My wife has vascular dementia, I cared for her at home until August 25, when I suffered a heart attack and was unable to continue caring for her. My wife has been living at Chapel Level Nursing Care Home since September 25. I was impressed with the facilities and liked the fact there were no stairs, my wife has chronic arthritis in both hips, so she has a wheel chair and walking aids. The staff at this facility are knowledgeable and caring. The food very good with a varied menu. Because of her lack of memory my wife took time to settle in, but staff were very patient with her. As I ask lots of questions and visit the home daily, the staff have been very patient with me.

Before moving to Chapel Level, my dad was poorly, gave up and came close to losing him. Since being there has made a massive impact on him for the better. He is more awake, alert, and interacts with people. Can't thank all the staff enough for love and care giving to him, nice to see their effort to improve all residents' quality of life, I really believe if wasn't for the move here we would have lost him now. Susan, also, I need to mention as a manager comes out of the office, takes time going round, speaks to resident. Family is also looked after and cared for too.

Came by to visit. I was surprised to see how clean and tidy the site and surroundings are. As I enter the front door, I could feel the warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The cleanliness and organized surroundings is pleasing to the eyes and gives a strong feeling of reassurance of a comfortable/safe care to all residents.

My mum moved into this care home as she has dementia and my dad is unable to care for her at home anymore. I cannot fault this care at all. The staff are absolutely superb. So attentive and understanding of people with dementia. It gives us as a family and my dad piece of mind that mum is getting well cared for. The rooms are well maintained , clean and enough storage. A list of activities in the cafe area to let you know what is going on.

Most of the staff are friendly. Meals very nice. They put on good shows for the elderly with nice singers. Rooms are nice and tidy. My mums hygiene is not been good at all since she got here, hair very greasy for 3 to 4 days which meant she wasn't getting showered or bathed. But had a word with staff nurse and seems to be fine now. Made my mum appointment with foot chiropodist a month ago, and still not got seen to.

Mum has been here since the 22nd of April 25. After the expected settling in period, she is very happy with her experience of living here. She particularly mentions how good the staff are with her, and she definitely enjoys the food. Most importantly, she has mentioned how safe she feels.

My partner needed to go in for 1 week respite and from the minute he arrived he was treated with so much kindness from all staff. The staff care so much and made him feel at home along with everyone who visited him. Whilst all staff are very professional they are so welcoming & friendly. Certainly recommend home to anyone who needs their loved ones cared for by passionate people.

The stay for my wife was everything I expected and more. My wife has the best time and was looked after by a dedicated team who looked after her needs. They made her stay like she was on holiday, and it done wonders for her respite. Thank you xx

My sister in law is really settled here and she is well looked after. We are really pleased with the facilities. She seems very happy.

Pleasant entrance, staff all nice, saying good morning etc. Room very comfortable and well appointed. There seems to be enough staff. Meals could be warmer, but plenty of changes, I am happy to support this review. The client is safe so that's good.

My grandmother has been in Chapel Level Care Home for 3 years, she has took to the change really well and made some good friends. The variety of food is what she would eat at home. the care staff are excellent with her and i feel if there were any issues, I can talk to carers or management.

It's now 2 plus years since mum came to Chapel Level, and she has blossomed due to the dedication of staff there. I couldn't have made a better choice everyone is so friendly and helpful, it's like a big family. Well done to everyone there keep up the good work.

The overall care provided to my husband is excellent. The care home is spotlessly clean, warm , bright and welcoming. The food is first class, with residents dietary needs catered for. The staff are all very caring. Efficient and friendly. It is a comfort to me to see my husband happy and content and well cared for. The smile on his face says it all.

Staff have always promoted my mum's choice by using different strategies that are person centred to meet her needs. Staff take on board what works for mum and her preferences. When mum has been unsettled when I leave, staff are always available to address my concerns. Nothing is too much for the staff and the staff who have supported mum have always been approachable. The staff have a holistic approach and have a wrap around approach which includes the carers/family. Our first impressions were around how friendly everyone was from admin to support and the manager.

This is a pleasant care home. Friendly care staff. The job to a high standard, with good care and dignity maintained. The food is nice and rooms are always clean and tidy, never had any problems or concerns with how the home functions. Carers contact me regularly to ask if I am happy with the service, highly recommend.

Chapel Level is what every care home should strive for. The welcoming staff always have a smile and a willingness to make every visit a pleasure. Their care and attention makes me and my husband contented that our decision, to make this his future home, a great one. The homely decor and the comfortable facilities with the attention to detail, alongside the cleanliness its as near to a home from home that we could wish for.
