View Full Details of Waverley Lodge Care HomeMy personal experience with the management and staff at the care home has always been very good. I have always been treated with respect, and the care they give to residents is above and beyond everything, they are so dedicated. I can't praise them enough.
I love the staff they are very helpful. I also love the garden area with all the lovely flowers. It's good to get outside. I'm content here whether I'm on my own or mixing with others.
This is an ideal place for short term respite of which I was or long term residential care. The staff are approachable friendly & kind. The carers from nurses to domestics are excellent in their care & duties. All the residents are happy and easy to get along with. The food is great and choices are available for all dietary requirements. They have a veterans guide to residential care and have ex forces staying there. I was treat with dignity and respect throughout my time there, they go above & beyond to include everyone in all goings on. When I next need respite care I'll willingly go back.
I could not have chosen a better care home for my sister, staff are excellent, atentative, friendly they give a very high level of care. They always have time for me and my sister who has very high care needs. The member of staff who I speak to about my sister, always makes time for me and answers my questions. All of the staff ae there for me and my sister when she needs them.
This is the second time in Waverly for my husband. Care received has always been excellent. He is quite happy there. Staff are also very caring.
Everyone of your staff are caring, polite and very helpful. They are always on hand to fulfil all the patient's needs at all times. The care that is received is always excellent and very professional. I would like to thank everyone for all of their help and long may it continue.
My sister-in-law is very happy here.
Excellent staff. Very professional, excellent care. Management is very professional. Good food.
My mam is a resident here and has been here for many years. There are some staff who I think could be better but management is great and the senior carer is fantastic, and when she is on and certain cares are on my mind they are put to rest. Since new management have come things have got a lot better I hope this manager is here to stay as there have been a lot of changes since her arrival. I'm very happy with my mam's care here.
My mam has been a resident for a number of years and at times over those years has not received the best care and management not helpful. There have been a number of managers lately and I am pleased to say the last 2 have been excellent. Also, the care my mam receives from the senior healthcare carer is exemplary and she is an asset to the home. All my mum's needs are met by some carers in particular.
Happy enough with everything. My dad is well taken care of.
While Mam was in the home, she received excellent care. The home had a very warm and friendly feeling. The staff were very friendly, caring and supportive to Mam and us. Mam particularly enjoyed the food and thought it was just like "homemade". When we visited, it was always clean and tidy. Mum was always well cared for, and we felt her needs were met as she required more care. We wish to thank everyone at Waverley Lodge for making Mam feel so cared for in her final months.
Excellent. Everyday toilet roll is needed. I found the staff and food all excellent, nice place to be. The staff are special - employer please note; take care of your staff. All excellent.
Our mother lived in Waverley Lodge for just over 8 months. There were issues and concerns along the way which were slowly improving after numerous meetings but then things started to decline and after witnessing events with other residents and my mother we decided to move mam to another care home. My mental health and health could not take any more stress. I could go into great detail to explain this review but I cannot for reasons. All I will say is please please think long and hard and research before moving your loved one into this care home. There is some genuine caring staff but there is not enough of them. One positive - the food is good. Our mother had visitors every day for 4-6 hours at times so we saw a lot of the workings of the home and the CQC rated this home as overall requires improvement if you doubt this review. One thing I can reveal is that I found staff sleeping most of the nightshift on my mother's floor while I waited all night for an ambulance for my mother.
We had to select a care home for dad without being able to visit due to COVID restrictions. From the first phone call and talking to staff in the doorway, I got a really positive vibe that he would be well looked after. Every member of staff who interacted with dad did so in a kind, caring and professional way. I had the utmost confidence on leaving that he would be well cared for until I saw him again the following day. Maintaining his dignity was very important to the staff. The home is bright and airy with lovely grounds and although dad didn’t eat much the food looked lovely. The care also extended to concern for my mother, bringing refreshments for us when we visited. I would recommend Waverley Lodge to anyone looking for a final place for loved ones.
I think this home is run very professionally, very caring, polite and friendly. Doing the world of good for my wife and in a good area, easy to get to. So god bless all the staff and patients. Stay safe.
I find the staff very helpful. I enjoy living in the home and I enjoy the food.
Couldn’t have asked for better care during my mother’s time in a Waverley Lodge. Staff were really friendly from our first visit, nursing staff and named care were excellent.
I want to offer particular commendation to the staff who cared for my 93 year old mother, who had advanced dementia and extreme frailty, in the weeks leading up to her death. The staff treated my mother with respect, tenderness and love. They showed the family compassion and great thoughtfulness. Staff went out of their way to make my mother's dying days a quality, dignified and at times moving and profound experience for us all. Throughout, the nursing care was honest, professional and extremely well done.
The staff are very helpful and do their best to help the clients. They do the best they can.
