My very good friend has been at Bilton Hall for 5 months, she has settled in straight away and she is very happy! The staff are very caring and friendly and nothing is too much for them. My friend says she couldn't have found anywhere better.

Mum has been in Bilton Hall for just over a year at first she was still mobile and enjoyed taking part in all the daily activities but unfortunately her dementia has worsened and she's not able to join in. The staff have been amazing giving her excellant care and encouragement everyone is so
helpfull and lovely with mum and do their best to make her day to day as comfortable as she can be. I'm happy leaving mum knowing she's very well looked after.

I arrived here feeling very apprehensive about wether I would be able to settle but after being here for 6 weeks, I feel very much at home. I am very happy and contented. The staff are so lovely and caring. I cannot speak to highly of the care, the food the accomodation in all everything is
excellent.

In my experience, the home appears well run, clean, and the staff are caring and professional. On entering the home you are welcomed and politely reminded to sign in and out. The grounds are beautiful and an added bonus in warmer months; in addition, the secure courtyard provides a pretty, safe,
outdoor space to sit or walk. My brother is well-cared for and always appears happy. He is engaged every day in a variety of activities, which I follow on social media; the photos and videos are a brilliant way for a sister living a fair distance away to keep in touch. I would like to thank all the staff for your kindness and hard work.

Bilton Hall is a lovely old house in beautiful surroundings with excellent staff and support.
My mother has been a resident there for a couple of months now and from day 1, the staff made every effort to make her feel welcome and settled.
She had lost a lot of confidence after spending time in
various hospitals but since arriving at Bilton Hall, is now regaining her confidence and is integrating into social activities again.

Mum came to Bilton Hall Nursing Home as a palliative/end of life care. She was cared for extremely well. The chef checked what food she liked and consistenly; the maintenance team checked the safety, the cleaner made sure of sanitising and cleaned; the nurses/assistants all ensured Mum was
comfortable and ensured personal care completed and appropriate medication; laundry was done regularly; admin was taken great care. Lovely garden - well kept. Always able to make Mum "hot chocolate" as often as required. All the staff were happy and lovely.

Bilton Hall nursing home which is located in Harrogate, in my experience meets and surpasses all expectations.
My mother Dorothy, became a resident early June 2025, and from the outset, and indeed before to her move there, the process of assessing her needs was thorough comprehensive and deft.
Prior to her residency a number of rooms were considered and professionals met and decided that the room which she was allocated would meet her needs, and their judgement was sound.
From day one staff have been without exception approachable, caring, friendly and professional. Unlike many institutions staffing at night and weekends is excellent . And staff members are consistent and there are not replaced during those hours by part-time staff agency staff .
In August, for five days my mother was admitted to hospital and staff at the nursing home contacted me immediately - even before the ambulance had arrived at Bilton Nursing Home.
They kept in touch and liaised with the Hospital.

A very kind & caring staff. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings and a magnificent old house that still has kept it's authenticity.

My neighbour has been a resident at Bilton Hall since May, after being in hospital for 2 months. At discharge, he was assessed and it was agreed that his care needs had increased, which his previous care home was unable to support.
Bilton Hall was suggested by the Harrogate Hospital discharge
team as an alternative. Not being familiar with it, I called to arrange a viewing and as I was working and unable to get there during my working hours, the Administrator agreed to meet me after her day should have ended which was very much appreciated at short notice.
Once installed, my neighbour settled well, which was a huge relief. At Bilton Hall, he is always treated with respect, patience and kindness by all, right from the domestic staff, up to (and including) the most highly qualified of the Bilton Hall team.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bilton Hall to anyone who is in need of the services they provide.
(No experience of the activities offered as he is unable to participate)

My Dad didn't want to go into a care home. For years he has made us promise we wouldn't do it to him. When he was admitted to hospital, the only way he could leave was to be discharged to a care home. He (and we) were heartbroken as he had been so firm on his decision.
The day before he was
discharged we were able to take his belongings over to set up his room, so that when he moved there were some familiar bits and pieces around.
Straight away the staff made us feel at ease - it was heartwarming to see how much patience and love they had for their residents.
The day after Dad was discharged I went to visit. On entering his room he was chatting to two male nurses about football. They were laughing and joking and this was the first time in a while I had seen my Dad sociable. He was happy - settled - and more importantly, safe. He told me he was living in a 10* hotel. This affirmation was so important to our family. Dad's illness was complicated and passed away the next day, peacefully.

Since my mum came into Bilton Hall following hospital- the staff have been nothing but supportive and caring towards her. All staff interactions I have seen from care staff, the catering team, domestics, activities and administrators have had a positive impact on both her mental and physical
wellbeing.
The wider management team have also been good with her and have stopped to say hello on several occasions.
The food is well presented and spoken highly of.
24 June 2025
Personal care was excellent, the staff so kind and considerate.
However I don't know why I was sent there in the first place! I do not have dementia!! Everything is geared up for dementia, so I did not join in with the activities after the 1st week. The only people I had any proper conversations
with were residents visitors. I spent a lot of time on my own in my room watching tv or reading. Food was let down by not being warm enough.
