View Full Details of Scarbrough CourtI'm truly blown away by the compassion shown by the Nurse Manager at Scarbrough Court. My mam and her best friend (friends for over 70 years) hadn't seen each other in well over a year due to illness and disabilities. The Nurse Manager is going above and beyond to arrange a home visit so they could reunite, hold hands, cry, and share precious time together. This thoughtful gesture will have a huge impact on their mental wellbeing and means the world to me. The care, kindness, and dedication shown here are exceptional. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My dad came to the Hospice on an agreed 'end of life'. Within a week or so we had the call at the hospice to come in through the night to say that his breathing had changed. However he bounced back to us due to the stimuli, care and simply feeling valued, he was no longer bed number 7, but was him as a person. So our dilemma began. He was no longer perceived at 'end of days so could not stay there as normal, so, unfortunately he had to move on. My brother and I searched many, many nursing homes to try and emulate his time in the hospice as we knew it worked and couldn't find one! Our quest became a little helpless and I was seriously concerned he would decline rapidly as he did in hospital before the hospice. Then Scarbrough Court happened. I could not recommend this home more! They worked with us quickly to find out what dad needed (I will give a shout out here to a particular member of staff who made a lot happen quickly) It's early days, but already they have made it work!
Unfortunately I am unable to return to my own home. Being away from "normality" at any time is not easy but has been helped enormously by the care and respectability I have received from everyone I have had contact with. Without exception every member of staff has gone beyond their line of duty to help not only myself but my family through both the happy and difficult times. I am pleased to be settled in my "new home" and feel proud to say to people that I am a resident with nursing care at Scarbrough Court and here I intend to stay for the rest of my life. Why go to the RITZ when everything is here?!
Excellent constant professional care for our Mam. All the staff are lovely, caring and work so hard. The home itself is very clean, comfortable and airy. The rooms are a good size compared to other homes we liked at. We feel very lucky to have our Mam in Scarborough Court. Thank you for everything
I could not recommend Scarborough Court highly enough, all staff have treat my grandma like a family member with so much compassion and care from day one. The care provided is excellent and very efficient, all members of staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly at all times and always making the time to answer any questions. The facilities are exceptional with plenty of activities/events provided to cater for all residents and family members to partake and enjoy. I could not ask for a better place for my grandma to call home!
My mam has been in Scarborough Court for a year now. She really didn't want to be there at first but they have gradually won her over. The staff are so kind and patient with her, even when she is being stroppy and rude ! My brother and I couldn't be happier with her care, all the staff are so friendly with us and nothing is ever a problem to them. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone.
My grandmother has been a part of Scarbrough Court for over 5 years now, and the team are fantastic with her. It's always lovely to feel welcomed when visiting, and over the years getting to know some of the staff. They all work so unbelievably hard, and I'm very grateful to know she's in safe hands :)
My mam came to live here after suffering a stroke in January. I could really not recommend enough the staff and the care provided by Scarbrough Court. Not only to the care they are providing with my mam, but the love and care for all of us as a family. I really would say they create a home from home, the cleanliness, the food everything really is 5 star. We appreciate the support of all the staff within the home.
Since my nanna has moved in (about 5 years ago or so now) I think she's had the best care and the staff are amazing. It's nice to know she's close by, being well looked after & the home has a lovely atmosphere.
I would like to thank everyone for making my mother in law and the whole family very welcome. The care my mother in law is getting is brilliant. She feels safe and comfortable for the first time in a long time. The food is very varied and lovely. She is even enjoying the odd glass of wine with her meals. The activities programe is varied and stuck too. She has loved seeing the pony, chicken & guinea pig.
I have recently moved my mother here from another home, I can not praise the home or staff enough. The difference in my mother in the last 2 months is nothing short of remarkable. Several of my mother's visitors have made comment on how lovely it is to visit her and to go to the home because of the friendly & homely atmosphere that is created by everyone.
My dad has been at Scarbrough Court for a couple of years now. He loves all the staff and says he feels safe and looked after. I agree 100%.
The staff here are very caring and always ready to help with any problems the residents may have, someone is always near at hand if any help is required. Staff are always very friendly and always willing to any problems that the residents may be concerned about.
Staff are always happy and cheerful and willing to help. Residents are treated with dignity and nothing is too much trouble. Activities are first-class and all occasions are celebrated. Rooms are warm and cosy and residents are encouraged to personalise them as they wish. All in all Scarborough Court is an excellent home from home for elderly residents.
My Mum has been at Scarbrough Court for 7 months now and I feel very grateful that she has a place there. My mum went from being an active, independent lady to needing full time nursing care after a significant stroke. During the last few difficult months the Scarbrough court care staff, nurses and management have all been so kind and supportive. Mum receives excellent care in a clean and pleasant environment. The food seems to be very good and the kitchen staff are accommodating of mum's complex dietary needs. There are also regular enrichment activities organised, which makes for a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Mam came to live in Scarbrough Court in March 2024 until she sadly passed away in November 2025. I can honestly say she had an amazing experience as did all the family. The support, care, friendly and approachable staff (who were more like family) and love from everyone was first class and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone! Thank you for everything xxx
My mam went into Scarborough court following a long stint in hospital 5 years ago. It was a very difficult time as it was right before covid lockdown. The staff helped her settle in and stepped in where I wasn't able to. They kept me up to date with everything and still continue to do so. She's on nursing and has lots going on medically but she's so well cared for the nursing team are always on the ball. She has her favourite carers who always manage to put a smile on her face when she's feeling upset or agitated. But all the team are so nice and caring I don't worry at all about her as I'm updated or informed when I need to be. The home itself is lovely..rooms are bright and big..nice grounds.. always something going on. Wouldn't have wanted mam anywhere else. Thankyou team..you are appreciated.
I have unfortunately had to visit three other homes over recent months and I can honestly say this one is by far the best. The staff not only care for my husband but are there for me also. I feel that they are my friends. There are many activities arranged and trips out in the mini bus. A party was held for my husband's 90th Birthday. I get the feeling when I go on that the staff enjoy their work. I think the 5-star ratings say it all.
Dad has been living at Scarborough Court now for a year & I would just like to thank everyone for everything they do. Dad is very happy there & is well looked after, cared for and fed well, even liking a little glass of cider now & again. There is plenty of activities, trips & things for Dad to do if he feels up for it. Everyone is approachable if I have any concerns about anything, & strive to do the best for all of the residents. I would recommend Scarbrough Court 100%
My Mum has been at Scarbrough Court for 6 months and I am very happy with the care she receives. Her needs are quite complex and she receives excellent medical support, I am always kept updated regarding her health issues and any further external practioner support/care required and conducted. All the the staff are always very approachable and welcoming. I feel confident that my lovely Mum is good hands and well cared for at this time in her life, it's very difficult finding somewhere that ticks all the boxes and I feel like Scarbrough Court was a good choice. Thank you for giving her the kind and considerate care she deserves.
