View Full Details of Barchester Castle Keep Care HomeOur lovely mum has been at castle keep 10 years now with various diseases and illnesses, seizures being one of them, while I was with mum she had a seizure and a member of staff who has many years of experience under her belt and looked after my mum,got mum comfortable where she would feel safe and cared for,I always know when this member of staff is on as it's the little things to anyone else but big to mum and us,she has the patience and gives it her all in any situation, I know that if my lovely mum could talk she would thank her so much for all of this, the hugs, kisses, and stroking her head when she's poorly . There are ups and downs wherever you go but you can't put a price on being passionate and you have either got it or you haven't so I applaud her and all the staff there that love their job because that's what it's all about.
I popped in to see and old friend who has recentley had a stroke. I was so impressed with the place security, cleanliness, friendly staff; and taking the time out to give me some clear advice about my friend going forward. I feel much better knowing my friend will spend a lot of his future time at Barchester knowing he will recieve the best care he deserves. I have friend who work in the caring sector & a lot of homes are quite rightly slated but Barchester they need to be praised. Keep up the good work.
2 1/2 months ago my husband was transfered from a care home that really did not know how to care for someone with addvanced dementia. He was physically ill as well as mentally. Today he is a changed man. His health has improved 100% and although the dementia cannot be altered, he is now cheerful, chatty & always smiling, which is his natural personality coming through. We are full of thanks to the wonderful carers & staff at Castle Keep. Keep up this wonderful work that you do.
My husband is well cared for and the staff are all very good and friendly and helpful and kind.
Excellent, caring and friendly.
Our father has been in Barchester Castle Keep Care Home now for a year. I would like to say, what absolutely amazing staff take care of him. With dementia causing behaviour difficulties, it cannot be easy dealing with unexpected occurrences. The staff do everything with a smile and encouraging words showing real care and commitment. In my estimation, they go above and beyond every day. A credit to their profession. Cannot praise them enough. The manager is also only too happy to discuss anything with the family. 5 star service. Thank you so much.
I felt visiting the home was the right one, clean and bright, staff friendly and professional, very organised and work together as a team. Always feel a warm welcome when visiting my husband. The care given is excellent, always ready to support and encourage the residents.
The staff are absolutely marvellous, they are all so friendly and they can not do enough for the residents or visitors for that matter. The building is kept very clean, pleasant surroundings, the food is lovely and most importantly, my wife is very happy.
I am happy with the care and support my father-in-law receives. Staff work extremely hard and often understaffed. Laundry is an issue, all Father-in-law's clothes/bedding are all named, would appreciate only named items being put in his room as ends up wearing other clothes. Staff are all very helpful and caring, they are so good with Father-in-law and cheer him up if he's down. Thank you.
All carers/staff are very caring and work extremely hard to look after my husband. At times, I feel they are understaffed and chasing around. Now it is nicer weather, is nice residents get outside but again, can't if short staffed. We like the activities you do, it would be helpful if my husband, at times, could mix with residents in Nightingale.
My husband and I have recently had a couple of tries out on the minibus to different garden centres. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. From the moment we left the nursing home, we were both treated with first-class care and consideration from the moment we left to the time we returned. We certainly hope there will be more trips out offered. Thank you for all you do.
On my visit, before Dad became a resident, I can’t fully describe my feelings but Castle Keep blew my mind. It was open, airy, with lots of space, calm and homely, the other residents and staff were all at ease. It was so welcoming, I immediately felt at ease. The residents were clean and relaxed and the staff all interacted with residents, one in particular sticks in my mind forever, she was sitting on a sofa, a resident's legs resting on her as she gently rubbed them, this was definitely the place for Dad. I felt the love and care right there. All the staff are amazing, their expertise, knowledge, care, and advice is invaluable. Dad is so settled and this is entirely due to them and their dedication. They keep us informed on everything, with help, advice and honesty, not only looking after Dad but us too, nothing is too much, they have set our minds at ease so many times, full of support and compassion, and we can’t thank them enough. I appreciate every one of them, I’m so happy Dad has found his forever home with them.
My partner has been a resident at Castle Keep Care Home for nearly four years in both Nightingale and Willow. I have nothing but great respect for all carers and staff who tirelessly provide the much-needed care my partner requires. Castle Keep is a very homely place to visit, the staff are lovely and always so welcoming. I am always informed of any unforeseen incidents regarding my partner's wellbeing for which I am most grateful. I have absolutely no problem with my partner remaining in their care.
I would like to say I am very happy with all aspects of the care given to my husband. The staff are excellent in their caring attitude, the accommodation is clean and tidy and the food is good. The doctor's facilities are good and overall standards are good.
I am pleased with my husband's care, he always looks clean and tidy. Nothing is too much trouble for your nursing staff carers. Activities are good and we get taken out which my husband loves. My only problem is his laundry. I label everything but some go missing.
This is a lovely facility, it is lovely and clean, and all the staff are amazing and have made my partner feel totally at home. Nothing is too much trouble. The manager is great and you can talk to her about anything. I feel totally comfortable placing my partner here.
My brother is a very hard person to please but as I write this he is very happy with the care and the people at the home. As a sister I am pleased with it all, he gets really looked after.
My mum is receiving amazing care at castle keep, everyone of the staff not only give my mum a* care they also look after us when we are there and make us feel so welcome and relaxed when we visit. It really is a pleasure. I obviously never wanted my mum to come into a care home but it has been made so much easier knowing she is receiving amazing care.
My father has only been a resident for 3-months after coming from another home. He seems a lot more settled here, and the staff have a lot to do with that. I know he isn't always easy to handle, but the staff are professional and kind. They put my mind at ease with how they care for him. Thank you
Laundry - Lose clothing and bedding even when name on it. The staff are angels so glad my husband is with you.
