I have visited many care homes, some very recently and can honestly say that I have never been in one that is so welcoming as Holly Bank. It is like walking into a hotel! Tastefully decorated and I have never been greeted with any unpleasant smells that are often associated with care homes.
Additionally I can see from the posts on social media that the meals look very appetising.
A lot of thought goes into preparing meals that take into account of special occasions and current events.
Outside entertainment is brought in for the residents and they are encouraged to join in.
I have only seen inside my friend's room which is more than adequate for her needs, but I'm sure that all of the other rooms are above standard.
The only bad comment I can make is that I have lived outside of the area for many years so it would be difficult for me to secure a place there when the time comes. I doubt I would find one where I live that meets the standards kept up to at Holly Bank.

My dad looked around Hollybank last week, and moved in yesterday. I have to say, it is, without doubt, the loveliest Care Home I've ever visited or worked at. Every single member of staff introduced themselves to myself and dad, making us both feel so welcome. It is such a huge change for us, and it
will take time for dad to adapt and get used to a new way of life, but he is already loving his fabulous ensuite room and now he has his new tv sorted, he is feeling more relaxed! Nothing is too much for the staff here, always happy to have a chat and a laugh. The owner, Daniel, is also really approachable, and wants to know about what the residents will like and what will make them happy. So far, absolutely amazing! Thank you for making such a difference - it really feels like a family home and not a care home.

The staff at holiday bank Care Home are one of the best in the business the care home is not like I care home it is like a home they really look after the residents and they ask for nothing I would recommend anyone to fetch their parents here At least you'll know They are looked after Properly And

A pleasant, well decorated home but most importantly, to quote my father, "all of the staff are very kind and caring."
As his son I am confident that the care given is as good as it can be. If he is unable to return ti his own I will be happy for him to remain here.

My nana has been in Hollybank since 2018, all of the staff are fantastic they genuinely seem to care about all the residents it's not just a job to them.
It's a very well looked after building. It's always clean and a very nice place for the residents to live.
The foods looks very nice the staff
are very kind to the visitors too they make you welcome you don't ever feel like your in the way when visiting.
They always have something nice going it's a nice place to be! I can't speak highly enough and would recommend them Thank you for taking the best care of our nana

Mum has been resident at Holly Bank since 2018 and our family feel lucky that she has a home here. The home is very clean and nicely decorated and the food appetising. Mum started to gain weight as soon as she started to live here as she was eating regular meals again. Staff have such a great
relationship with her and recognise her needs so well. We are all made to feel so welcome when we visit and its always lovely and warm and feels a safe place to live. It feels like one big family and staff go beyond their duties to keep residents happy...so well done to the whole team!

My father had no experience of care homes and was very nervous about his first, but the the team at Holly Bank made his transition from his own home to their care so smooth. He is still there, and is very happy. Wonderful team and wonderful care home.

My mum has enjoyed living at Holly Bank since June '25, and I feel lucky to have found it. The team not only treats my mum like their family member, we're welcomed as part of the team too. In addition to being warm and safe (with lots of space and lovely decor), it is homely - buzzing with chat and
activity for those who enjoy it, and with quiet, peaceful areas too. The team manages the 24-hour medical, emotional and practical needs of residents with real professionalism, but much more than that, they do it with warmth, respect and a proper sense of fun. I thought mum would want to stay in her room, but she certainly doesn't. She is thriving on being with others and really enjoys dining together. It gave me such joy when she didn't want to chat with me because she was too busy 'having fun playing a ball game with my friends'. I gladly recommend Holly Bank.

HollyBank is run extremely well by Natalie & her team. Their many years of experience & high level of care are apparent. They take safety & security very seriously, which we feel is important.
They are friendly, professional and always welcoming. The majority of staff have been there a number of
years and go above & beyond.
The home is beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The food is always good too, another important factor.
Our relative went there on the recommendation by friend's, whose mum was there and is extremely happy.
It is the best choice by far in our opinion. My family are extremely grateful to HollyBank for their ongoing dedication and care.
I would go as far as to say the place is exemplary.

Really lovely welcoming care home, made Christmas so lovely for residents with nice decorations and wide range of activities plus lovely food/snacks, staff are just lovely so friendly, committed and constantly hard working, every member of the team takes good care of all residents an are a credit

My Mum moved into Holly Bank last month. Natalie and the team are wonderful. They treat Mum and the other residents with so much love and respect. My sister and I visited many care homes before choosing Holly Bank and we knew straight away it was a special place.
I particularly like that Mum is
always downstairs with other residents and staff (and not alone in her room other than for sleeping at night).
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Holly Bank to anyone wanting a 'family home' style setting for their loved ones. The care feels very personalised and has allowed my Mum to move into a new phase of life that may not have been wanted or planned, but one she is able to enjoy and where she feels safe and happy.

