served in a pleasing way. Mum eats a wide variety of meals and enjoys a good varied diet. The home feels safe but not like a prison. Safe and secure for all the residents. A fantastic team giving great care.

My dad has only been residing at Beechwood for a short time. The care given has been exceptional. All the staff are so caring and go above and beyond each day. The food is nutritious and homemade, and the kitchen staff are also friendly and dedicated. My dad had a bad experience in his previous care home - I am so grateful he was placed at Beechwood in the care of such a dedicated team, just wish he had come sooner. Dad sadly has become palliative and is given wonderful end-of-life care, with empathy, dignity and compassion. I cannot thank all the staff enough for all they have done and do. Amazing.

My wife has been a resident at Beechwood Place for over eight months. Beechwood is excellent and this is entirely due to all the staff who work incredibly hard to care and comfort all residents. I visit my wife daily and leave with peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

Thank you Beechwood.

Overall Experience

I often visit my cousin - I think she will have been in Beachwood Place for about 18/24 months. I visit regularly as I live in Norton. The last time I was there was Saturday last week. It was my cousin's birthday - this coming Wednesday 10th April, she will be 85 years old - I am 82 years old. It wasn't an open day like the Summer Fayer which I was taken there by my cousin's eldest daughter - it was a treat, she picked me up at my home and took me to Beechwood Place. We grew up in practically one family. The two families went everywhere together. Holidays, days at the seaside, and sleeping at each other's home. We grew up as one family. I will tell you a funny thing, she is left-handed and I am right-handed. She was a super drawer but no one to teach her to knit. She was like a person with 2 left feet.

Mum is very content living at Beechwood Place. She says that the food is very good and she has everything she needs. Mum really likes the staff and I have seen how friendly and genuine they are when they're talking to Mum. It would be useful to know 'who's who' as I'm not always sure who I'm talking to, but staff are helpful and the home has a 'calm' feeling to it.

My sister has a wonderful room - it is large, airy, light and there is a lovely big window looking out into the garden. The staff are excellent, cheerful, friendly and competent. I think this makes all the difference. The food is set very good, freshly prepared, healthy, and filling. This has contributed hugely to her well-being.

My sister has been in Beechwood Place for almost three months. I believe her to be settled and well cared for. She is confined to bed, but appears to be very comfortable. There is a hanging basket outside her window in which I planted some daffodils, otherwise the view is a brick wall with remembrance hearts attached. The staff are really lovely with her.
