The Old Vicarage is a truly exceptional nursing home with a warm, loving and friendly culture. My mother lived there for 2 years with severe dementia and the care she received from the wonderful staff was outstanding. Every member of the team treated her with kindness, patience and real affection,
and were always welcoming and supportive to family and friends when we visited.
What struck us most was the atmosphere in the home. Residents are treated with dignity and respect, but there is also humour, warmth and a real sense of community. There were always activities taking place and my mother was engaged and stimulated throughout the day.
Choosing the right nursing home for your mum is not easy, but we are so grateful we chose The Old Vicarage and would recommend it without hesitation. My mother sadly passed away recently and the end-of-life care she received was extraordinary - delivered with such tenderness, dignity and respect. We will always be deeply grateful to to the whole team

take time to speak with residents and their families. My mother is in a place where people look out for and make sure she is comfortable and supported. The home is always clean and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and the overall environment feels safe and homely. The activities that are organised foster a sense of community. The food is good and drinks are readily available. Nothing but praise for the staff at The Old Vicarage Nursing Home. Moving nana here for her home, where she'd happily lived for over 30 years was so painful at the time but zero regrets. It was obvious it was the right decision from day one. Gone was her loneliness and isolation; gone was her
reduced dignity (at home different carer would come in often without saying hello or her name) and gone was her disorientation. The staff gave her love, care her sense of playfulness and she enjoyed a wonderful last two years of her life. She died in dignity.

The Old Vicarage cared for my mother for over eighteen months until she died, aged 97, in October 2025. Throughout her stay, the care and warmth given to my mother from all members of the staff were beyond anything I could have expected. She was so happy there. It was so reassuring for my wife and
I when we left after visiting to know that she was so well cared for. I cannot recommend the Old Vicarage highly enough.

Oh the whole the care that my mother gets is excellent - she seems very well looked after. She is always clean etc. and well looked after. The home seems to be laying on more activities and entertainment for the residents which has been noticeable and very welcomed, something that the staff are
trying to get my mother to join in more frequently. My father was also at the Old Vic for 3 years before his passing so one member of my family has been in the Old Vicarage over the 8 years period.- it is certainly in the top 3 nursing homes in Swansea.

My husband had Parkinson's and dementia and was cared for in The Old Vicarage Nursing Home for 3 months up to the day of his death. During that time all aspects of care were exemplary, and I had total confidence in all the staff. He was treated with care and respect and dignity. It was obvious that
his health was declining, but I never felt that the staff could have prevented this or done more for him. This was in contrast to the previous care home, where I was constantly anxious and needed to check on his care.

My mother has been a resident for just over 6 months and is enjoying living at The Old Vicarage. The facilities are generally good but it would be nice to have a room or space to talk quietly with my mother. The biggest plus of life in the home is the staff who are unfailingly cheerful helpful and
observant. Overall my impressions are that we are very lucky to have my mother being looked after so well.

My mother became a resident of the Old Vicarage in December 2021she was 93 and unable to care for herself, my brothers and I were afraid for her safety. The care and compassion my mother receives from every member of staff is unbelievable. They are extremely good at their job and are warm and
caring. They all check on her when passing her door giving her a reassuring smile at her door when they pass as she is now bedridden and her door is kept open. I can’t tell you how lucky we were to find her a place when we did it, it means I can go home after visiting her and not have to worry as I know she will be safe, and well looked after. The staff do an outstanding job. Thank you to all the staff of The Old Vicarage Care Home from the whole family.

Perfect! Following Mum needing an emergency placement, we had to look for 24-hour care. The Old Vicarage Nursing Home was the first place we visited and the atmosphere, warmth and welcome were second to none, so we decided not to go elsewhere to look. Mum has been there three months now and our
initial impression has not changed.
Mum is safe, warm, clean and very well cared for and we are delighted.

My mother-in-law was a resident in this home from April to September this year. I cannot fault the home the staff are so friendly and caring. Cleanliness is a very high standard, activities are great, and she loved having her hair and nails done. The kindness and care at the end of life both to her
and the family was exceptional.

We were very fortunate that we chose Old Vicarage for my late mother-in-law's last weeks end of life care.
We could not have asked for a more loving and caring environment to say our goodbyes after she'd had a prolonged stay in hospital. Every staff member was incredibly sensitive to both mine and
my wife's needs as well as my mother-in law's.
After such a dreadful two years of being separated from her, due to Covid restrictions, it was special to be able to be with her to say goodbye in such lovely and peaceful surroundings.
The matron and care staff's genuine care and understanding made a very difficult few days a lot more bearable for which we will always be grateful.
