The whole team should be applauded. Thank you for the compassionate way in which my dad was treated during the almost 2 years he was at the home. I witnessed many acts of kindness, not only towards him but other residents whilst I visited. All I can say is 'care' home is definitely the right term to
use for The Valleys.

Our mum & dad (passed away in October) have been in The Valleys for 3 years. The home, management, and staff have been amazing. Very supportive, caring, and always approachable. I can honesrtly nor thank them all enough for everything they have done for my mum and Dad.
Very thankful for all they
have done and continue to do for Mum.

All the staff, carers and management team at The Valleys go above and beyond. Long after I return home abroad, I will remember the many moments of care, kindness and connections I have experienced with you all - and of course in the way you have cared for my mum. Thank you from the bottom of my
heart for everything. I have huge admiration and appreciation for all that you do and I am touched to recognise the difference you make to the well being of our older folk, meaningful work indeed!

All staff go 'above and beyond' the care needed for residents, surroundings are lovely and bedrooms spacious. Food is excellent and all residents are able to choose what they prefer daily. All visitors are made very welcome and are able to visit at any time.

I always love coming to the home, from walking in. The reception staff are fantastic. They are always so helpful. The manager is always there for me. The carers are lovely and it feels like a home from home. What a wonderful place.

My Mum was placed in The Valleys by the Council. Within a month she had lost a lot of weight and had deteriorated rapidly. Approximately one month after entering the care home she then had three falls in one day. She ended up in Hospital for many weeks and was eventually discharged into another care
home. She is now in a very bad way and will not recover. I requested an investigation into what happened and it is clear from the official safeguarding investigation report by the Council that my Mum was not kept adequately hydrated. The report states that my Mum was offered only 400ml of fluid on the days leading up to her falls. The target is 1500ml per day. The report states that there are inconsistencies in the amount of fluid offered to my Mum before her falls, with as little as 300ml being offered some days. The Valleys were asked for the reasons and simply ignored the request for information from the Council.

The Valleys Care Home is an excellent care home for my wife who has Alzheimer's disease. The staff are very caring and understanding of her needs, the seniors note all the needs of my wife and immediately call me if she is "out of sorts" in any way.
The catering department is excellent and my wife
really enjoys her food we had a party for her on the 7th December in the Day Care Unit and the buffet supplied was really top notch.
The activities team are always excellent and involve the residents a lot in games and puzzles and artistic events like painting etc.
The cleaning dept is very good too and any mishaps are promptly dealt with in an efficient way.
The Reception Staff are always very welcoming and smiling and seem to know who everyone is
The Manager is a very caring person who is always available for any concerns that I may have about my Wife's welfare
So all in all I am very satisfied with the Valleys

My dad is in this care home. We find it outstanding. The staff are so helpful, and overall you cannot fault it. We had the choice of this one and another but chose The Valleys as other family members also stayed here. Thank you for looking after our dad so well.

I cannot praise staff enough for their care and support they offer my dad. He is well looked after, and staff keep in touch with every need.
10 March 2021
All the staff are always helpful and welcoming. Throughout the pandemic, we have been able to see Mum on FaceTime, and then with masks, gloves and apron from a distance - out in the garden when the weather was warm. Then inside a designated room when the weather was cold behind a screen (also, one
of the family could be tested and meet Mum in a designated room) then all back to behind a screen. (From the 8th March one of the family can be tested and meet Mum in a designated room again).
10 March 2021
Staff are always very helpful and happy. Very reassuring that our loved one is in safe hands and being clear of Covid-19 is very good, and shows that everyone is doing everything and more besides - cannot fault them with anything. Nothing is too much trouble. Have recommended them on more than one
occasion.

Everyone at The Valleys is fantastic. My nan has been there for 2-years now. She's happy and looked after amazingly. Also just found my great auntie at The Valleys. We didn't know she was there as we haven't seen her for 10-years. My dad has dementia, and sooner or later, he will need to go into The
Valleys also.

My wife is beautifully looked after at The Valleys Care home. All the staff are competent and caring. My family and I put our trust in the organisation and are right to do so. It is however difficult to be completely objective at present in some areas due to limited access due to Covid-19.

All staff were excellent, I have no issues. All good.

Whenever I visit my mother everyone is so friendly, they all make time to speak to you. The standard of care is second to none. They always inform me of any changes in my mother's condition, it puts my mind at ease knowing she's well cared for. Laundry could be better.
20 June 2019
When you enter the premises you are greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. The staff and care workers are first class. I have total confidence that our loved one is being lovingly cared for. Only one concern, the laundry should improve.
02 March 2018
All I can say is that everybody I have come in contact with are very caring for both my husband (respite) and myself. When I am in need of respite, they can find a room within days - this helps me enormously.
29 January 2018
The care staff have been excellent and have looked after Mum very well. Most of them have built up a rapport with Mum and enjoy having a laugh with her. The care home has kept us informed if Mum has been under the weather or has had any other difficulties or doctor's appointments etc. Any queries we
have raised with the care home have been addressed and resolved effectively and efficiently.
24 January 2018
My experience so far has been positive regarding the care received for my mother. Any requests have always been acted upon quickly. The cleanliness and nutrition of the care home is to an excellent standard. The staff have always been accommodating and friendly. The only area I would like to see
improvement on is returning clothes to the correct resident, although I do appreciate this can be difficult. When I have raised this it has always been rectified. Mum has hair and nails done and staff take her out.
22 January 2018
Since my father came into The Valleys with vascular dementia and was upstairs at first, I must admit it was a bit scary up there but the staff reassured you and put you at ease. The Valley is very professional and I couldn't fault them, they are very attentive and put the parents needs first and
foremost and nothing is a problem for them. They are very caring and have a positive approach to the patient, it can be difficult for them as we all well know, but as my dad is now bedridden and downstairs in the Brimby unit, the staff are still loyal, caring and nothing is a problem to help the patient, they should get paid more for what they do. Thank you.