Totally impressed by amazing support mum has received from all carers since she arrived at Holly Bank, staff are so kind, supportive and provide constant help to all, they definitely go above and beyond their duties to make residents comfortable and happy, despite demanding roles every member of the
team is always friendly and helpful.
Throughout Dec they provided an excellent range of entertainment and activities to get all residents involved, an ready to celebrate Christmas as one family, it's been lovely.
I would be happy to recommend HB to any family seeking care for a loved one, it's very reassuring to know Mum is safe 24/7 an so well looked after.

My husband and I placed my Mother In Law with Holly Bank as we felt that Holly Bank has a very caring and supportive team working there. We had looked at several homes within the area and Holly Bank was, to us, so much more than a Care Home. It felt so homely and such a beautiful building with
comfortable, well decorated rooms.
We found the staff to be very caring and supportive to our Mother and to us. They made the transition easy and our Mother was made to feel very welcome.
If you are thinking about this Home for your relative, do not hesitate, they are wonderful.

Dad had to go into care Christmas 2024 after leaving hospital he had a few months in a care home recommended by Calderdale and he deteriorated as they didn't have the staff to cope with his needs.
We were served notice and had to find another home that could cope with his dementia and lack of
mobility needs. Thankfully we found Holly Bank. The day we walked in to have a look around we were amazed by the standard of the building facilities and the room given to Dad it was 5 Star Hotel quality. More importantly than the building the staff are amazing they really do care for every resident and keep them engaged rather than leaving them alone in their rooms.
Dad has settled in very well he has had some ups and downs health wise but the staff have been amazing.
Highly recommend Holly Bank.

The staff at Holly Bank are a credit to the owners are friendly, positive and encouraging. We chose this care home to be close to family and the staff have been accommodating and cheerful with all our family when we visit. The rooms are lovely with TV's, tasteful decor and throughout the home there
is photographic artwork depicting Calderdale's finest architecture. En-suite bathrooms are safe and well organised with floor-level showers The beds are orthopedic beds and can be raised and lowered and fitted with aids to get in and out of bed. Safety of residents is prime with the option of pads to alert staff that residents have got up to use the en-suite and a regular nightly check is carried out.
My dad has enjoyed his food and endless cuppas and has regained enough strength to go home. He wanted to be able to go home and Holly Bank did everything they could to get him fit enough to leave. During his stay the family have felt confident that he is safe, happy and well-cared for.

Excellent Residential Care Home, warm and friendly manager, staff and owner.
Before my parents arrived, their room had been thoroughly cleaned with new carpet, curtains, lamps, chairs and bedding.
On arrival we were greeted with flowers and a tray of tea
The home is extremely clean, nicely
decorated and maintained, located in a peaceful and tree lined neighborhood looking across Saville Park.
Staff are caring, friendly and professional.
My parents are well cared for with grooming and their appearance is well maintained.
Meals are appetizing and nutritious, my parents have gained weight!
Meals are eaten in a lovely dining room which boasts a bar!
Daily afternoon activity encourages residents to get involved with each other.
The manager is very responsive to any questions and concerns.
The owner is caring and endeavors to provide a very pleasant and cozy homed.
I and all my family highly recommend Holly Bank and greatly appreciate the care given to my parents.

My mother lived at the home for just over 2.5 years and experienced a great level of care. The staff were remarkably good to her health, mood and mobility improved almost immediately on moving there. I honestly believe that we would have lost her much sooner had she not experienced such wonderful
care.
Mum passed away in the home in March 2024 and her last days were handled with the utmost care, respect and love. We felt that she was really cared for by people who knew her and wanted the very best for her. It was a great comfort to her family that she was offered such excellent care which met her needs and respected her wishes.

I feel ok, a nice calming and relaxing atmosphere here at Holly Bank Care Home. The staff are approachable, friendly and professional. My mum is settled and appears to be well looked after. The home is clean, fresh and looks nice.

Each time I visit Holly Bank to see Mum, I am met with fantastic, friendly staff who are genuinely happy to be working there and really do care for the residents. I am always blown away by the improvements the owner makes to the home. It really feels more like a boutique hotel than a care home with
the gorgeous improvements he has made. Due to the distance I have to travel (8 or 9 hours each way!) to see Mum, the staff are great at helping set up a video chat session with Mum once or twice a week and I can see Mum is comfortable, content and very well cared for by staff she knows, likes and trusts. Holly Bank is run efficiently by a very capable and personable manager who leads her staff very effectively from what I can see. It is very notable that very many of the staff have been at the home for many years and enjoy working there. Thank you to all of you amazing folk!

I found the home very caring, with friendly staff. The only thing that let it down was there were no plugs in the sink in the bathroom and no hot water.
