View Full Details of Barchester Drummond Grange Care HomeAbsolutely terrible care home I came from another care home, it totally puts Drummond Grange to shame. The bed I'm in is old noisy and not flat very uncomfortable my disability restricts me to bed now. It might be closer and easier for friends and family to visit but I'm the one here so I need to put myself first.
There is a bit of a problem about getting my husbands clothes mixed up after being at the laundry, it's understandable as there are so many patients at the care home the staff look out for things for me, as long as he's looked after as they are doing that's all that really matters , he's very happy dancing when Sam sings he's a great nurse by the way so good at his job they all are at Drummond Grange it makes my life easier to know he's being well looked after thanks to everyone.
My daughter has been in Drummond Grange since June. She very settled. Staff are very good. She thrives on physical and mental activities. I would like to see her able to have more physio. It's always booked because it's so important for residents. The physio staff are very keen to bring the best out of them and sometimes my daughter can't get in. I feel it's vital for her and admire the staffs dedication when she's in a session. I see such improvement the more she does and would certainly like for to do more.
Very pleased with service & very helpful staff. Nothing is any bother which is satisfying and assuring knowing my wife is getting the best of care.
Last week we reported no internet in room my dad is 88 years old and having online streaming services is his life line. This has been intermitent since 20th June. The maintenance person came in whilst not on duty and tried everything to get it working. This is a connection issue with interet. I came into the home today and he has now been moved to another room Telly is working but alarm not its been reported and I expect it to be working within next 24hrd if not sooner your staff have been great.
Very happy with all services received at Drummond Grange.
I find the home is run on a very professional manor it is clean + bright. The staff are pleasant and careing towards the residents and visitors alike their dedication is comendable, my dog Amber thinks so too.
The care my son receives has been constantly very good with both his physical and mental health given good attention. The atmosphere in the unit is very friendly and welcoming.
Had a lovely birthday meal. The food was amazing and time staff were very attentive. We had a lovely room which over-looked the garden. Everyone really enjoyed our day.
We are celebrating my brother's birthday - he's 60! His wife (my sister-in-law) is a resident at Drummond Lodge. We've had the most delicious lunch - six of us - in and beautiful room. The day feels special and this feels like a home from home. Welcoming, warm and caring.
We came for lunch with my sister who is a resident of the care home. Everything was perfect. The meal was amazing. Staff were wonderfully helpful.
We were celebrating a resident's husbands birthday. We had a wonderful lunch - the chef excelled himself - a table set for us with silver, glasses and the food delicious. The resident was thrilled with everything Drummond Grange was outstanding. An occassion we won't forget. Thank you to the chef and all staff.
I have been to visit my relative several times and have always been impressed with the staff, the attention and the facilities. Today we were celebrating my relative's husband's birthday and a wonderful meal was prepared- well done!
My sister has been a resident at this care home for years, receiving consistently poor care. Despite her dementia, she is aware and deserves dignity. Staff frequently fail to provide her allotted cigarettes, causing distress. Since the beginning, it has seemed they did not truly welcome her. Only a few, like one staff member in particular, offer compassionate care. She has been in and out of the hospital, yet the home's communication has been inadequate. She now suffers from severe pneumonia, heart issues, acid imbalance, and carbon monoxide in her blood-issues that should have been identified earlier. My mother had to fight for grab rails, and conditions, including soiled pads left in her bathroom, are unacceptable. Nurses in the unit has been unhelpful, and the manager lacks leadership. Should she pass due to negligence, we will take further action. This facility operates more like a prison than a care home, and the care provided is unacceptable.
Pleasant staff, good food. Physio staff exceptional.
Barchester Drummond Grange Care Home is very friendly. My friend gets looked after really well. The place is very clean, the staff are really nice.
Christmas day. The quality of food was amazing, piping how and great selection. 10/10. Also, the staff worked so hard.
Come for Christmas dinner to spend time with my daughter. The food was so good and the staff were amazing.
It was disappointing to arrive and see our mum badly positioned in her bed with the door open - her body uncovered and unable to move herself. This is not "celebrating life" in any way!
Excellent but there needs to be a better ramp at main entrance which is easier for wheelchairs. Every time for the last year, I need to turn completely around to enter the building backwards.
