View Full Details of St Helens Care HomeI visited my brother who is a resident with my husband and son. We were delighted and impressed by everything we saw at St Helen's Care Home. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, my brother was obviously well cared for and had an excellent rapport with the staff. He seems contented and settled there and is safe. He was clean and tidy and was treated with dignity by the staff. The care home is tranquil with a lovely garden and seems very well run by the staff and home manager. My brother said that the food was very nice too.
Staff are caring and professional. Residents are well cared for, staff go above and beyond to put on events which engage residents and family's are always treated with respect. I am kept fully informed of dads wellbeing and he is living as full a life as he is able given his issues. I have upmost respect for staff.
I visit my uncle on a regular basis and I'm always impressed with the staff as they are very caring and friendly. But always very professional. They always go above expectations if there are any events coming up and we have attended many which were amazing.
Mam has lived here for over 12 months now and I could not be happier with the care she has received/receives from the first week she moved there. Mam had lived at 3 previous places and did not meet her needs. St Helens staff are so caring and approachable, they really do care and put the residents first, great interaction and many activities happening relevant to each individual, person centred care at its best. I have no hesitation in recommending this place of residence for your loved ones.
Visited my grandmother today and what a pleasant and enjoyable visit we had. The staff were so welcoming and friends (as always) and the Halloween celebrations in the home were fantastic, we can't wait to join in the Christmas festivities!
My uncle was in, he just died. He was looked after so well. Our family was so grateful for the best care he got. Every one of the staff were so kind. He was so happy with his stay at St Helens Care Home, he loved going in the garden when it was sunny and they had fairs and things on with the music on.
The staff appear very friendly. Looks clean and tidy.
This care home is a breath of fresh air. Every time we visit here the staff are interacting with the residents and are very welcoming to visitors. Karaoke is usually on the go with staff and residents dancing and singing. What I really like about this home is it's the same staff members who are there to greet you which shows there isn't a great staff turnover, meaning the residents and visitors can build great relationships with the carers.
I have recently visited my grandmother in St Helen's and was really happy with everything during my time there. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do more for us or my grandmother. It was very clean and all the residents that I saw looked really happy and well cared for, it was really nice to see. Thank you very much St Helen's staff.
Unfortunately due to work and domestic pressures, I have been unable to visit my great aunt very often lately. However on my recent visit I was absolutely delighted to see how things are constantly improving. The arrival of the new manager made such a difference last year and her ongoing work and commitment are showing at the home. The team make time to listen and understand my aunt's needs, as well as ensuring she is cared for - something that was inconsistent previously. In addition, the environment is improving all of the time - with the bedrooms having had a recent makeover - something I understand that was instigated by the manager. In summary, I am pleased with the care my aunt receives and would highly recommend St Helens for anyone needing the specialist care it provides - thank you on behalf of a very grateful great niece and happy and settled great aunt.
My mam has been in the care of the staff at St Helens Care home for a number of years and I would like to praise them all for the exceptional care my mam received during her time there, especially in her last few weeks/days. My mam unfortunately passed away a little less than a week ago and the staff from cleaners to nurses have shown so much love, support and compassion. I would highly recommend the home to anyone. As a family, we knew my mam was in safe hands at any time of day and the right decisions were always made. A massive thank you!
My son came here and was looked after to a very high standard by all the lovely staff. The only reason he has moved is because of his age (43) it was not suitable. I would recommend this home to anyone.
St Helens Care Home is a lovely home. I am always welcomed by staff when visiting my grandfather. My grandfather is always clean and tidy. There are also a lot of activities going on for my grandfather and staff are always trying to do different things to keep everyone entertained. The staff are also very helpful.
I found this care home on my first visit to be so perfect for my father, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The smell of delicious food was one of the fits things I noticed about it. All the nurses are there on hand for any questions and needs. They take great pride in what they do and can tell how caring they are.
I have lived here for 2 years. Staff are really caring. The food is lovely. Nice and clean.
The staff and carers are excellent and helpful in helping my son with his needs. They do a really good job. Thank you.
I placed my dad in St Helens Care Home five years ago due to his determination in health. Since my dad has been in this care home, my dad is happy. He has been involved in activities when in good health. All staff are very kind, caring and understanding, and also extremely supportive.
Excellent - can't do enough, very caring and supporting staff. Dad seems to be settling. Have no problems seeing Dad at any time. Staff are attentive and helpful and keep us up to date with him and any needs he has. They are very happy for us to take him out for a walk and family events.
Good experience.
The staff are very respectful to residents, professional but with humour and compassion. My relative is always clean and tidy; the home itself is homely and welcoming. The home has lots of ways to contact my relative, even a facility to video chat, which is lovely, especially during Covid.
