The staff have helped my grandma transition into her new home. The facility is very well kept, clean, tidy and organised. The food is excellent and there is always tea and snacks available. The overall feeling here is calm, welcoming, professional and homely.
I can't praise Randolph Nursing Home enough. My mum has been here for coming on 3 years and they have got such a special relationship with her. They understand her needs and do everything within their power to accommodate her. I love when I see a wee twinke in my mums eye when they come in to see her. She has dementia and is unable to do anything for herself but they still treat her with the utmost respect. I am in regularly so know this is how they are with her all the time not just when I visit. They are also incredibly supportive of me as this isnt a pleasant experience...for which I will eternally grateful. I sing their praises to everyone who knows me and are involved with my mum.
My mother has been in Randolph Hill Dunblane for 2.5 years and has been given exceptionally good care throughout. Recently, a no-fault situation was resolved by the senior staff with great attention, imagination and care, together with very good communication and involvement of both me and my mother at all times. My mother is 102, and the nursing care remains at a high level, including taking the trouble to identify medical needs by requesting further tests. The staff continue to encourage my mother to eat, and take her out into the garden in fine weather. They are kind and friendly.
We are beyond impressed with the incredible amount of support, care, compassion, cleanliness and friendly people that work at Randolph Hill. Our friend, who we have the Power of Attorney for, went into care in June to Randolph Hill. From the moment we met the administrator and saw the home, the beautiful well maintained gardens and met some staff, the amount of relief we have had in knowing our friend was going to get the care he needs and deserves was, and still is, huge. With so many scare stories with care homes these days, we cannot believe how lucky our friend (and subsequently ourselves) are to know he is in good, caring hands and we tell everyone about how amazing Randolph Hill truly is.
When my son was getting married, a member of staff came to sit with my mum so that I could dance and socialise at the wedding and not leave my mum on her own. She also came in her car to take my mum back so that I could stay to enjoy the wedding. This is yet another occasion where a member of staff has gone above and beyond for us. The staff are fantastic.
I love Randolf Hill it's busy and the staff are kindly. The home is fresh and clean and the rooms are nice. It is difficult to find staff between 5 and 7. Sometimes things are missed, just this month pills were left untaken and a problem seems to be with my mothers duvet ie 3 nights this month my mother didn't have one.Maybe this means the room isn't checked before bedtime? I find the activities a bit unimaginative. I've looked online and there a lot of simple fun things to do In general I am happy with things, as is my mother.
The staff at this home are just fantastic. Everyone is happy! I've personally asked them . The staff say they'd get treated well by the owners and it's like a family . I believe this is the key to them being invested in the clients. It's a nice atmosphere in the home.
My mother became a resident in February this year. We chose Randolph Hill based on the positive impression we gained from our fact finding visit. We are delighted that our experience so far has exceeded our expectations. My mum's transition into Nursing Home life has been a positive experience for herself as well as her family. The care and support my mum has received from all of the Staff has been exceptional , which she really appreciates . As a family we have absolute confidence in the care my mum is receiving. The communication we receive is excellent in regards to mum particularly regards to Health and Wellbeing. We definitely feel we have made the right choices for my mum and are so appreciative of all of the Staff we interact with.
Our mother has been with this care home for over 3 years where she has been extremely happy. All the staff go above and beyond the call of duty in looking after her in all the many ways she requires, even though, at times, she can be quite difficult to care for mainly due to her advanced dementia and all the associated issues this particular illness brings. As a family we are well aware of this after having carried out the home care for a few years before it became too difficult and mum had to go into care. We initially thought she would struggle going into a care home but because she was made to feel so welcome and at home, she adjusted to her new home a lot easier than we imagined. This not only meant mum was now in professional care but also all the family could relax a bit as it was really becoming very stressful as we tried to let her live her life in her own home as long as we could. Thank You so much to all the staff at Randolph Hill. We will be eternally grateful for your care.
My father recently became a resident at Randolph Hill. He has been made to feel very welcomed and treated with the utmost care and respect. The staff are all friendly and caring. His medical and personal needs are well managed. The environment is clean and has a homely feel which we consider so important for his well-being. Our family is always made to feel welcomed, included, and informed of the different activities my father is participating in. Meals are healthy, tasty, and nutritious along with delicious home baking! Staff are responsive to changing needs and we know that when we are not with my father he is being well cared for. Having previously had a parent at Randolph Hill, I found it reassuring that many staff and management I knew then are still at RH. We are delighted with every aspect of care. We can see that my father feels settled and happy which is so very important to us. He thoroughly enjoys the meals and cakes, especially if there's extra fresh cream!
