Dovecote Care Home provides an excellent standard of care within a warm, welcoming environment. The staff are caring and attentive, nothing is ever too much trouble. They offer good quality meals that my father-in-law enjoys, also cater to his needs when he fancies something different to the daily
menu. Between all staff there is a strong sense of teamwork. Plenty of activities, parties and social events to keep residents active and happy. I would 100% recommend Dovecote Care Home.

My father was in Dovecotes Care for just over 6 months. He had dementia and when it became impossible to look after him at home we had to find somewhere for him quickly, Which the management helped with and got him in the very next day. We were all so grateful for that as my mother could not cope
any longer. From the moment he arrived he was looked after so well, he wasn't able to join in most of the activities that happen every day but he loved the variety of singers and the other entertainment that always seems to be on. The care staff are amazing, so kind and caring. They do a very difficult job and they are all so happy and they always have time for a little chat. The home is immaculate, his room was so cosy, my father loved the food, so much choice and always available. Unfortunately my father passed away in Dovecote in December but as a family we are very happy with the care he received. We actually not only miss visiting him but we miss all the staff and other residents.

The care my mother with Alzheimer's has received since becoming a resident last September has been outstanding and she is so much better since being at Dovecote. The staff are amazing and have been great at communicating with myself and my brother. They have also been really good with my dad, who
visits every day, and with keeping an eye on him. Can't fault anyone or anything at all.

It was a difficult decision to place my husband, who has young onset dementia, into care after a brief respite. It was becoming so very difficult to look after him at home. Dovecote has provided a warm,, safe and caring environment for my husband. The staff are all extremely caring, kind and
approachable to help with any concerns I may have. Niggles are addressed with professionalism. The food is outstanding, full marks to the kitchen staff. I am welcome any time of day I visit. Dovecote has been the right decision for us as a couple.

Dovecote has been a first class experience for looking after my mother. The care and dedication from the staff is excellent. My mother is thriving since she has been a patient.

My father was placed at Dovecote for respite. Myself and mother were caring for him at home but his behaviour deteriorated when I went overseas, we found the staff at the facility to be so caring, helpful and understanding, we asked to make the respite permanent, and I don't think you can get a
better recommendation than that. I myself being a nurse that started my career in a nursing home, understand the pressure the staff are under, but they never seem frustrated and are eager to please the residents and family. I was very impressed.

My father initially came into Dovecote for respite care last August. Cutting a long story short, the care he received and the change in him was exceptional. The home itself is like a home from home, lovely and clean and modern decoration makes it feel cosy and homely. Nothing is too much for the
management and staff.

I visit the home on a regular basis as a eucharistic minister in the Catholic Church. I always receive a warm welcome. The staff are great, very friendly and if I need any help, it's always on hand. When I walk in the home has a nice feel to it. I know it's a very difficult job at times. I speak to
the residents and they are well looked after and tell me so. The home seems to me to be a big part of the local community, to it's credit.

Since the new manager has taken over it's definitely a lot cleaner. All staff look smart and take time to talk to residents.

An urgent respite stay was needed for Dad as we had reached a crisis point in his dementia care. As this happened so quickly, we didn't have time to do the normal research and visit the home prior to his stay, so we went in there completely blind. But, we needn't have worried. The staff were all
welcoming and helpful, his room was lovely and he seemed content being there. It gave us peace of mind and also provided us with some desperately needed breathing space from caring responsibilities.

The attention to detail is second to none. Staff go above and beyond to meet my mum's needs, and it is friendly and a warm and welcoming environment. I can honestly say that every staff member has taken time to get to know Mum, the food is very personalised to everyone’s different tastes. Nothing is
ever a problem, and Mum's care is first class. From the minute Mum has stayed at Dovecote, I have fully trusted the quality of her care and respected dignity. Mum is able to choose her own activities and weekly pampering sessions. Mum has a newly refurbished room, with a beautiful ensuite, looking onto a landscaped garden. We plan to plant spring bulbs soon in the grounds with a few other residents who share the same interests. The local community is involved in the care home, and they host and provide weekly events and activities for residents to join in if they wish. There is an impressive beauty salon for hair and nails onsite and a library for residents to share and exchange books.
