View Full Details of Oaklands Manor Nursing HomeI am pleased with the changes on the spring unit, the new flooring, dining room chairs, downstairs and upstairs, all the new things up there. The seating area outside is coming on nicely, a lovely area for the residents to sit. Also, once the bedrooms are decorated, it will look great. Really pleased with all the work carried out.
Most noticeable is the number of staff. There is always a carer nearby to attend to my husband's needs. The staff are happy and competent.
The manager and the staff have been great in terms of delivery of care and explaining things in depth about the care of my dad. This has really helped and put the family at ease during this difficult situation. The manager has been very approachable and caring/supportive when we have been worried; she has always been by the phone if needed.
Since the Oakland's team took over the home has been totally revamped. It is now a bright, clean and friendly place to be. The staff are amazing and dedicated to the care they provide. My Dad has been very well looked after. His care is outstanding and he is happy. I find the staff and management go above and beyond in their care and take time to get to know their residents and families. Overall a massive improvement from the previous management. Oakland's is a gem of a care home. The staff are diamonds.
My father-in-law came to Oaklands Nursing home to get help to recover. She had previously been to the hospital and two other nursing homes. My father-in-law has been bed ridden for about 8 months, the staff at Oaklands have worked extremely hard dressing severe bedsores that were really bad and close to the bone, his wife and daughter thought he wouldn't recover, cannot believe on Monday he was out of bed sat drinking a cup of coffee and eating a biscuit, well done Oaklands staff. Fantastic service.
There has been a great improvement in facilities offered since the recent change in ownership, the improvement is significant in both the physical improvements and also the care given, I have noticed a great deal of forward movement with patient interaction and the activities now on offer, recently they have had an open day to showcase new menus on off, and also asking for recommendations from both carers and residents, also had a little fun tombola to help raise funds, also the introduction of therapy dogs once a month is great.
2nd week April 25th. The day room was left unattended by staff for a short while. Resulted in 2 residents needing the toilet. Mum needed to be lifted by hoist, when I found a staff member, after some time of looking, the battery was flat on the hoist. However, things seem to have improved since then, and I am quite pleased with the level of care. Things have improved under the new owners, and the management are approachable.
A fantastic organisation! Great support from everyone working within the home. The team are really informed and go the extra mile at every stage. I would recommend them unreservedly. Great caring, supportive staff members. I have worked within the care sector looking after people suffering with dementia and I know how difficult and stressful it certainly can be. My dad has now been there about 2 months and I do not have any concerns relating to the care he is being given. The team show an excellent attention to detail with empathy and understanding relating to the care they provide. The team represents among the highest levels of service I have experienced with efficient communication with lots of help and support if required. Very polite and helpful service. Always a warm welcome when visiting with a specific member of staff and the rest of the staff always at hand to chat about any concerns or just to give a drink and biscuits to you.
Absolutely super staff, all really good with my grandad. Place is really clean and greatly taken care of. Very impressive, one staff member has been immense with me my grandad and my family specially. Thankyou all!!
My father was offered a place here when he was discharged from hospital. The staff and management here are very friendly and welcoming and encouraged a visit to look around. My father's nursing and dementia needs are paramount and Oakland's Manor are keen to meet these.
Our father is a resident in oaklands Manor care home. Staff have been amazing taking care of his needs as he cannot walk and dementia .if u have any issue's they do resolve them.our father is settled there and happy and most of all he's well looked after. As a family we appreciate all what they do.
What an amazing team of carers, every single one was wonderful. Her visit was quite short, but Mam loved her time here. The care and respect they showed her was second to none. As a family we were also very supported. We can't thank them enough.
Abysmal, invisible staff, unprofessional manager, lack of knowledge when using equipment. My father was left in a wheelchair or chair (slumped) he needed to be on a pressure cushion to relieve pressure. Lack of stimulation for all residents, some were left in bed or allowed to wander in pyjamas. Lack of maintenance (socket handing off wall) and lack of communication. Overall needs to close down. Missing clothes.
My dad is currently in the Four Seasons nursing unit, and from the day he went there, he was made to feel welcome and treated with dignity and respect. Everyone involved in caring for my dad does it in such a genuine and empathetic manner and goes beyond what they have to do and for that, I cannot fault them. They go out of their way to accommodate us as a family when visiting and always keep us updated. They do lots of activities and to see my dad laughing and singing again is priceless. I know my dad is well cared for, and for that, I would like to say thank you.
My Dad was a resident at Four Seasons Care Centre for under two months after a previous unsatisfactory experience at a different Nursing Home. As a family we would like to thank all of the staff at Four Seasons for caring for my Dad in such a lovely, empathetic, supportive and respectful manner....they all literally treated him like he was one of their own. As a Nurse myself I always say that 'true care' does not cost the NHS or private sectors anything as 'true care' can only be delivered by those who actually 'do care!' and it is clear that all of the staff, including the maintenance man all have such a lovely caring nature and they treat all of their residents how any one of us would want our loved ones to be treated. Four Seasons not only ensures that its residents have all of the nursing care and attention that they need but they ensure that each resident is stimulated in such a way that allows them to have 'normality.' Thank you all at Four Seasons.
The staff at Four Seasons Care Centre are excellent. The care provided is good. I would recommend this care facility to anyone with a relative who has dementia. If there is one criticism, it would be that at times there aren't enough staff on duty.
Four Seasons cared for my mum between September 2022 until her death in March 2023. They always treated her with care and dignity. A good care home that is clean and brightly decorated.
My wife has had fabulous care at Four Seasons Summer unit at Saltburn. All the staff and management are very pleasant, caring, and attentive - both to my wife and myself. My wife is enjoying her respite care at this lovely establishment after being transferred from James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough - where she was suffering from Delirium. She is now recovering, and I and my wife can't thank all concerned enough. Well done to all at Four Seasons. Would not hesitate to recommend this Care Home.
My wife is a resident in the Four Seasons Care Home - Nursing Wing. She has been a resident for over four years. During that time, she has always received the best care. She is bed-bound and doubly incontinent. All her needs are dealt with by members of staff. During the lockdowns, there has been no decrease in care. We, the relatives, have been kept informed and our concerns dealt with in a caring and sympathetic manner. The present manager has done a wonderful job as she, on top of all her other tasks sent out quite reassuring letters. The admin staff have also performed extremely well. A difficult time for all concerned. If any slight problems have appeared a quick word with the manager always gets fast results.
Since my mother arrived she has been well cared for. At home she was refusing to eat and drink, the staff here worked with her, she is now eating regular full meals. She hadn't walked for 8 weeks, Four Seasons helped with her mobility. She now seems to be settled and they are taking her out into the village for coffee and fresh air. To sum up, very pleased with making the right choice of care home.
