View Full Details of Farthings Nursing HomeMy mom in law became a resident of the farthings family during Covid times a scary time for all. The farthings team got her back on her feet after her illness and have done so many times over the years. As well as looking after mom in law they have been supportive to us over the years, during the darker times and fun times. The farthings are the best, the team, food, entertainment, hairdressing etc makes it a fantastic place to live, it takes a great deal of worry off us knowing she is safe and looked after.
When I visit the nursing home the staff always take time to say hello and make you feel welcome. Everywhere has bright lighting to give it a cheery feel and the rooms are cosy. The lounge is well used with something to do every day ( if you want to join in) and the residents all chat to each other and enjoy the entertainment . So a happy place which is very important for everyone X
My mum arrived at The farthings Nursing home back in september 2025. As a familiy we were welcomed into a warm busy enviroment. All members of staff are always there ro help and support. The residents always appear well looked after, clean happy and content. The activitys are fun and stimulating and enjoyed by all.
Recently one of my family friends have moved into the Farthings Nursing Home. When talking to the staff the informed me it has recently been taken over by a new owner. On entering the home. It is bright, clean and welcoming. The staff very friendly and accommodating. I helped my friend with their lunch and it was served lovely and fresh. The rooms and home is currently under renovation and what I seen no corners are being cut! The home doesn't smell and appeared to be well staffed! Keep up the good work!
From the moment my wife was admitted to The Farthings she was treated with respect, love, compassion and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble from all the staff, not only for my wife which was paramount, but also for my family. We were always welcomed with open arms with exceptional care love and understanding. The manager and her team truly go the extra mile in every respect, which made a difficult time so much easier. Exceptional people, first class facilities and, in my opinion, a leading example of how a nursing home should be managed.
My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and as a nurse myself, had always maintained that I would nurse him at home in his final days, unfortunately, I was unable to do this, and the social services in Blackpool were able to find my dad a place in this wonderful home. The staff, deputy manager and manager were amazing, their care I could not fault no matter what was asked of them they rose to the challenge. They not only care for dad but also his relatives who had gathered from all over the country, we stayed for a number of nights and they fed us and we were offered a never ending amount of fluids. Sadly my dad passed away, I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone looking for a care home, we can never thank them all enough. They all work so hard to ensure that all residents get the individualised care they deserve. You should all be very proud of what you have achieved. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
