Our family friend has been loving at Lowgate for almost two months and we have been very happy with the way he is cared for and the happy relationships between all the different members of staff and the residents as well as the general family atmosphere. Our friend is bed ridden and suffering from
late stage dementia but the view of the gardens from his window means he is able to make a connection with the outside world and the wildlife in the trees and on the lawns. The location of Lowgate, so close to Hexham, yet in the countryside, suits really well. Thank you to everyone.

My father was welcomed to his care home really well. Multiple staff members have popped in to introduce themselves. All have been cheerful, friendly and informative. We couldn't have asked for a nicer welcome. They have all made a positive impression. The care given has been constant, appropriate
and respectful. We are so happy that my father has settled so quickly. The food has been plentiful and home cooked. As visitors we have been treated with courtesy and consideration.

My friend came into Lowgate while having to come to terns with a diagnosis of M.N.D and the inevitable deterioration this would lead to. The staff home treated and cared for her sensitivity, coped well with difficulties associated with her dementia, and responded well to her individual needs. We all
feel this has been a good move and she is in the best place for her current and future needs.

Lowgate has been a god send for us when we were told after a short hospital stay that our parent could not return to his care home and we had to find one that could cater for his needs we were very stressed looking round nothing worked until we came to Lowgate. We were met by smiles and told nothing
was too much trouble and they meant it. They are amazing caring staff who also encourage and support the family. V.E. Day was a high light we got to share a meal as a family!!

The manager, administrative staff, cooks and events organiser all disappeared at the same time with no explanation forthcoming. No point of contact as before when the manager was available and admin staff for payments etc. Atmosphere strained. I have put 'Good' for management since removed and no
replacement. Prior to this, management was highly satisfactory, important things like maintaining hearing aids and ensuring residents are able to communicate with visitors and staff neglected. Food, especially tea time, poor e.g. 'Rehashed' soup and burnt eggy bread/French toast.

have been kinder or more caring.

The care and compassion shown at Lowgate are second to none. All the staff were marvellous and couldn't do enough for my mother. Staff also made my daughter and me so welcome and always made time during their busy schedule to come and have a chat with us. They were always very happy to answer any
questions we had. This care home brought my mother alive after being very subdued for years. We saw a completely new side to her, which brought us great comfort. I cannot thank all staff enough for their dedication, patience and superb care.
