Your one in a million .
Since becoming a resident at Bandrum in the last month, my gran has been well very looked after and encouraged to take part in a number of activities and events on a regular basis. The staff already know her well and are always welcoming, kind and lovely when we visit. Today we took part in the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" with some of the residents and the huge effort staff went to was clear. We had a lovely time as did gran! The home is clean, welcoming and feels safe. We are so glad she is somewhere we can trust.
My cousin receives the best care possible from the dedicated staff. Her room is cleaned daily all aspects of hygiene are undertaking. The activities team work hard to keep her mind alert. I'm very satisfied with her care.
My sister stayed at Bandrum Nursing Home for 9 months while a permanent placement was being organised! I cannot praise all the staff highly enough, she was made to feel so welcome and looked after fantastically. She moved there shortly after the death of our mother and the emotional support she received was excellent.
My partner was in bandrum in 2018 for respite and the care was top drawer indeed. Sadly she returns to bandrum again as a permanent patient, I know and have seen the care teams attitude is excellent indeed, And I admire that stoic attitude. I know my partner's is in kind hands thank you for the care and the care to come.
My dad was admitted into Bandrum Nursing Home in June this year suffering from advanced dementia. From the very first day right to his last in September, the staff made him feel welcome and comfortable and cared for him as if he was one of their own family. Every member of staff that we met was caring, professional and nothing short of excellent. They looked after my dad's every need and showed a level of compassion and respect that meant so much to my family - although my dad's condition was difficult for us, we took a great deal of comfort knowing that he was being cared for by such a wonderful team. We cannot thank them enough and they will forever have our heartfelt gratitude and admiration.
First time visit and very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. Accommodation welcoming and well looked after in a lovely setting. All areas clean and tidy. Residents all seemed happy to see new faces and it must give relatives peace of mind to see their family in the setting.
I came into Bandrum Nursing Home in 1989 just by chance when my mum noticed an advert in the Dunfermline Press about a revolution in caring for people. We applied and got in. The residents were friendly so were the staff who just like today were always busy as the very sick came first. But got to you to see if everything is okay. I suppose I and many others can say they've been through thick and thin. Many losses in my family as well as my mum. The home was good about that with support, counselling and care advice. Through the years I developed many interests Church, Pilgrimage to France and holy places in Scotland, England also days out with the home bus runs to interesting places. The cinema, Perth races and Pantomime at Christmas time.
My father was a temporary resident at Bandrum from December 2023 until June 2024. During this time he received the utmost care in a friendly and professional environment. The staff were very considerate of our situation and extremely attentive to my father's needs. I was very impressed by the senior management team and their consistent support, which gave me peace of mind that my father was in safe hands. All staff without exception were cheerful and polite, and happy to fulfill any request we had. I am very appreciative of what they did for my father during his short stay and have no hesitation in recommending Bandrum as a premier nursing home facility.
Since my mother moved into Bandrum, nearly a year ago, her overall health and well-being have improved significantly. The staff are great and are very considerate and kind to her. Unfortunately was no longer able to properly look after herself in her own home, even with care support, but she is in much better shape now than when she moved in. Her medical needs are well taken care of, and she rarely has the discomfort and difficulties that troubled her Also, on any given day at Bandrum, my mother has more social interaction and activity than she had in a month at home, which is excellent for her mental health. Since settling in, the family is very comfortable knowing the home is looking after her - when we visit, we can see she is now relaxed, not in pain, and less anxious.
Our mum was a resident at Bandrum from Christmas 2022 until she sadly passed away in August 2023 at the fine age of 92. While she took a wee while to settle in, as a family we were always certain that she was receiving the best of care at Bandrum and she was always pleased to see us when we visited her. The staff in particular deserve praise for their relentlessly cheery demeanour and the affection and care that they demonstrated towards all the residents – including Mum. Then, when she was in her final days, their compassion and the attention they paid to her needs were second to none. As a family, we were - and are - unanimous in our belief that she was in the best possible place, given her needs. On behalf of the whole family, we thank Bandrum and all their staff for looking after our mum.
My Aunt has been a resident in Bandrum for the last five months, her care is exemplary performed with kindness tact and professionalism. I can only express my gratitude for this as it enables me to feel confident that her care is always as it should be. The staff are kind caring with an attention to detail. The food is excellent and each resident is catered to as an individual. Thankyou.
My brother is a resident, he is well cared for always clean shaved and dressed comfortably anytime I visit. Always happy staff, helpful and respectful and contact me with any concerns and the room is always clean and tidy. The family are content and happy he is well cared for.
As a family, we have no complaints about the care given to my wife. We feel she is well looked after and cared for.
I cannot praise Bandrum Nursing Home highly enough having had a fair amount of care home experiences Bandrum is definitely off the scale. Walking in the door you are met with a true family atmosphere, staffing levels are brilliant and the staff is always above and beyond the line of duty. My wife has been in the Bandrum family for over a year now she is so contented and calm which gives me and my daughters so much reassurance she is in the correct environment. Her dementia has robbed us of our mum and wife but the knowledge she is being so well looked after helps so much. Would put Bandrum on top of any list. Top marks to everyone involved looks like a happy place to work as the staff always smiling and engaging.
I transferred my dad to Bandrum Nursing Home to be nearer to me as he spent 3 years in a care home over an hour away from me and my family. I am so grateful that I was able to visit Dad every day in his final weeks. The care given to him was excellent. The home was very welcoming, the staff always seemed to be interacting with the residents and the whole environment was calm, with no stress. The carers and nurses always had the time to answer any questions I had. I found the manager most personable and professional.
I cannot articulate how grateful I am for the care that the staff at Bandrum give my mum. Mum has medium/advanced dementia and was moved to Bandrum just over a year ago when we were worried that moving her at all would be hugely disruptive. From the reassurance I was given at a really stressful time of moving her (her local council refused to cover her existing care home fees when her money ran out), to her everyday existence, I am humbled by the care and attention she receives in all areas of her life. I have never known my mum happier. Ironic that in her previous life, she was never satisfied, and yet now in her dementia world she seems perfectly at ease. The staff are all efficient, friendly and above all fun, caring and attentive to the residents and I have yet to come across anything at all to even remark upon, let alone complain about. I'm so relieved to have found this home. Thank you to all the staff and management.
My Mam recently passed away While staying in Bandrum the management and staff could not have been nicer. Mam had dementia towards the end of her life and although she remembered less and had some problems talking. I was always sure she was being well cared for. She never complained about any part of the care home, her room, food or care. She might not have known accurately where she was but she was always happy. I am very grateful to all the staff for the consideration shown both to my Mam and my family. Staff were always friendly and helpful and there was always a cup of tea if you needed it. I chose Bandrum originally for my Mam based on if I would like to stay there and my view has not changed yes I would. If you have never needed a care home before I can honestly say you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere as good as Bandrum. I just hope they have room if I ever need somewhere.
My wife was in Bandrum for only 5 weeks until she died in July. She suffered from mixed vascular dementia. During the time she was in Bandrum, I found the staff and management very efficient, professional and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home. Already said to the general manager that should I need to go into a home, I want it to be Bandrum.
I was very worried about my mum moving to Bandrum. It was during lockdown which meant I could not be there with her to help her settle in. I had absolutely no reason at all to feel worried. Once I was able to see my mum my mind was put completely at ease. She is so much more relaxed and content. She is always full of chat and song when I see her now. She is definitely receiving the care that she needs and deserves. The staff have all been so helpful and always have time to talk when I call to see how Mum is doing. The surrounding area is definitely another plus point. It is so lovely and peaceful. I definitely recommend Bandrum’s services.
