View Full Details of The Spinney Nursing HomeResidents cared for very well, my mother seems very happy here. Staff are professional and very friendly. Always seems to have a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Residents go on day trips which they seem to enjoy, and are always doing different activities.
Mum has been a resident of The Spinney for 6 months. I'm very happy with the care provided. The staff work hard to provide a friendly, warm and caring environment for all residents. They also organise many activities inviting friends and relatives to participate . I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
Whilst visiting my mum. staff are always friendly and help my mum in anyway they can. One of the most important things is that staff and management are honest. It does not feel like a care home; it's like a large family living together.
My mother has been a resident at The Spinney Care Home for the past 3 years. I have been completely satisfied with the care given by all of the staff and management, and also the nursing and medical needs, which my mother has needed. Please pass on my sincere thank you to all staff at The Spinney.
We have found the care home to be excellent so far. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Walking into The Spinney care home when I first visited I felt it had a real good feel to it. The staff are all great with my Dad and he really did settle in straight away. The Spinney has really good communication with my brother via phone calls and myself via emails. Myself and all family members are overall happy with everything about the care home.
Mum has been a resident at The Spinney for over 18 months and myself and the family are more than happy with the care she receives. Mum is very content in the home and this is down to the care that she receives from each and every member of staff, all of who are very approachable when presented with any queries or requests we may have
The care and support provided by the staff is excellent and they treat the residents with dignity. The care home provides a homely feeling and it feels as though the residents and staff are one big family. The home is very clean but may look dated in some places due to the age of the building. There are plenty of activities for the residents to join in with and even events are organised at the home for residents and their family to attend. Management and staff go the extra mile to provide a positive and pleasant environment for it's residents. Individual rooms are clean and tidy, providing private space for each resident. Food is prepared fresh each day and residents get a small choice each mealtime and even the chef will offer an alternative if there is nothing on the menu that the resident likes. Overall the home feels safe and secure for the residents.
The staff (all) from kitchen staff, cleaners, carers and office staff are all friendly, they work as team not individuals. I have nothing but praise for how the care home is looking after my mother, it puts my mind at ease knowing how well Mum is being cared for, especially having dementia. Would recommend to anyone.
Very happy with care and attention of my husband nothing too much trouble, all carers lovely and do a lot to keep him happy.
The care given to my Mother-in-law is exceptional. When her social worker says its the best nursing home what better recommendation? My Mother-in-law is looked after as one of their own. My family are forever grateful for the care she is given.
My mum gets the best care. All the staff are fbulous. She is encouraged and supported to do the things she loves, especially singing Ave Maria and joining in with the activities. The activities coordinator is exceptional and has engaged all residents with a variety of different things to do; summer fayres, bingo, cinema days, Irish dancing (in which I participate). She has good care and the staff communicate with me on all aspects of her care.
I am very pleased with the care provided to my mother at The Spinney. She is very settled and I am sure this is due to the care and diligent concern that is shown to her by the staff and management in the home. I am pleased that I am kept well informed of any issues she may have, and this is done without delay. This is the third home my mother has been in due to closures, etc, and it is by far the best!
My Mum has been in The Spinney now for 5 years her care has been excellent most of the time, and we have seen many staff come and go. But they have all looked after Mum very well. We have tried a few care homes but it was a weight off our shoulders when she came to The Spinney. Mum is at end-of-life but she keeps on going, they treat her with respect and care.
When I moved into The Spinney Nursing Home I was very afraid of what was to come. How wrong I was. I have been cared for over the seven months I have been a resident. The nurse ensures my medication is delivered at the right time. The carers from the senior staff on the ward are truly caring. I would recommend this home to anyone for care and understanding.
Our parents seem settled in The Spinney. We have no qualms with regard to day-to-day care and meals. However, sometimes there seems to be a lack of communication with regard to some aspects of health needs. For example, Dad has been having trouble with his ears over the last few months. We have made enquiries with the staff regarding this, we believe someone has been out to see him but we only got to know through Dad. We also feel the matter of clothing needs addressing. We take clothes in for our parents to wear. But they end up wearing other residents' clothes even though they have been tagged.
My care has been on the whole very good, with rare exceptions, mainly due to breakdown in communication. The length that I have been here shows that on the whole, I am quite content here.
My cousin has been a resident at The Spinney for 12 months and has received excellent care and attention to his change of circumstances. Thank you.
My experience in the home is excellent. The staff are very caring and will help in any way they can. The food is very good.
My Gran had to stay here to get her confidence back after being in hospital. She was treated with so much respect and was encouraged to walk with the help of the carers. Every member of staff was amazing with her. Thank you for getting her back to where she was before.
Ample car parking and a lovely quiet location opposite a church. Never had to wait long for the doorbell to be answered. Lots of staff about, all of them are lovely people who enjoy their job. Older building creating a homely feeling. Lift access to various floors. Very clean. The food is quite adequate and appetising. Rooms are cosy and well decorated with call facilities and ensuite toilet.
