My mother was a resident for just under 2 years. In that time she found all the carers so thoughtful and supportive. The nursing care was very diligent, working closely with GPs. The atmosphere at Gledhow Care Home is very friendly to all family, visitors and residents. All I can say is thank you

My mother passed away in February after a long struggle with dementia. She had also been a resident in another MHA care home. My experience of Mum's care at Gledhow was exemplary. I could go into the home and would be recognised, told what my Mum had been up to in the last couple of days and was
constantly reassured that staff were seeing her not as a resident but as a human being. Her room was comfortable and safe, reflecting her need for specific bed arrangements due to her lack of mobility. A nurse was always available for me to discuss how Mum had been, and the receipt of a monthly call was also welcome and reassuring. Myself and my brother could only really ask for reassurance that Mum was safe, well looked after and stimulated through the comprehensive activities programme and we got that in abundance. Her passing was very peaceful and calm and again I feel that was down to the care she received.

Mum has been at Gledhow MHA since September 2025 and she has been so well looked after and cared for. Staff are very polite and ready to help and advise us about mum's care - thank you.

Within the last 2yrs we have gone from, assisted living, to residential and now with moms health changing we was on the lookout for the perfect nursing home. We came across Gledhow and on entering the home was greeted with warmth + welcome and know we'd found the perfect home for mum. Beautiful
room, kept clean + tidy, lovely caring staff and management and all very approachable. The care and compassion shown to our mum is remarkable. We couldn't of wished for anywhere better.

My mother spent the last weeks of her life at Gledhow. The staff treated mum with total dignity and respect throughout her stay, and even after death the care they showed to her body, and the guard of honour that was provided when the body was being collected, will live with me forever... I thank
the team wholeheartedly and will be forever grateful.

Our family have been incredibly impressed with the level of care our father has received at Gledhow Nursing Home. Communication is excellent. The environment is warm, homely, welcoming and feels like a family. He was made to feel extremely comfortable and very well looked after. The food was

My friend was treated with kindness and dignity from the moment she arrived until the moment she left. She was very happy being cared for here and I would recommend this care home without hesitation.

My wife has advanced dementia and has been in Gledhow for over two years. She has Alzheimer's, Vascular Dementia and Aphasia, so has lost her memory almost completely, has limited understanding and her speech is mostly gibberish, so she now needs everything to be done for her. The staff get her up
each day, shower her, dress her, help her to the lounge and make sure she is comfortable there and help her with her meals. The staff are all pleasant, hard-working and helpful and deal with the many problems that arise with residents in a calm and sympathetic way. The fact that you can visit at any time without an appointment illustrates that the home really has nothing to hide, and I am very happy that my wife is there and is so well cared for.

My dad has advanced dementia and can sometimes display challenging behaviour. The whole team at MHA Gledhow have taken this in their stride and provide regular updates. They also contact myself and my mum directly to discuss his ongoing needs and staff are available to have a catch up when we visit
the home. My family and I have seen how hard working and dedicated the staff are and we are very happy with how he has been looked after at the home.

My wife came to Gledhow for 2 weeks respite. I have to say the nurses and care staff were outstanding. My wife very much enjoyed her stay with you and the staff had time to talk with her. My wife is looking forward to her next respite.

My wife is terminally ill with dementia and I'm glad she is at Gledhow because they take care in a holistic approach. They don't only look after my wife, they care for me as well. The management advices are spot on and help us both those difficult times. All the staff are wonderful, worrying,
professional and very friendly always with a big smile in their faces. I'm actually lost of words to praise this place. I'm glad my wife is going to end her life here because of professionalism, dignity and compassion. Thank you all for the caring of us.

Since being admitted here I have only met with respect kindness and friendship. The staff have been obliging and considerate to my comfort. My room has been pleasant and comfortable, meeting all my needs. The carers have overseen all my needs and the medical staff my necessary medication. I have
been impressed by the quality and variety of the meals. My compliments to you two excellent chefs. I shall miss you all!

My husband stayed in Gledhow Care Home so I could have 2 weeks of much needed respite. He fell ill again whilst there, having suffered regular bouts of illness at home. The staff contacted me as soon as they were concerned and supported him through his final illness. They were thoughtful, caring and
sensitive, ensuring the very best of care for him. My family and I will always be grateful to them for their kindness and support.

When it came time for our loved one to move into a care home, we wanted to find a place that felt like more than just a facility- somewhere that truly cared about the well-being of its residents. Gledhow care home exceeded all expectations.
From the moment we first visited, it was clear that
Gledhow is a special place. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and comforting, which immediately put us at ease. The space was cosy, well-kept, and thoughtfully arranged, offering both privacy and social spaces.
What really sets Gledhow apart though, is the staff. Every team member I encountered was not only professional but also genuinely caring and compassionate. It was clear that they treated the residents with respect and dignity.
They went above and beyond, especially when my friend passed away, whether offering a kind word or just taking the time to chat and keep spirits high. They were also very helpful in helping us speed up the funeral process which was greatly appreciated.

This is my second review. My friend has now been a resident in the nursing home for nearly 2 years and the care she receives is second to none. I cannot praise the staff enough. The food always looks delicious and she wants for nothing.

My mum stayed at the nursing home from December to March 2025 and her care was absolutely outstanding from all staff involved. From her daily care, food and her personal care too. Two carers were absolutely amazing with mum and her medical needs, they were always met fully. Everything was always
explained fully too whilst offering support and making sure we as a family all fully understood. They explained everything that was happening and why. We really appreciated their daily checking in with Family on visits and offering of support when upset too.
This was a very difficult journey for all family involved but was made slightly easier with support from them all at the home. Highly recommend to anyone especially after we struggled with placing mum in a home until we had to.

After my 90 yr old Mum became very ill, both her & my 93 year old Dad (with dementia) were assessed very quickly & admitted the next day for 2 weeks restbite. This gave us chance to look around. The care they were given was excellent & the staff lovely & very friendly.

My mum received amazing care at Gledhow. The staff recognised her as an individual and got to know her despite her advanced dementia. They treated her with dignity and warmth and we're hugely grateful.
