My mother was admitted to Darnall Grange for rehabilitation following a very nasty fall. She has had excellent care and has gone from being unable to walk to being mobile with a frame in 3 weeks and is now back home. The carers have been excellent, very kind, always supervising residents in the
lounge. Great efforts were made to maintain hydration with fluid/drinks always available. The quality of food was good and appropriate. The home was spotless with cleaners present all the time. The overalll care was excellent.

My mum was a resident at Darnall Grange for 6 years and whilst there received nothing other than excellent care. The staff and management always treated their residents with care and dignity. Staff were always very welcoming and looked after mum really well.

My mother-in-law resided at Darnall for 1 year. During that time we were happy with the care she received. The home was clean and all of her needs were met. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. However we were disappointed to be informed that her residence was terminated by telephone whilst
we were out of the country on holiday. Staff felt they could no longer meet her needs due to the risk of falls. She is 94 years old and currently has nowhere to live!

Admitted 8/8/25 from hospital after broken femur surgery. I was booked into room 44 by an extremely professional lady. She was very efficient, friendly and surprisingly deaf aware. The latter a big plus as my family, genetically profoundly deaf and suffers the ignorance especially by the NHS. My
daughter in attendance is sensory operational head in the HNS and was extremely impressed by this lady's professionalism. The staff encountered were co-operative, efficient and always a smile on their faces. On my 1st night I couldn't sleep and had to all for assistance to the toilet 5 times and each time met with a smiley face! until leaving on 20/8/25 these same standards were maintained. The food was outstanding quality - yum! Even though I was glad to be leaving, there was a certain reluctance to leave! Briefly Darnell Grange was the 5* amongst all 5*'s. Thank you!

My dad following a fall was admitted to Darnall Grange Care Home 60hrs ago at the time of this review. The moment we all arrived 2.5 days ago following his discharge from hosp he has been treated with the upmost respect, dignity and care. The staff cannot do enough for you and to ensure you feel at
ease and involved. The Deaf awareness of staff was second to none! I'm so impressed and reassured knowing my dad is in the safe hands of this care home. The fact physios are available to support with his rehab & recovery programme means dad is determined to get back on his feet again. Our mum is already happy and settled knowing her husband of 60 years marriage is being looked after and in their safe hands. It's only been 2.5 days and already are minds are at rest Thank you for just being amazing and making this care home a home-from-home experience - we are truly thankful

The care home is such a caring and supportive place, not only for the family resident but also for the families. They make you feel welcomed and you know your family member will be totally looked after, cared for and secure. The residents are helped constantly, nothing is a problem, always there to
make sure your family member is comfortable, safe and as happy as they can be. We felt that we could relax knowing so much our family member was safe, and we could visit any time. The food was amazing, good choice and catered for everyone and their needs. I will greatly miss all the staff who looked after my dad.

Right from our first visit, we were impressed with Darnall Grange. The place itself is spotlessly clean, airy , pleasant and well-decorated. it's the staff, though, that make Darnall Grange such an exceptional place, and that made us more than happy to place our mother here. Everyone we met and
dealt with, no matter their role or rank within the organisation, was exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and you could tell that all staff genuinely cared for those in their charge, and treated everyone as an individual; with warmth, respect and a genuinely sunny disposition. We would not hesitate to recommend Darnall Grange.

I would like you to know that care home I have been given excellent care to me whilst staying at Darnall Grange. All the staff have been excellent from nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and everyone been so kind and caring to me. I have heard so many bad stories about care homes but this one
gets 100%. One of my friends also stayed here and she told me that this is the best care home. Staff always have a smile and they treat me with dignity and respect. Thank you to management for having care staff at Darnall Grange.

The staff are absolutely brilliant, so friendly, helpful and jolly. The home is clean and very well run. The food is very good and nothing is too much trouble. Good atmosphere, parking is good. The rehabilitation isn't as intensive as I would have liked for my husband but they were very caring.

I have always found this care home to be excellent and I am more than happy with excellent care that my mother receives. The staff are very caring and kind and they treat my mother with respect and dignity. I am always kept up to date if my mum has any issues. I would highly recommend this home to

My brother was a resident at Darnall Grange for over a year. I can not praise the staff enough for the excellent care given to him by not only the carers but nursing staff and house keeping.

My dad was discharged from the hospital to Darnall Grange Care Home into a rehab bed. The staff team all made the effort to care and meet all of Dad's personal and medical needs. Dad became a resident in Sept/Oct and had his final days there. Dad was happy and safe and my sister and I were also
cared for by all staff which helped us enormously. We will be forever grateful to the team there. We cannot thank them enough.

I have had a great expereince while here. The staff carers and physiotherapists have all been amazing towards me. I have been treated with respect and compassion the whole time I have been here. With encouragement and patience, I have been able to get some of my mobility back. I am very grateful to

My husband has been a resident at Darnall Grange Care Home for 8 months now. I believe that under the excellent care manager, the team provide a high standard of care to the residents. I visit almost daily and have observed genuine kindness and consideration by the carers. The staff are welcoming
and I am always offered a drink. The staff encourage families to dine with the residents which I do on a regular basis. The food is freshly prepared and varied. A big thank you to the whole team.