I am extremely satisfied with all elements of my mum's care. I have found all staff from the senior managers, nursing staff, carers, activity coordinators, cleaners, kitchen, and admin staff to be professional, committed to my Mums best care and welfare, and also concerned that I am satisfied with her stay. I am always informed of each and every intervention and made to feel welcome at any time. The staff go out of their way to include me as part of the Randolph Hill family and I cannot praise the excellent service enough,
A friend and I were visiting a friend in Randolph Hill. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. When we visited there was a singing session for the residents which they enjoyed and we did too. Very impressed by the care homes ambience.
My Mum has recently passed away at Randoph Hill. She had been a resident for the last 10 months of her life. During that time, she was treated with dignity, and respect and like a family member. The staff in this home really care. They provide a variety of activities for all abilities and regular day trips in the minibus. The rooms are freshly decorated for each resident and communal areas are regularly refreshed. Although it is not the "fanciest" care home in the local area, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Every single one of the staff goes above and beyond their duty to provide the best care for residents and their families. Thank you to you all.
Dad stayed at Randolph Hill Nursing Home for two years. An excellent nursing home, with excellent staff. Dad was treated with dignity and respect and every effort was made to ensure his wishes were met. Food, very important to Dad, was excellent. All staff were caring and compassionate. Mum visited daily and was made very welcome and included in events. Dad loved travel and thoroughly enjoyed the minibus excursions to the Transport Museum with a particular location being a highlight. Many activities are on offer. We also enjoyed the garden. Care is reviewed every six months - but any queries were swiftly addressed meantime. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Mum was transferred to Randolph Hill Dunblane yesterday by ambulance. Her welcome was warm, professional and calm. My sister and I were included by staff in settling her in and made to feel welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. We were so relieved and so glad to see Mum in an environment that is safe and caring but not clinical. She has already started to enjoy meals, been wheeled outside to see the garden, had a wash and blow dry by the visiting hairdresser etc. As a family, we are delighted that Mum has become a resident. We know she is safe and no longer needs to worry. We look forward to visiting her in her new home. Thank you one and all.
My mum has settled extremely well at Randolph Hill. This is down to the wonderful care and professionalism shown towards residents by staff. As a visitor I feel the friendly atmosphere as I enter the home with the lovely welcome given by the reception staff. I have been kept well informed by nursing staff about Mum's health and wellbeing. It shines through how well staff are really getting to know my mum. Surrounded by the company of other residents and staff plays a huge role on my mum's happiness. She thrives spending her day in the lounge and also participating in her choice of the many activities provided by the excellent activities team. Having the home split into individual units with their own lounge and dining area for small group living has been the perfect structure to allow my mum to become familiar with the residents within her small unit. Thank you Randolph Hill. I can enjoy valuable time with my mum doing things together.
Mum is very well cared for, and enjoys the company of the care staff. The standard of nursing care is excellent with good liaison with the local GP practice. The staff are always friendly and helpful when I visit or speak to them on the phone.
The home is fresh and clean with decorating and improvements going on on a regular basis. Right from the reception the staff are cheery and helpful. If I have any request then they are quick to respond in a positive manner. I know my mother is well catered for and she is happy with her care.
Randolph Hill ensures that people are the focus of everything that they do. My Mum moved into her home in October 2019 and has enjoyed making new friends and learning some new interests. All the staff are super friendly and have taken a real interest in my Mum. I have already recommended Randolph Hill to others. I now get to visit my Mum and enjoy a cup of tea and chat. The Manger and her team are awesome.
Although a sizeable home, with quite a large number of staff, the structure breaks down into six self-sufficient wings that make everything more personal. Planning and communication are excellent, which means that care plans are carried out consistently, even by a range of staff members. Activity staff, bring a welcome dimension both for those spending most of their time in the home and for those who can enjoy day trips out. The setting itself is lovely and recent developments to the garden have been thoughtfully managed to give as much access to residents as possible. If there are changes or if we have concerns, we have felt listened to and as a result, are not hesitant when there are issues to discuss. The sense of sharing the care is worth its weight in gold.
