I cannot say how pleased I am that my husband was given a place at Picton. He is cared for and that's all I can wish for.
My mother has been in Picton Court for just over one year. On all my visits I have found the staff to be professional, efficient in the daily tasks they carry out and most of all treat the residents with respect. I would highly recommend Picton Court to anyone looking for a first class Care Home.
The staff are really hardworking and lovely to my mum. The managers do not really acknowledge you if you should happen to see them around the home. The entertainment is fab and my mum really enjoys this.
Happy with the care my sister is receiving. The staff are all very nice.
My mother who is now 104 years old, has been in Picton Court since she was 101 years old. On my frequent visits I have found the staff to be friendly and efficient and have a very caring attitude to the residents. My mother is happy at Picton Court. I would recommend the home to any family looking for a good home for an elderly loved one.
As soon as you enter Picton Court you are given a warm welcome from all the staff. As my mother needs 24 hour nursing care, this is given with dignity and sincerity. I cannot thank them all for giving me peace of mind knowing my mother is well looked after and in a safe environment I have dealt with the nurses, carers, receptionist, kitchen and maintenance team and all have been wonderful and nothing is to much trouble. Knowing my mother is happy in her new surroundings, makes me happy. Thank you and well done to everyone at Picton Court.
Residents are treated as individuals with a clear care plan to follow. The unit is peaceful, indicating everyone is comfortable. All staff including laundry and cleaning staff are friendly, polite and considerate to residents. The unit is warm, well-lit and airy. Food is well prepared and well presented, drinks are plentiful throughout the day. Activities are frequent for those who want to and are able to take part. Clothes are laundered well and hung in the wardrobe, well done everyone!
Happy with the care, no complaints at all.
Very happy with my brother's care, as he is. Staff are friendly and helpful towards the family, are very approachable.
Mum has settled in very well at Picton Court since transferring from hospital. The staff are very caring and ensure Mum is well looked after despite her physical disabilities.
Comfortable with good staff.
I find it difficult to give an honest/personal view of the care home since I have no experience of any family members being in care or the price of it, it is satisfactory. My wife has been in Picton Court for 4 weeks and I have completed my answers with her help. I have at times thought there was not enough staff available to assist my wife in toileting and mobility.
My mother-in-law has been here 4 months and has settled in well, has nothing but praise for staff and loves the food. We find everyone so helpful, it's just a great place for her. It gives us peace of mind as she is looked after brilliantly. Thank you, Picton.
My mother has been in Picton Court coming up a year. On entry, we did not think she had long to live. Luckily she is still with us and I believe it is down to the constant good quality care and support of Picton Court nursing and care team. The long-term employees here are a testament to how good this place is. Familiar faces, clean environment, good food and entertainment all help my mum's quality of life and wellbeing.
My dad has been a resident for six months. We have seen an improvement in his physical looks. The care team are lovely. He seems settled but doesn't know where he is due to his dementia.
Although activities are on offer my parents have chosen not to take part even though the staff have encouraged them to do so. Staff are very caring and attentive and all their needs are met. We are very impressed with the way our father's dietary needs are accommodated and our mother enjoys the varied menus on offer.
My mother was a resident in the Dementia Unit at Picton Court for almost two years. I and my family would like to thank all the staff for the kind and professional care that they gave my mother. The staff who looked after her care needs and also those behind the scenes were fantastic. We were always made to feel welcome when we came to visit, and the staff were genuinely kind and caring. Often, we had a good laugh with residents and staff during our visits. Sorry, it has taken a while to write this, but a big thank you to everyone at Picton Court.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and facility. From the care my uncle receives on a daily basis to the regular updates I receive relating to any health issues.
Our mum moved into Picton Court in November 2023. She is settling in well, has a beautiful room and always says how lovely it is. The staff and food are amazing.
My sister has been here for over five years and is well looked after. I'm very impressed by the staff training and telling me when she is not well or a bit sad. Very impressed as I cannot be there 24/7. I always know my sister will let the staff know if she needs or wants anything.
