Dad has been a resident for over 3 years took him a while to settle in but they where amazing with him. Nothing is to much trouble ,staff are always friendly and approachable . I know dad is safe and well looked after.

Mum has only been at Washington Lodge for a couple of weeks and she has settled really well. This is due to the staff who are constantly popping in and out to check on her and have a chat. I have had many questions, all of which have been answered clearly, the open door policy meant I never felt
like I was being a nuisance.

So far, so good! I have only been here coming up 2 weeks and am very happy with my experience so far. You can not fault the staff, they are helpful and caring, they appear quickly when I press the buzzer. Things are explained clearly regarding medication.

My MIL came into the home urgently just before Christmas 2024, the home couldn't have done more to make her feel welcome & at home. My MIL had dementia & had a couple of falls so was in an immobile state, they did try to get her mobility back but it had gone to far, they couldn't, but tried. All
staff at this home couldn't have done enough for her & she was loved by all that met her. She started to deteriorate a couple of weeks ago & they keep the three sons & her husband informed & involved all the time, when it came to near the end, the staff sat with her 24/7 so she wasn't on her own, when we went in the day before she passed. We were given time on our own with her & then the staff nurse came & told us everything that was happening & that it wouldn't be long. Then next morning we got the call & rushed to the home & she has passed peacefully in her sleep 10 mins before. The staff have done more to help her passing not be as hard & are wonderful. We all can't thank them enough.

Everyone is so caring of my mother so patient. She is so happy and settled and well cared for. The manager goes out of her way to help us.

My husband has been a resident in Washington Lodge for nearly eight years. He has been well cared for and looked after. All the staff are very friendly and caring and polite. And do a very good job in sometimes stressful situations. The food could sometimes be better but depends who is working in
the kitchen. I would recommend the home to anyone who is looking for a good care home.

All staff are friendly and welcoming.
Observed staff with multiple residents and always showed care and compassion and extended that to family members.
The care home is always clean and the food is of good quality and substantial.
I have every confidence that my Fathers needs are being met.

Our brother moved here in September after being in hospital and we could not be happier. Downstairs suits him so much being able to see outside and use his bike in the garden with the help of the fantastic staff.

My brother has settled into Washington well. The improvement in mobility and his mental health has improved immensely.
We are welcomed by lovely staff and all of our questions are answered, any queries are addressed.
We are so grateful to all at Washington Lodge, they are all caring and excellent.

The carers are fantastic and help out a lot. Numerous staff members have come in and cared for my grandma while we have visited her and have spoken about how lovely she is. Not only do they care for the residents but they have shown a lot of compassion for my family. I appreciate absolutely
everything they have done for my grandma and would recommend this home to everyone. Me and my family really truly appreciate everything that has been done and the care that has taken place while we couldn't be there to help her.

The care from the staff has been exceptional for my grandma in the last 12 months, it's been a relief for the family to know she is in good hands. I'd like to thank them all.

My wife has settled into Washington Lodge but it was difficult for me to trust her care to other people. However I have been delighted with how all the care staff, nurses and managers look after her, deal with any issues that arise, and all that provides me with the peace of mind I needed. I'm
genuinely impressed with the compassion of the staff and their gentle kindness with the residents.

Washington Lodge has been such a warm, safe place for my mother. She was accepted after a really bad experience in a different home. She has got well and happy and they understand her dementia. The staff are really caring. Thank you.

I find the home a pleasant place with a happy atmosphere. All the staff work doe the good of the residents. My husband is very happy and contented there and keeps saying how well he is looked after. I marvel at the patience and gentleness of the staff and the dignity with which the residents are
treated.

Staff have contributed to my sister-in-law's care in many ways - support, compassion and empathy. The carers' support has been excellent by going the extra mile of communication in sign language. Thank you.

My parents have been at Washington Lodge for the past 3 years. I cannot speak highly enough about the care that they have received from the manager and team. Day and night we are absolutely confident that they are receiving the care and comfort that they need, care that responds to their individual
needs. I have no hesitation in recommending Washington Lodge as a safe, caring environment for people who require end-of-life care.

The people in this care home who look after my dad are absolutely amazing. They are so friendly and kind with the patience of a saint. The job they all do in there is so good. Feel welcome every time I visit.

Staff were very helpful when I have to phone in the evening to speak to Mum, as we live a distance away and we cannot get to see Mum as much as we like to. When we came to visit today, Mum's bedroom sink was dirty with dicolour wipes in the sink and bed not made properly.
As a carer myself, I
understand the situation of the home.

My mother came to Washington Lodge last year and received a great welcome. She settled well and has developed suitable relationships with the staff. The care she receives is great - everyone is friendly, competent and responsive to anything we ask.
