Holly Bank Care Home is a small care home situated within the Saville Park area of Halifax. Holly Bank is close to all local amenities, bus stops and shops, and is a 5 minute walk away from Calderdale Royal Infirmary.

The Staff Team support people over the age of 65. There is an easily accessible newly renovated outdoor seating garden area, with Manor Heath Butterfly Park situated on the opposite side of the road.

The Support Team aims to deliver a range of residential care services, including respite care, and long term care for those who can no longer look after themselves.

The Support Team will take care of new clients as if they were family members at Holly Bank, and are ready to welcome you.

My husband and I placed my Mother In Law with Holly Bank as we felt that Holly Bank has a very caring and supportive team working there. We had looked at several homes within the area and Holly Bank was, to us, so much more than a Care Home. It felt so homely and such a beautiful building with comfortable,
well decorated rooms.
We found the staff to be very caring and supportive to our Mother and to us. They made the transition easy and our Mother was made to feel very welcome.
If you are thinking about this Home for your relative, do not hesitate, they are wonderful.
Thank you so very much to all the staff for their friendship and patience with both our mother and us.

Dad had to go into care Christmas 2024 after leaving hospital he had a few months in a care home recommended by Calderdale and he deteriorated as they didn't have the staff to cope with his needs.
We were served notice and had to find another home that could cope with his dementia and lack of mobility
needs. Thankfully we found Holly Bank. The day we walked in to have a look around we were amazed by the standard of the building facilities and the room given to Dad it was 5 Star Hotel quality. More importantly than the building the staff are amazing they really do care for every resident and keep them engaged rather than leaving them alone in their rooms.
Dad has settled in very well he has had some ups and downs health wise but the staff have been amazing.
Highly recommend Holly Bank.

The staff at Holly Bank are a credit to the owners are friendly, positive and encouraging. We chose this care home to be close to family and the staff have been accommodating and cheerful with all our family when we visit. The rooms are lovely with TV's, tasteful decor and throughout the home there
is photographic artwork depicting Calderdale's finest architecture. En-suite bathrooms are safe and well organised with floor-level showers The beds are orthopedic beds and can be raised and lowered and fitted with aids to get in and out of bed. Safety of residents is prime with the option of pads to alert staff that residents have got up to use the en-suite and a regular nightly check is carried out.
My dad has enjoyed his food and endless cuppas and has regained enough strength to go home. He wanted to be able to go home and Holly Bank did everything they could to get him fit enough to leave. During his stay the family have felt confident that he is safe, happy and well-cared for.

Excellent Residential Care Home, warm and friendly manager, staff and owner.
Before my parents arrived, their room had been thoroughly cleaned with new carpet, curtains, lamps, chairs and bedding.
On arrival we were greeted with flowers and a tray of tea
The home is extremely clean, nicely decorated
and maintained, located in a peaceful and tree lined neighborhood looking across Saville Park.
Staff are caring, friendly and professional.
My parents are well cared for with grooming and their appearance is well maintained.
Meals are appetizing and nutritious, my parents have gained weight!
Meals are eaten in a lovely dining room which boasts a bar!
Daily afternoon activity encourages residents to get involved with each other.
The manager is very responsive to any questions and concerns.
The owner is caring and endeavors to provide a very pleasant and cozy homed.
I and all my family highly recommend Holly Bank and greatly appreciate the care given to my parents.

My mother lived at the home for just over 2.5 years and experienced a great level of care. The staff were remarkably good to her health, mood and mobility improved almost immediately on moving there. I honestly believe that we would have lost her much sooner had she not experienced such wonderful care.
Mum
passed away in the home in March 2024 and her last days were handled with the utmost care, respect and love. We felt that she was really cared for by people who knew her and wanted the very best for her. It was a great comfort to her family that she was offered such excellent care which met her needs and respected her wishes.

I feel ok, a nice calming and relaxing atmosphere here at Holly Bank Care Home. The staff are approachable, friendly and professional. My mum is settled and appears to be well looked after. The home is clean, fresh and looks nice.

Each time I visit Holly Bank to see Mum, I am met with fantastic, friendly staff who are genuinely happy to be working there and really do care for the residents. I am always blown away by the improvements the owner makes to the home. It really feels more like a boutique hotel than a care home with
the gorgeous improvements he has made. Due to the distance I have to travel (8 or 9 hours each way!) to see Mum, the staff are great at helping set up a video chat session with Mum once or twice a week and I can see Mum is comfortable, content and very well cared for by staff she knows, likes and trusts. Holly Bank is run efficiently by a very capable and personable manager who leads her staff very effectively from what I can see. It is very notable that very many of the staff have been at the home for many years and enjoy working there. Thank you to all of you amazing folk!

I found the home very caring, with friendly staff. The only thing that let it down was there were no plugs in the sink in the bathroom and no hot water.

I have spent 5 years here. My carers are without fault. My meals are very tasty and usually are given a choice. All the carers are very kind and helpful.

The lovely staff at Holly Bank have been caring for my aunt for the past eight years.
Sadly she died in the home in November 2023 at the age of 99, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, responsive and caring. They looked after my aunt and us so well in her last days, thank you.

A great start as my parent arrived yesterday for respite care. We were all made very welcome. She settled into the room and despite her huge anxiety at moving in she said she liked the room. All staff were very welcoming and we loved how my parent was given choices and made her own decisions. She had
a welcome bottle of sherry and a card and we left her feeling secure and reassured.
We feel we could ask anything without any concerns. Thank you for such a great start to her stay.

The home welcomed my cousin with open arms. They were caring and professional at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble. He was particularly demanding - due mainly to diminishing powers of understanding - but the home were not phased by it and handled him with love land kindness. I cannot praise
the patience of the management and staff enough. A fantastic home from home with caring, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Thank you Holly Bank Care Home for all you do for your residents. You provide a happy and safe environment for them all.

Mum had been in hospital following a series of falls and wasn't ready to be at home but didn't need to be in hospital.
We were made very welcome as we arrived and I was shown to Mum's room whilst she relaxed with a cup of tea. Her room was clean and freshly decorated with nice touches such as a reclining
armchair and throws.
The rest of the home has been upgraded or in the process of being upgraded and is akin to a boutique hotel! Nothing is too much trouble for the requirements of the residents.
As I came to visit Mum, any member of staff who I hadn't met before came and introduced themselves, which I felt was a nice thing to do. Anytime I needed to speak to a member of staff or the management, there was never an issue and they were happy to answer any questions or resolve any issues.
Sadly Mum's health deteriorated rapidly but Holly Bank were happy to continue to care for her which they did with kindness and compassion until she passed away four days later. Thank you Holly Bank!

My dad has been at two other care homes prior to coming to Holly Bank, he truly feels likes he's at home and respected by the caring team. The staff are attentive to his needs and the management team have been fantastic at helping him settle in. I can’t not thank Holly Bank for giving us as a family
peace of mind. My dad also was able to select the decoration for his bedroom including wallpaper.

The staff are well-trained, kind and efficient. I have had experience of this home for 12 years and most of the staff are still there from 12 years ago. The home is clean, well-furnished and up-to-date. The residents are clean and very well cared for. The food is also very good and there is always a
choice. Residents’ rooms are light, clean and airy. Management and staff work well together and everyone knows their roles. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I am a regular volunteer at Holly Bank. From the minute you walk in the door you can feel the homely atmosphere. All the staff are very welcoming and I can tell they are passionate about their jobs and caring for the residents. When I'm speaking to the residents they all say they are very happy at Holly
Bank and feel very well cared for. The home is very clean and very well looked after. Really couldn't fault it and I'd be happy to put my own family in the home if ever needed
