My dad has been in the care of Brondesbury Lodge for the last two years. I have nothing but praise for all of the staff who continue to look after dad so well. Their level of care, compassion, communication and genuine dedication to all of the residents is a great comfort to our family. Always a

My mother moved here after a fall left her in a wheelchair. That, coupled with a dual diagnosis of dementia, meant she could no longer live on her own.
We worried that she would be unhappy as she had always been very independent, but I must say, she has absolutely thrived here! Her eating has
improved, through home made nutritious meals and supervision, leading to an improvement in her general health. She is very well looked after by lovely staff who genuinely care about her as an individual. She loves the activities, getting her hair and nails done, and the company of the other residents.
We are always welcomed when we visit, and every effort has been made to accommodate us. Special occasions, such as birthdays and Christmas, are celebrated.
Not only are mum's medical needs met promptly, but her wellbeing needs are looked after too!
It has meant so much to our family to know that our beloved mum is being looked after with such care and kindness!
We are very grateful to all staff!

Our mum spent a month at Brondesbury Lodge in an interim care bed before being removed to another home. This was against our wishes because we suspected she was coming to the end of her life.
Staff at Brondesbury Lodge were unable to understand the pain our mum was in and assessed her as having
challenging behaviour. Once she was given proper pain relief, at the care home she was moved to, she was able to verbally communicate her pain and other needs. Brondesbury Lodge sent her to the new care home without her painkillers or even a prescription for them which caused her even more suffering.
We feel that staff at Brondesbury Lodge are poorly trained, inexperienced and lacking in basic knowledge, in particular about dementia and heart related problems. They are often unable to understand the needs of their residents. They are unwilling to share information or work together with the families of residents. They failed to discuss with the doctor mums medical problems. Some carers have a poor level of English.

My dear wife died peacefully at this home, after being attended to for just over two months. I cannot put in words, my gratitude, for the care, love and dedication she received from the nurses and staff. All the residents were in receipt of continual attention to their needs and clearly adored their
carers. The whole atmosphere was one of good humour, created by an experienced and contented team, for whom, no request was too much trouble. I have no hesitation, in recommending this excellent establishment.
